Overall we really enjoyed our stay for the short period we were there. The hotel facilties were great, it was the room that let's it down. The location was fantasticly placed right by the MRT, and the rooms were clean modern and tidy. The pool was really nice and the breakfast buffet was really good.

Generally, from an ergonomical perspective the room design was poor, whereby to maximize the revenue of the development over overall comfort, we felt crammed. Such as: - the toilet being placed right against the shower. In addition, the toilet roll holder is behind you, and above head height. The sink is also in the room and therefore there wasn't space to hang a hand towel. - there was not enough room to layout two suitcases on the ground.

Only opened the day before our stay. We were impressed with the general decor, efficient lift service and the pool. Naturally enough they had some ‘teething problems which would be fixed with the maintenance program.

The toilet seat design may need reviewing as does the positioning of the toilet roll dispenser.

Great location. Easy walk to multiple hawkers, train stations and everything else. Good beds. Soap and shampoo smelt nice. Pool was nice to hang out after a long day exploring. Washing and drying machines are good and cleaned regularly. $5 SGD each, roughly 30mins for both. $1 SGD for two washing pods. No card or QR payment, head to the lobby for coins if you need. Didn't personally use the gym, but it is small but has enough equipment to do a small workout. Cleaned regularly by staff. Yes, rooms are small, but bigger than Japan size if you are familiar with them. As a couple, we didn't have any issues. The beds are high, so you can easily store luggage underneath.

Fancy lift that doesn't need to be. Most hotels/business lifts; you call for lift, get in, tap your card, press your level. At this hotel, you tap your room card first. Don't get into the lift until you tap. No option to tap your card or tell where to go when you are inside the lift. The check in staff did not mention this at all. We were lucky as there were other guests who told us about needing to tap the card for the lift. We also had to help other new guests when we passed by them at the lobby. Instructions given at check in or adding a sign to lobby floor lifts is an easy fix. Just helps exhausted guests that just want to get to their room... Add a shower seal. Shower water leaks onto the bathroom floor. Add a seal to the bottom of the shower screen.

This is a brand new hotel. Located in Chinatown, it is a very affordable, highly comfortable place to stay. Friendly staff, clean rooms. Good breakfast, big swimming pool. Very big flat screen with TV, YouTube and Netflix. Next time in Singapore we will stay here again for sure!!

Room was not cleaned properly before check in. Hallway carpets dirty.

Great variety for breakfast, comfy bed, pool and gym available, friendly staff, room was well organized, location (walking distance to all main sights)

Central location especially if visiting Marina Bay Sands and Gardens by the Bay. Very helpful, friendly staff.

Pool area lacked character. Needed more outdoor furniture and a poolside bar. We did book a smaller room but the size of the bathroom was ridiculous.

Excellent location, so easy to get to MRT stations. Also, it is walkable to many attractions. Hotel was clean and modern, staff were very friendly and helpful.

Room size was not a problem for us, it's all you need when you're out exploring all day. The only issue was the noise. We had a room right next to the elevators and there is absolutely NO sound proofing from outside in the hallway. We were woken up late at night and very early in the morning by inconsiderate guests.

The room was small (family double), but so well appointed. The pool was lovely, large enough to get in a few laps. The hotel was only a few meters from China Town and the MRT.

Bathroom was a little tight but still quite luxurious.

Requested for high floor and good view. Indeed was given 11th floor and facing the pool. Peaceful and calming for the mood. During booking, informed that the staycation was to celebrate mom's birthday. There was a surprise balloon, card and 2 cupcakes for the celebration. Was indeed very surprised for the touching gesture as it is a very newly minted hotel and earlier guests have commented that there were teething issues. The touching gesture made our stay very pleasant and heartwarming. Simply and cosy room too.

Aircon bit strange. Switched on but kinda off by itself and was rather warm middle of night. Well, new hotel and such may be teething issues. Not a big deal to be unhappy with. Well done still, Mecure Icon. :)
