This small boutique hotel decorated in Peranakan style is very well located for visiting family and friends in Tiong Bahru. It’s within walking distance of two MRT stations and TB shopping plaza, several food courts and cafes (the famous TB bakery is around the corner and also a branch of Toast Box). I was allocated a quiet safe room with good air-con, and comfortable bed. The staff were friendly and helpful. I liked my room, the decor, the bathroom, the complimentary herbal teas, the location across the road from the TB main food court, in this pleasant quiet suburb with lots of character, it was a joy to return to my room at the end of days out. Would visit again if visiting family. I really didn’t dislike anything.

Excellent location, close to local food market. Very friendly staff; they let us check in a bit earlier and we could store luggage after the check out. Swimming pool was clean although area around it could be arranged better to be more inviting, i.e., more seats, plants, etc. The room was smaller than expected but since we stayed two nights, it did not bother us too much. The bed was very comfortable. It was a pity windows were not openable (probably due to the AC); it would have been nice to have an option to hear the buzz of the city from the hotel room. Hot water and excellent water flow in the shower.

I really enjoyed my stay at Nostalgia. It lived up to its name, i.e., it has an old worlds charm. My room came with a nice wide bed with a very good mattress, several small lights that allowed for me to get my work done. Everything functioned well. I really enjoyed the friendly and efficient staff at Nostalgia. I do appreciate a friendly greeting and the help the staff provided with my luggage, printing, public transport, etc. The free flow of coffee was a real treat! I also enjoyed the little pool with its deck. It is not a lap pool but it allowed for me to catch a few rays of sunshine, cool down from the hot days, and refresh. Additionally, there are good eateries within the block which allowed for me to focus on my work and not waste time by searching around. Lastly, the location is within easy reach of the MRT system and buses. I will book my next stay in Singapore at Nostalgia!

My only suggestion is about a work area. It would be good to either have a bigger desk in the rooms (mine was very small) or a public, well lit area to spread out papers.

I like that this hotel is not one of the usual featureless skyscrapers, and has some character. It has only 3 floors and the top floor sports the very welcome, small pool and a couple of sun loungers. The room and bed were very comfy and overall I was happy. There's a subway station quite close by.

Another time I'd book a balcony room because although mine had a big window, there was no way of opening it, which is a bit claustrophobic. I spent time on the roof instead The shower door does not seal properly and it floods the bathroom floor. The food court opposite, which was a big draw, is closed for construction work. There are other eating places nearby, including the Italian restaurant right next door, which offers a small discount. It's outrageously expensive, though. There's no breakfast available at the hotel. The hotel itself is also very expensive once the local taxes have been added. I suppose that's just Singapore. But I was glad to be moving onto the better-value Malaysia.

We stayed one night at Nostalgia Hotel and really enjoyed it. The room was clean, cozy, and very comfortable, with a bathroom fully equipped with everything we needed. The swimming pool was a lovely bonus, perfect for a refreshing dip after exploring the city. The hotel is well-located, close to a metro station and a short walk from Chinatown, making it easy to get around. We truly appreciated the comfort and charm of this hotel and would definitely love to come back on our next trip to Singapore!

The location is great - there are some super places nearby to eat and the access to public transport is really good. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable and our requests for a quieter room were met.

As with all hotels in Singapore, you always pay a premium and we limited our stay due to the cost. It would be nice to see more affordable options, or the ability to reduce the per night charge for guests who choose to stay longer.

Lovely staff. Good location close to MRT stations. Good hawker market right opposite. Balcony room nice to have a small area to sit outside. Room quiet and comfortable, good bathroom and shower. Small swimming pool very good too!

Nothing really. As normal in Singapore rooms are a bit small but adequate for a few nights. Decor a bit tired but in a way more interesting than most standard international hotels.

Excellent value for money. Small rooms but everything thats needed. Easy access to mrt system and easy access to good food at great prices. Careful with the genuine authentic chinese massage joint down the road a bit. I had a bad shoulder and neck. Probably not used to punters rejecting the extras offer....

Maybe the pool could be a bit cooler. But it was clean and easily accessed.

I love the hotel. The hotel was very clean. I read the reviews and a lot were saying about how small the room were and i am worried we don't have space to perform prayer. But im surprised it wasn't that small. We can perform prayer comfortably. The bathroom was spacious too. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and clean. I love the hotel and would come again if i visit singapore again in the future.

Nice hotel with historic elements. Staff is amazing: performing above and beyond. Amazing powerful shower. Coffee machine at reception. Nice but small swimming pool. Staff brought another pillow in the middle of the nights (because the room came with only very thick pillows).

Unfortunately the airco in the room couldn't be set to fan only without cooling. Even after adjusting the temperature, the air quality wasn't good. I got a soar throat from the air conditioning. No breakfast available.
