Location is fabulous! It's super close to Maxwell MRT as well as a multitude of dining options including two of Singapores best hawker's centres plus four local dining streets. It's also very quite during the day and just a few steps out of the busy night time districts, so you get the best of both worlds.

While they offer a free happy hour every afternoon between 5pm and 6pm in the lounge area behind reception, they do not have a restaurant or a bar, which means no breakfast and nowhere to meet up for drinks outside of their designated happy hour. This is understandable, due to the boutique size of the building however, it's a shame they haven't considered losing a few rooms to create a small dining and bar area.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Ann Siang House, and it exceeded all expectations. This beautifully restored historic shophouse perfectly balances Singapore's rich heritage with modern comfort and convenience. The location cannot have been better. Nestled in the heart of Chinatown, you're surrounded by other carefully preserved shophouses that transport you to Singapore's past while keeping you connected to everything the modern city offers. You're just steps away from countless dining options, from iconic hawker centers to trendy restaurants and bars. The convenience extends to transportation too - the Singapore MRT station is a 5-8 minute walk away, making it easy to explore the entire city. The hotel itself is a standout in terms of service and amenities. Staff is present 24/7 and consistently went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. A thoughtful touch is the 24-hour access to complimentary non-alcoholic beverages and light snacks in the lobby - perfect for those late-night cravings or early morning starts. The rooms are generously sized and tastefully furnished, with incredibly comfortable beds that ensure a good night's rest after exploring the city. The free high-speed WiFi worked flawlessly throughout the property. A particularly practical amenity is the complimentary washer and dryer available for guests - a real convenience for longer stays or when traveling in Singapore's humid climate. Whether you're visiting Singapore for business or leisure, I highly recommend Ann Siang House. Its perfect blend of historic charm, modern amenities, and unbeatable location make it an exceptional choice for anyone seeking a memorable stay in Singapore.

Wonderful location and genuine informal kindness of staff. Historic nature of the building was interesting. Smaller hotel. Genuine high quality bathroom products and bed linen.

We loved this hotel! It is so beautifully decorated and close to lots of restaurants (check out Jungle around the corner!), hawker centres and metro stops. And despite the central location the hotel is very peaceful and quiet. We slept amazing and felt very comfortable. The unlimited free snacks, good coffee and soft drinks were an unexpected bonus. And the fact that you can wash your clothes for free in the laundry room is amazing, we had just spent a week in Malaysia and being able to have fresh clothes after that was a bliss. We will definitely stay here the next time we come to Singapore. All in all this hotel just has a great vibe and we loved it.

We enjoyed the location, it was in a nice and cozy locstion, quiet during the night even if there were lots of clubs and entertaining places around. The hotel has this unlimited snacking policy and it was nice to go in the lobby for a cup.of coffee and some snacks. The rooms were modern and quite clean. The overall aspect of the hotel is nice and puts you in a cozy atmosphere.

The hotel was clean but we did use some shelves that were defibetely not touched for a vrry long time and we had to dust them. Also, they have this policy of putting a card on the bed for changing sheets and we did use it once but our sheets were definetely not changed. The TV in the room is very small.

Ann Siang House was my pick after researching many properties. It's location in the heart of Chinatown was super convenient for exploring the city and getting around. Less than 5 minutes from Maxwell hawker centre and Maxwell MRT Station + walkable to many other busstops. Even though there was no in house restaurant for breakfast, the self serve snacks were perfect- especially when you can't say no to wandering down the hill to Hawker food. The hotel itself was beautifully kept with lovely staff who made sure our little family was comfortable. They provided us a cot for my baby and the King size bed for my husband and I was very spacious. The complimentary use of the washing machine and dryer was Perfect! 10/10 would come back and stay there again.

If ever they'd open in-house cafe or restaurant/bar upstairs it would be a cherry on top. NOT a deal breaker at all though! Would just be a nice bonus.

I admit at first, it was its heritage and sympathetic restoration that first attracted me to this Amazing Accommodation. Every staff member we met, went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable as possible. Everyone had a smile and greetings but the front of house girls, Paru, Nicole and Mira, really made it feel like a home away from home. Nothing was too hard and that smile when you walk in the door after a hot adventure lost in the streets of Singapore, that guaranteed smile, welcome back made it all worthwhile. I even met Stanley, my last morning and as I observed him arrive and greet everyone, he somehow snuck out and went to the local shop selling the most flakiest buttery curry puff pies ( sorry I’m not sure of it correct name) he even gave one to me!!! I was just hiding downstairs earlier due to nightmares. This hotel ooozes 5 stars and deserves more. Our room was incredibly large, compared to what we had read in our research and told to expect. Most importantly, this wonderful group of people banded together, some on their days off, to help me track down the cab that had taken us to the airport. Unfortunately we had left behind a very sentimental scarf, that was irreplaceable….. but with all there immediate help, we were able to organise for the same driver to return to the departure drop off zone and get it back to me. It shouldn’t have been possible but this holiday has given me faith back in others. Singapore has become a favourite destination now.

Honestly not one thing, though I do believe the coffee machine didn’t like me and only seemed to work when I had to ask for help. But that’s Machines for you 😁 and the 3x girls all helped me without any fuss xx

The property is nice looking, and the location is excellent. Even though we had a street facing room, we didn’t get bothered with noise at night. The staff were friendly but we didn’t get much information when we checked in.

There are almost no amenities in the bathroom. You have to ring to request soap for the hand basin. Outside our room near the lifts, the staff used that sitting area as a staff room. There was always someone sat there eating their breakfast, watching videos on their phone out loud, folding towels etc. They need to find a more appropriate place for that. Cleaning equipment and bags of laundry were also stored there (pics attached). We were swayed to stay there by reviews of a complimentary happy hour, but the choices were slim. If you’re a white wine drinker, they only had Chardonnay. Overall it was fine for a few days, but the things mentioned above would mean we wouldn’t go back.

Very friendly service, 24-hour free snacks, great coffee and beverages in the lobby including complimentary wine 5-6 pm, great coffee and for free 24h, super location in the old town - many MRT just in 5-8 min walk, many bars and restaurants, one hawker is just around the corner, Lau Pa Sat hawker just 7 min walk. A Buddha Teeth Tempel just 3-4 min. Very comfy beds. We had a premier suite, which was really spacious, we even had massage chair in the room :) It was also surprisingly quiet despite the old town. We had many luxurious hotels with pools in the list, but we were really happy we chose this one.

The hotel doesn't have a pool, but for us, it was no problem. The pools are usually crowded anyway :) The hotel also doesn't provide breakfast, but again- no problem for us as we enjoyed a great coffee with healthy snacks and muffins at the hotel that kick off the day and had a more serious meal in the nearby cafes and hawkers. It was an ideal solution for us.

This hotel is a treasure of Singapore. We had a Premier room with a balcony and street view, big enough for two adults and two children. Luxurious bathroom, perfect cleaning. Ann Siang Hill is a quiet part of Chinatown, a few minutes walk from the main hustle and bustle. The hotel is within walking distance of the center, within easy reach of two different metro lines. Even though the accommodation doesn't officially offer breakfast, you can have coffee, muffins, cookies, crackers at any time of the day... I've already stayed in hotels with paid breakfasts worse than this complimentary corner. Moreover, at five in the afternoon the hotel offers a few glasses of beer or good wine complimentary. A trifle, but it really pleases. I must highlight the extremely helpful and dedicated receptionists.

The carpets in the common hallways need to be replaced. It spoils the good impression.
