The location was a positive, with two train stations in walking distance and dinner options too. Breakfast was great too with so many choices. The hotel were nice enough to hold out bags when we checked out and offered access to change area so we could freshen up before heading to airport.

So these are some things that things that could be improved on and good for other travellers to know. The bathroom does not have a power point. The closet has no drawers or sufficient storage and we lived out of luggage all week. The staff were generally nice but were extremely nice to "VIP" guests and we were told to move away from a lift we were getting into for a "VIP" guest. The way that the staff member approached us was tiltering on rude. There is a coffee station in room with coffee and tea but no milk. The last thing was that we were given a room when we checked for a couple that the beds were singles and the room was not the upgraded room that Booking.com gave us. But we were accommodated quickly.

Fabulous 5 star hotel, 120 m from Havelock MRT. Modern refurbished rooms, plumbed-in filtered water supply in room, geared towards ecological sustainability. Very clean. Lovely staff. Efficient computerised systems. Breakfast buffet was great.

The rooms looked much bigger in the on-line advertising, but 26m² was really very adequate for 2 people. The pool is smaller than it seemed in the pictures. 20m long 1.2-1.5m deep, it was adequate for a swim. Gym is well resourced. Clinton is very friendly. Bed length was shorter in twin room. Mattress was firm but quite comfortable. (I'm 181 cm) so ask for a king bed. These quibles are minor. The hotel is really good.

Located by the river is a fantastic place Great view on the city and Marina sands in the background. Quiet location with a choice of place to eat close by. Chinatown easy to reach. Great breakfast buffet with Indian, Chinese and western choice. The service Team is just great, attentive and Customer focus. It is a great surprise in such large hotel to have this level of good service and willingness. The concierge team is just fabulous Thank you

The cleaniness of the room need to be review The cupboard doors need to be clean !!! Full of stains The curtain in the bathroom is not our favorite and for hygiene purpose you should consider to set glass frame

Good location, beautiful views from my higher floor room. It was nice and clean.

The staff were a bit rude and unhelpful. One evening I ordered takeout and the receptionist told me to go OUTSIDE of the hotel to pick it up. For a 5 star hotel, the staff should really bring it to the room. Prior to being in this hotel, I was in Penang and Bali, again in 5 star establishments and I didn't even have to ask the hotel staff as they just brought me the delivery to the room and said to call them once I'm ready to pick up the trash so it doesn't smell in the room. No such offer was extended by the Copthorne, which I found very disappointing. Besides this, the breakfast was just ok, not great, not terrible.

Room was spacious, recently renovated and clean. Mattress was too soft, just fluffy topside that made my back hurt. The view of Singapore river and Marina Sands was also really good. Quite good gym, well equipped with new treadmills. Excellent location nearby Havelock MRT. Very good breakfast with plenty options, expresso coffee (Good coffee machines but coffee beans quality average/low) Swimming pool is small for a hotel this size, also not enough sunbeds. I had a 20% discount offer in food&beverages included in my reservation that the property refused to apply. This discount was advertised before paying the booking and was in black and white when I received confirmation after payment. I complained and Booking.com was in contact with the hotel but in the end they still refused. So this was a bad move from them and Booking.com

Breakfast we great, plenty of choice. Room overlooked river, lovely view.

We booked a taxi for 6.15am to airport. Taxi was waiting (it was a blue coloured cab) Cab smelt of cigarettes, driver exceeding the speed limit the whole way - at least 30km over limit. He shoved the machine at us for paying by card from front seat and we could not reach it properly. We eventually managed to get it to work. He found a car spot at terminal 3 which was extremely busy and shoved our cases out of the boot very roughly and drove off as fast as he could. I would not recommend that your hotel use that taxi company. Every other time we ordered a cab through you it was a much better experience.

Our room was very clean and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable. The A/C was good and easy to operate. The gym was very good and the pool was great. We had great river views.

Although I could step into the bathtub to use the shower, I know friends who would not be able to manage this. The food and wine at the hotel was very expensive. When we checked into the hotel we were not told that breakfast was included, so we went out each day at some expense to buy breakfast. This was addressed as we were leaving and the manager arranged for a take-away breastfast for our very early departure and free transport to the airport. This was very good. When we went to settle our bill we were given a bill for the three nights. I had already paid this through Booking.com and eventually was able to find it on my phone to prove the payment. This was a bit stressful and unnecessary. All in all the hotel experience was fine.

The location was excellent and I think more suitable outdoor seating over looking the river for hotel guests would be a bonus. Breakfast was excellent thanks with a fantastic selection of fresh fruits always available. Ravi, on the Concierge Desk was outstandingly helpful to me thank you. The room switch system for 'ready to service" or 'Do not Disturb' was so easy and obvious to use. I LOVED the drinking water tap in my room - great touch.

Absolutely not enough guest seating in the lobby - only 4 chairs was rather hopeless. The pool area is very pleasant but not attended well at all - there was no signage explaining how to get service. A parasol completely blew over in the strong wind but no one attended to retrieve it which was rather dangerous.

Polite, friendly, professional staff through-out the hotel. Check-in at the front desk was easier done in person as opposed to the online link which wouldn't load correctly. Good location along the river and across from the mrt station. Endless filtered drinking water available in the room. Good water pressure from the shower. Breakfast pretty good albeit semi-international (bit limited compared to others) but the chef at the egg station was really efficient.

Inundated with emails to upgrade, check-in prior to arrival etc but enquiries via booking.com went unanswered. Bed too short and not particularly wide either. Checkout at 11am too early and check-in at 3pm too late. Layout of breakfast not conducive, ie cooked eggs one side of the restaurant but bread, toast, waffles etc located at the far side of the room, which meant having to navigate past all the hungry guests congregated in the middle of the room. Tables were too close together, practically sitting on top of one another having breakfast. Curtains in the room configured with the sheer on the outside and heavy on the inside which was very odd. Swimming pool is tiny, really a paddling pool.

waterfront king rooms were superb. (level 28) huge with separate shower and bath, chaise lounge and desk and great views over river and the city with glimpses of the harbour. excellent friendly concierge and free shuttle 11am and 3pm to chinatown and marina bay sands. (book a spot as only 10 seats available). buffet breakfast excellent selection (esp crispy bacon)

AI controls could be hit or miss but room easily controlled from the LED screen box by bed. casting from phone to screen also bit fiddly. but minor issues.
