Room was spacious, recently renovated and clean. Mattress was too soft, just fluffy topside that made my back hurt. The view of Singapore river and Marina Sands was also really good. Quite good gym, well equipped with new treadmills. Excellent location nearby Havelock MRT. Very good breakfast with plenty options, expresso coffee (Good coffee machines but coffee beans quality average/low) Swimming pool is small for a hotel this size, also not enough sunbeds. I had a 20% discount offer in food&beverages included in my reservation that the property refused to apply. This discount was advertised before paying the booking and was in black and white when I received confirmation after payment. I complained and Booking.com was in contact with the hotel but in the end they still refused. So this was a bad move from them and Booking.com

Our room was very clean and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable. The A/C was good and easy to operate. The gym was very good and the pool was great. We had great river views.

Although I could step into the bathtub to use the shower, I know friends who would not be able to manage this. The food and wine at the hotel was very expensive. When we checked into the hotel we were not told that breakfast was included, so we went out each day at some expense to buy breakfast. This was addressed as we were leaving and the manager arranged for a take-away breastfast for our very early departure and free transport to the airport. This was very good. When we went to settle our bill we were given a bill for the three nights. I had already paid this through Booking.com and eventually was able to find it on my phone to prove the payment. This was a bit stressful and unnecessary. All in all the hotel experience was fine.

The location was excellent and I think more suitable outdoor seating over looking the river for hotel guests would be a bonus. Breakfast was excellent thanks with a fantastic selection of fresh fruits always available. Ravi, on the Concierge Desk was outstandingly helpful to me thank you. The room switch system for 'ready to service" or 'Do not Disturb' was so easy and obvious to use. I LOVED the drinking water tap in my room - great touch.

Absolutely not enough guest seating in the lobby - only 4 chairs was rather hopeless. The pool area is very pleasant but not attended well at all - there was no signage explaining how to get service. A parasol completely blew over in the strong wind but no one attended to retrieve it which was rather dangerous.

Polite, friendly, professional staff through-out the hotel. Check-in at the front desk was easier done in person as opposed to the online link which wouldn't load correctly. Good location along the river and across from the mrt station. Endless filtered drinking water available in the room. Good water pressure from the shower. Breakfast pretty good albeit semi-international (bit limited compared to others) but the chef at the egg station was really efficient.

Inundated with emails to upgrade, check-in prior to arrival etc but enquiries via booking.com went unanswered. Bed too short and not particularly wide either. Checkout at 11am too early and check-in at 3pm too late. Layout of breakfast not conducive, ie cooked eggs one side of the restaurant but bread, toast, waffles etc located at the far side of the room, which meant having to navigate past all the hungry guests congregated in the middle of the room. Tables were too close together, practically sitting on top of one another having breakfast. Curtains in the room configured with the sheer on the outside and heavy on the inside which was very odd. Swimming pool is tiny, really a paddling pool.

Everything in this hotel was excellent. The breakfast was superb and a huge assortment of foods. The location was much more than we expected with quiet shady walks around the hotel and the river. Lots of restaurants and cafes to choose from and the MRT 4 mins walk away and at a cost of 10c the train went directly to Marina Bay and the Gardens by the Bay. It was so easy. Dinner and drinks at the hotel were expensive with a glass of wine costing around $25. The buffet dinner was excellent and probably one of the best we have had, but we only did once at a cost of around $250 for two.

Loved how big, nice and clean the room was. The size of the room big and spacious perfect for the 3 of us. I personally enjoyed the scenic view of the waterfront I had from my room. The bed was so comfortable hence I had a good night sleep. There are many lovely restaurants located around the corner. Finally the hotel was just a 5 mins walk to Havelock MRT station which makes it extremely convenient for me to move around Singapore. Overall no complaints, will definitely come back to stay here again and recommend the hotel to all my family and friends.

Pleasant atmosphere. Good location. On the Singapore River bank and within easy walking distance over the foot bridge to Robertson Quay and many eating places. Subway transport was across the road and only several stops away from Gardens by the Bay and China Town. The Concierge Staff and all the Dining Staff were very pleasant, kind and helpful and we were treated with respect by them.

The check in staff could have been more welcoming and more helpful, they were abrupt and talked down to us. I think they expect guests to use online check-in instead of face-to-face check-in. Concierge and Breakfast and Dining Staff were very friendly, kind and very helpful and made up for the shorfall of the check in staff.

hotel room , location , breakfast all were good and we have stayed in this hotel 6 times . Metro station is very close and the beauty of this hotel is the close approach to clark Quay which is my favorite place

we complained every day about noise from the AC and it disturbed our sleep for all 4 days and every time the house keeping said technician is coming but never came and that was the worst part . Also the hotel is very miser with tea bags and we dont drink coffee and we only wanted English breakfast 2 packets twice a day and every time they will bring only 2 packets . Unheard of from any other hotel

We really liked the location by the river. The food at lobby lounge and samsara was fantastic. The hotel entrance staff were very supportive. We will always remember the great support and hospitality provided by Mr.Anil.

It would be nice if a few front desk staff smile and greet a bit more! I was very sick and needed a chair to sit at the lobby. Couldn't find any. All the 4/5 star hotels across the world have chairs at the lobby. Travelers are tired after flights and often have to wait during check in and out. But there are hardly 3/4 chairs!!!!

I honestly don't know why this hotel has such a low rating. I stay all over Asia in some excellent hotels and the Grand Copthorne never disappoints. I have stayed in this hotel every year (except during covid) when i come for a trade show. The location is great, right on Robertson Quay in walking distance to lots of bars, restaurants and Cafe's. You are basically a 10-15 min Grab away from anywhere you want to be. The gym is excellent, the newly refurbished rooms are excellent, the staff are very friendly. The facilities are great overall - Padel tennis courts, a dedicated whisky bar etc.

If there is one thing that could be improved it would just be making sure that food is being refilled quicker at the breakfast buffet - but there is a great selection. Coffee could be improved too instead of just from machines (but it's not bad!)
