Extremely friendly staff, very helpful. Clean and comfortable stay. MRT is few mins walk from the property. There is a supermarket and cafe just under the property. Sophia was extremely friendly and helpful.

If Breakfast was included that would have been great. Extra Garbage bags could be provided in the room so it’s convenient to change.

Comfortable bed, easy access, good local facilities. Room spacious and well appointed.

No iron or ironing board. Only issue (clothes all crumpled in suitcase). I wasn’t sure where the water fountain was for drinking water. Not a massive issue as I used bought water for 4 days anyway but for longer stay some direction would have been useful. This isn’t obvious to overseas travellers. Also would have like to know how to access local Hawkers market for foods- I especially couldn’t find Kaya toast nearby!. I know about them but for overseas travellers it’s not obvious how to access or find them and they are so iconic of life in Singapore.

I stayed at Alma House for 34 nights during a trip to Singapore in July/Aug of 2025. I wanted something larger than a standard, downtown hotel room and was willing to sacrifice the traditional hotel amenities. I was also willing to sacrifice location if it meant I could save some money. The Alma House was just what I was looking for. I would best characterize the Alma House as "serviced apartments". I had a studio (Room 325) with Wi-Fi, bed, couch, cooktop, microwave, kitchen sink, fridge, and a washing machine/dyer combo. There is a grocery store called CS Fresh on the lower level. I shopped there almost daily for my meals. Alma House is approximately 10 minutes (1/2 mile) from the Fort Canning MRT station and approximately 20 minutes (1 mile) from the Dhoby Ghaut MRT station. These two stations provide access to four different MRT lines. You get used to the walk after a while. Robertson Quay and the Singapore River were also short walks away. I bought some laundry detergent and fabric softener and was able to do laundry in my room. There was no cable TV, but the TV in the room had access to Netflix and YouTube. The twice weekly room cleaning was sufficient. The A/C worked well. I had a quiet room on the back side rather than one which faced the noisy courtyard. After a month-long stay, I was satisfied with Alma House and would recommend it to fellow travelers. If you are willing to pay more, I thought the Concorde Hotel on Orchard Road would be a great option. I thought its location was perfect. Thanks for listening.

I have no complaints about my stay at the Alma House. It met my expectations. Everything comes with a cost. You could stay at a full-service hotel close to the action with a breakfast buffet, daily room cleaning, cable TV, pool and gym. Understand, you will have to pay more for those amenities.

I was first attracted by the design of their lobby and rooms I saw online, and the real property looks just like those pictures! What's better is their shuttle bus picks up/drops off their guests every 30 minutes, which is really convenient! AND, the accommodation is located inside a dainty little shopping mall. Overall, you don't have to worry about eating in that place. Besides, there is a washing machine in your room; you don't have to go back and forth, and there's no need to line up in the laundry room.

I could still find a few chocolate crumbs from the last guests on the carpet and the area under the sofa. Besides, the shuttle bus starts working at 11 am. For people who plan to explore the city in the morning, they have to walk for a distance to get to the nearest MRT station. But overall, me and my family still like Alma House very much! We are very happy we chose to stay there.

We were travelling with our 18 months old so we needed facilities to cook and wash our clothes. Alma house was neat and modern and suited our needs. It had a shuttle service to the nearest MRT station for the Red, brown and blue line which was a bonus as walking in the heat of summer of Singapore was soul destroying. We also loved that it was a stone throw from Robertson Quay with lovely eatery all around. We loved the shower and we loved the Omno products in the bathroom. The scent was amazing!

We read reviews before we arrived about the house keeping but we are pretty self sufficient travellers and didn’t have high expectations. Room service twice a week on a Monday and Thursday or Tuesday and Friday. They literally just swept the floor. Didn’t bother to refresh the apartment which most apart-hotels or service apartments do. We had to ask for toilet paper from reception… I think there could be more attention to detail and if Alma house can nail that they would be a 10/10 stay. E.g. they could look into factoring in a small cleaning set with a small sponge and table cloth since it is self-catering studio. One night the noise level was high past 1 am. We whatsapped the reception and they addressed it immediately with the host and the noise immediately died down.

I really enjoyed the location. It wasn’t, for me, too far from the central areas of Singapore. There are also nice restaurants and bars in the same complex, but no noises bothered during the night. The apartment has many amenities, like a washing machine and an electric cooker. I found the mattress very comfortable too. It wasn’t too bright, but it worked for me. I want to mention how exceptional the staff was. They were quick to communicate, very friendly and helpful. Thanks a lot for the hospitality.

My sweaty clothes weren’t drying quickly (it may have taken more than two days to dry from the Singaporean sweat. I don’t know if the apartment could have had a better air flow, or it’s just a thing common in Singapore.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Alma House. Located within the New Bahru precinct, the studio room was modern, clean and well equipped. It was very comfortable and, despite being in a busy area (especially on weekends), was quiet. There's a fantastic selection of cafes and restaurants nearby, as well as a supermarket if you want to use the kitchenette. The reception space is a great area to work from as well. Alma House is incredibly good value for money and I will certainly stay there again in the future.

The hotel is located within a popular lifestyle precinct called New Bahru. This means there's great amenities (literally) on your doorstep, but it is worth noting it can be very busy on weekends. It was a little challenging maneuvering luggage through the crowds to the lifts (located at a narrow area), but manageable once reaching the Alma House reception area.

The hotel is located in a really nice area, with lots of shops and restaurants around. The rooms are modern, clean and spacious. Staff are very friendly and helpful, you can reach them easily by whatsapp.

This is more of a serviced apartments-style hotel rather than a regular hotel. Consequently, it doesn't have its own restaurant, gym or swimming pool for example. However, the hotel does offer some discounts for businesses at New Bahru. The main thing I didn't like was that the hotel is quite far from public transport. It takes at least 15-20 minutes to reach the nearest bus or MRT station, which is too far in the heat of Singapore.

Alma House’s team is truly the kindest! Over our 2 weeks of stay, they have been incredibly helpful and available whenever we needed support. The property is super central, with buses and MRT stations within easy walking distances. Our room was clean and spacious, and so were all common spaces!

New Bahru is a new hip neighborhood and it gets really really crowded over the weekend. For us it was totally fine as we were out all day but if you’re planning to stay around, that’s something to keep in mind!

Great location, walking distance to metro and wide range of restaurants right in front of the hotel. We were allocated a room above the supermarket and unfortunately the noise from the AC units below was heavily disturbing our sleep. Once reported this to the reception the assistant manager provided us with an upgrade to studio apartment totally complimentary which was on the other side of the building. Fantastic customer service! Would be staying there again once visiting the city.
