Great hotel with character in a city full of shiny new buildings. The location was superb 2 min walk to the Maxwell centre and MRT (with more public transport not much further away), 4 min walk to the Amoy centre (crispy curry puffs!), 10 min to Hong Lim hawker centre with lovely egg tarts on the way or Lau Pa Sat with lots of bars and restaurants on the way, 25 min to Marina Bay Sands… you get the idea. So easy and convenient. The staff are sweet and friendly, and makes you feel welcome without being intrusive. The rooms comfortable and quiet with effective AC, great quality mattress and pillows and lovely water pressure. The 5 pm happy hour and 24 hour free snacks was a bonus. I’d be happy to stay at Ann Siang House anytime I visited Singapore or wanted to break up a long haul flight with delicious pit stop.

Hard to find anything to fault. A little complicated to dim the room lights low and the corner room wasn’t quite the layout I expected but really these aren’t important.

The room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The location was fabulous - close to trains and hawker centres. The nibbles available downstairs were fun. Liked the sparkling water on tap. The staff were friendly and helpful. The air conditioning was quiet which was amazing. Lovely boutique hotel. Very good value for Singapore given the comfort and location.

The room layout of our room meant there was only a small gap to get around one side of the bed for one person. Not a problem for us though and my sisters room higher up was larger did not have this unusual layout.

Location is fabulous! It's super close to Maxwell MRT as well as a multitude of dining options including two of Singapores best hawker's centres plus four local dining streets. It's also very quite during the day and just a few steps out of the busy night time districts, so you get the best of both worlds.

While they offer a free happy hour every afternoon between 5pm and 6pm in the lounge area behind reception, they do not have a restaurant or a bar, which means no breakfast and nowhere to meet up for drinks outside of their designated happy hour. This is understandable, due to the boutique size of the building however, it's a shame they haven't considered losing a few rooms to create a small dining and bar area.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Ann Siang House, and it exceeded all expectations. The convenience extends to transportation too - the Singapore MRT station is a 5-8 minute walk away, making it easy to explore the entire city. The hotel itself is a standout in terms of service and amenities. Staff is present 24/7 and consistently went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. A thoughtful touch is the 24-hour access to complimentary non-alcoholic beverages and light snacks in the lobby - perfect for those late-night cravings or early morning starts. The rooms are generously sized and tastefully furnished, with incredibly comfortable beds that ensure a good night's rest after exploring the city. The free high-speed WiFi worked flawlessly throughout the property. A particularly practical amenity is the complimentary washer and dryer available for guests - a real convenience for longer stays or when traveling in Singapore's humid climate. Whether you're visiting Singapore for business or leisure, I highly recommend Ann Siang House. Its perfect blend of historic charm, modern amenities, and unbeatable location make it an exceptional choice for anyone seeking a memorable stay in Singapore.

Wonderful location and genuine informal kindness of staff. Historic nature of the building was interesting. Smaller hotel. Genuine high quality bathroom products and bed linen.

-It’s a small boutique type hotel with only 20 guest rooms. -Friendly front desk staff (except one female staff, without a smiley face, didn’t seemed to be helpful when asking for lost item) - excellent front desk male staff : Melve, who demonstrated perfect caring customer service. 👍 -good location -free guest laundry, ideally with “softener” as well

We booked a premium room, but when checked in, a much smaller room was allocated. Had my son not raised the issue, we would have took the room. They then rearranged us to a premium room the next day. The room is a bit dark, I suggest more light fitting will solve the issue.

We loved this hotel! It is so beautifully decorated and close to lots of restaurants (check out Jungle around the corner!), hawker centres and metro stops. And despite the central location the hotel is very peaceful and quiet. We slept amazing and felt very comfortable. The unlimited free snacks, good coffee and soft drinks were an unexpected bonus. And the fact that you can wash your clothes for free in the laundry room is amazing, we had just spent a week in Malaysia and being able to have fresh clothes after that was a bliss. We will definitely stay here the next time we come to Singapore. All in all this hotel just has a great vibe and we loved it.

Great boutique hotel in a fabulous location, right near Maxwell MRT and Maxwell Hawker Centre. Also very near to Telok Ayer MRT which is on the Down Town line. It's easy walking distance to Lau Pa Sat Hawker Centre and Satay Street. The room was a really good size and the bed was extremely comfortable. A handy unlimited (free) snack station in the lobby with water (still and sparkling) on tap, plus tea supplies and a Nespresso coffee machine. We had a very comfortable stay here. Ann Siang House is a great base to explore everything Singapore has to offer.

The bathroom was very small, but it didn't matter to us as our room was spacious which was more important. The Ashley & Co toiletries were a treat that made up for the size of the bathroom 😀

Ann Siang House was my pick after researching many properties. It's location in the heart of Chinatown was super convenient for exploring the city and getting around. Less than 5 minutes from Maxwell hawker centre and Maxwell MRT Station + walkable to many other busstops. Even though there was no in house restaurant for breakfast, the self serve snacks were perfect- especially when you can't say no to wandering down the hill to Hawker food. The hotel itself was beautifully kept with lovely staff who made sure our little family was comfortable. They provided us a cot for my baby and the King size bed for my husband and I was very spacious. The complimentary use of the washing machine and dryer was Perfect! 10/10 would come back and stay there again.

If ever they'd open in-house cafe or restaurant/bar upstairs it would be a cherry on top. NOT a deal breaker at all though! Would just be a nice bonus.

We enjoyed the location, it was in a nice and cozy locstion, quiet during the night even if there were lots of clubs and entertaining places around. The hotel has this unlimited snacking policy and it was nice to go in the lobby for a cup.of coffee and some snacks. The rooms were modern and quite clean. The overall aspect of the hotel is nice and puts you in a cozy atmosphere.

The hotel was clean but we did use some shelves that were defibetely not touched for a vrry long time and we had to dust them. Also, they have this policy of putting a card on the bed for changing sheets and we did use it once but our sheets were definetely not changed. The TV in the room is very small.
