The location is very convenient, Chinatown its a beautiful and interesting neighborhood. The metro station Chinatown, Downtown Line, is right in front of the house! The AC worked fine and was essential to our comfort.

I m not a big fan of the concept "no staff hostel". There was a man having dinner both nights, he would sit down on the reception desk from time to time. When we asked him help he replied he didnt work there!? But then we asked where we could have towels, he gave us two towels since there werent any at the bedroom. There was a lot of dust above the bed and used tissues on the floor.

It was the first time we tried a Bunk bed and we really loved it. The bed are pretty good at from outside and the ventilation inside is more than sufficient. We didn't feel claustrophobic at all. The service here is pretty good too- they promptly replied to our messages. The place is also a stone's throw away from the Chinatown MRT stop, so it's easy to get to (or 27 SGD from the airport by Grab).

The guy receptionist is very helpful when I first check-in and through out the stay. The location is very convenient as it's just a min away from Chinatown MRT.

Still not used to sharing room with others so does gets a bit on my nerve when other are too noisy or snore during sleep.

I had the pleasure of staying at Beary Best! Hostel in Singapore, and I can highly recommend it! The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of Chinatown, just a few minutes from the MRT station, making it incredibly easy to explore the city. The atmosphere in the hostel is very relaxed and friendly. I especially want to highlight the staff, particularly Siti at the reception. She was incredibly kind, helpful, and always patient, no matter what questions I had. Her smile brightened up every morning, and she always went the extra mile to make guests feel comfortable. The rooms and common areas were clean enough.

Overall, my stay at Beary Best! The hostel was very enjoyable. There is nothing to complain about.

Good value for money

Saw there’s rat running around the padio. There is no lock for our lockers storage.

I like the space in the private room. Big enough for me & my friend to share and open our luggage. Got a table to put our stuff and got a few plugs too. Got a big space in the lobby to chill and got a kitchen pantry. The staff was good and tried their best to work fast since everyone was checking in for Taylor swift concert 😅

There's only 1 toilet and 2 shower cubicles in the female bathroom which I think is not enough for so many rooms on the 2nd floor. I heard the 3rd floor also same. We were there for Taylor swift concert, everyone was rushing to use the bathroom and doing makeup that it's crowded and need queue for shower/toilet. Only got 1 hairdryer and it will stop when overheated. The room is not sound proof, so it's easy to hear the noises outside the hostel & outside our room especially since our room is next to the female bathroom (Tenderheart room). Everytime people go in, the door will bang.

We love that this hostel provide self-service laundry and adequate kitchen so that we can do the laundry while preparing our breakfast. We enjoy the comfortable and well air conditioned common room to rest or to quick check our mails. There is (very high temperature) iron available at the ground floor. Our bed, pillow, and blanket is very comfortable we did slept very well. The room is not totally sound proof but we were not bothered by the sound since it was not that loud either. There is a place to hang dry our clothes in the bathroom.

The bedroom we chose was private for two, and it was not as big as in the picture. Some of the light at the ladies bathroom in the 3rd floor was off. There was some mold in the shower area. The sink didn't drain well. There were no bathroom sandals available.

We only ever met the lady at reception but she was lovely and very helpful. Location is very ideal directly opposite the metro station. The bathroom facilities were very clean. Perfect that they have curtains as this is a must for us when booking a hostel.

Not a particularly social hostel to meet other travellers, but very comfortable, and there are social areas I'm sure you can linger in and meet people.

Very cold room - great after walking around Singapore. Little table in the outside bit was great to sit at. Bathrooms are pretty tropical- wide windows you can see the city from. Not air conditioned bathrooms.

The common area at night felt a little sketchy - mostly men all the time. No one was laughing or joking. Perhaps long termers. You have to key in a code to get in but there wasnt any 24/7 reception. I would of felt saver with someone at the desk. I didn’t know if the men hanging out the front were guests or not. So yeah, as a female, would of loved a 24/7 staff attending the desk. Or some lights out the front. Not many cheap hostel options in SG, might stay at a hotel next time, even if its more expensive.

I liked that there was a big enough social area to meet others and also do any internet work if needed. There were separate bathrooms for male and female and they were located outside the dorm room, which is nice so nobody gets disturbed from their sleep. The staff, especially Citi, were extremely nice and very helpful. The MRT was right across the street, very handy !
