Being in the old town, it’s very convenient for the sites in that area. It’s also very handy for 3 metro lines as well as buses and trams. The palace of the parliament is also easily walkable. The room was large and the staff were very helpful and friendly. My room had an internal window but was still light enough. The sound insulation was also very good.

The Old Town is very lively on a Saturday night. Even with the good sound insulation I could hear some music until the small hours. I usually take earplugs with me but forgot so was occasionally disturbed as I’m a light sleeper. The remaining 3 nights were a lot quieter and I slept fine.

We were upgraded (I assume because we arrived at midnight) from Mansion Deluxe to Premium Mansion Deluxe - ZEN room. As far as I understand, the main difference is the room size (35 m2 instead of 25 m2) and the second floor instead of the third. All rooms are on the second or third floor (see attached map). There is no elevator in the hotel, but that was not a problem for us. The hotel is very beautiful inside and all the rooms are unique. The breakfast was good and sufficient, the Wi-Fi was great, the location was excellent and the room was perfect.

We knew this so this is just a reminder for other people: the hotel is located in a pedestrian area so it is about 100 meters from the taxi/bus stop to the hotel (for us it was not a problem). The minibar was too small and it was filled with different kinds of bottles and snacks, we had to remove some of them to make room for the food we bought from the 24-hour Carrefour (located 500 meters from the hotel) The TV size (32 inches) was too small to watch it from the bed, but we did not have time to use it (except for the Champions League matches), most of the time we spent outside the hotel enjoying Bucharest.

Very good location, just at the edge of old town. Very easy and near access to metro and fountains of Bucharest. Walking distance to Palace of Parliament. Lovely big room, “French Room” at the front of hotel, with a balcony where I could out and watch the world go by on the street below. Room had a bath. Ample breakfast with very good selection of bread, fruit, yogurt, fruit juices, cold meats, cheese. Small hot buffet food. Initially thought staff were reserved but that is just their way. Staff when asked questions or queries were very helpful and obliging. Bianca was extremely kind and giving of her time when I encountered difficulties with booking train transport.

Breakfast eggs not cooked to order. But this seems to be the norm for all accommodations/hotels I stayed in during my two weeks in Romania.

The location is great - right in the heart of old town. The rooms are spacious and very well decorated. The beds are comfortable and breakfast had many options.

I had some issues with the bath/shower during my stay. As mentioned in some other reviews, the room I was staying in had a handheld shower without a mount which was a little annoying. It seems that a mounted shower is available depending on room selection though. For me, the bigger issue was the water temperature. Even after letting the hot water tap run for ~20 minutes it never got hot, just lukewarm/tepid, so showers were pretty goosebumpy. The receptionist at the front desk was very kind when I asked if there was anything that could be done, but it remained the same temperature for the rest of the stay.

The location in the heart of the old city but the nightlife of the city wasn't too much of a bother. The rooms were very comfortable. The breakfast was good. The staff is very attentive and friendly. There were always complimentary new water bottles every day. We were very surprised and grateful to receive a gift from the hotel for my daughter's birthday. My daughter would also like to thank you :-).

We knew there is no lift, however we would prefer if there was one.

I liked everything except for mentioned in the below section-What didn't like? The room, decoration of the room and the lobby, cleanliness, staff and breakfast- all was good. Pefect location in the city center. Breakfast was very tasty, they even have fresh orange juice, and make good espresso based drinks for you upon request. Very kind and helpful staff

- Cigarette smoke all over hotel coming from terrace of the attached restaurant. When the restaurant downstairs is operationg cigarette smoke from terrace is coming to all coridors and floors ain hotel and of course inside the rooms. Our room on Friday night was full of cigarette smoke, I was not able to sleep as I have allergy for it. It was the biggest disappointment during our stay - No elevator

We stayed in the Eclectic room which was at the front of the hotel on the 2nd floor. It was spacious and well equipped with tea/coffee making facilities, mini bar, robes and slippers. It was spotlessly clean. The bathroom was spacious with lovely fluffy towels, toiletries and a walk in shower with great water pressure. Very friendly and helpful staff on reception who provided us with a glass of Prosecco at check in. Great restaurant attached the hotel which served an excellent breakfast with great choice and eggs to order. Really good coffee.

We did hear some noise from a nearby club late into the night on one occasion, and this could be a problem in the warmer weather if you want to open a window, however the the air con was excellent so not necessarily an issue. We would have preferred a firmer bed and pillows.

The position of the hotel is fantastic: in the very heart of Bucharest! In the pedestrian zone. Plenty of restaurants and bars nearby, public trasnsport avaiable at very short distance, many monuments reacheable on foot in few minutes walk. On top of that, the hotel is nicely decorated and very clean, our room was huge with a very large bed. The bathroom was also very large and confortable and with brand new installations. The breakfast is served in a nice dining room and it is acceptably varied (though maybe one can expect a little more in a 4-stars hotel). The price/quality ratio is reasonable considering the position in the heart of a capital city.

The street in front of the hotel is noisy during the night due to people shouting and laughing even until very late (early morning). The windows are not 100% noise-proof: some noise still comes into the room. So I suggest that you ask for a room on the backside if you are sensible to the noise. For us, it was not a big problem becuase we could sleep anyway. Also, we had an inconvenience the first night, because the room was very cold and the bathroom even more cold. The next morning we complained at the reception desk and the staff solved the problem: the rest of our stay was very confortable.

The Mansion is a really lovely hotel in a great location. The staff at check-in were fabulous. Our room was really big and very comfortable. Breakfast was good.

What I didn't like about the hotel would perhaps be something that others might love. The first is the hotel cat. I have a phobia of cats, so I found the presence of the cat in and around reception and the breakfast area very stressful. The room had a lovely large bathtub but no separate shower. To have a shower, you had to use the handheld shower head. I have a preference for a shower over a bath.

The hotel, and the staff were lovely. We were given Prosecco on arrival which was a lovely surprise as we were not expecting this. The room was lovely! We stayed in Britannia and found the room to be clean and well maintained. They also have a lovely cat called Tom in reception!

You can hear the noise from the old town in the hotel. This wasn’t too bad for us as we had an interior window, but I imagine if you were facing out onto the street this could be more of a problem.
