We were a family of 12 from 3 - 70 years old travelling to celebrate some milestones together. The resort exceeded what we were hoping for. The staff were incredibly welcoming and polite, the bure rooms were traditionally stylish and very comfortable, the grounds were well maintained and there was a good sense of privacy. The main beach was stunning and there were plenty of included water activity options for all to enjoy, as well as paid extras. The pool area was calm and relaxing, and there was a separate children's pool area for families. Our grandchildren thoroughly enjoyed the kid's club activities which included cultural activities. There were a number of eating and bar options for variety and convenience. Overall we could not have been happier with our choice to stay and will gladly return.

Very beautiful place and very safe for families to enjoy. They have great kids club daily. Nanny services available if you need for a very reasonable price per hour. The island staff are excellent and will do whatever you need with a genuine smile. Loved the activities with the kids to learn local dance and words. Staff do a wonderful job with the kids

The food is good, daily breakfast and dinner buffets. Pizza restaurant on a deck which is popular. Small plates available at the family pool for lunch. only one made to order night dinner place for adults.

Its a beautiful spot. Probably a little pricey if you travel during school holidays. The room was great.

Not a big fan of the meal plan. I would say that food could be improved. Snorkelling trip was rather underwhelming. Just snorkel off the beach. Just as good. Billing of drinks/ food etc is a mess.

We had a fantastic experience at Castaway Island, Fiji. The location was great with beautiful beaches and coral reef on your doorstep. The staff were so friendly and made you feel like you were home. There were plenty of activities to explore the island and surroundings, both included watersports and pay-for experiences to keep all ages and interests happy.

If I was to pick some small areas for improvement, I would say the facilities are feeling a little dated but this did not at all detract from the beauty of the place. I understand that staged upgrades are in progress. Also, the small fridge in the Bure did not keep things cold but there was ice available.

The overall experience was superb and the Castaway staff went over and beyond to make us happy! All of the staff were very welcoming, warm, kind and very intentional in their interactions, The kids club was exceptional. we loved the beach, snorkeling ad ocean view accommodation.

Unfortunately, our family were a bit sick during our stay, so didn't have big appetites for the buffet hence were only eating the La Carte food. We would have appreciated more lighter, salad, vegetable options, and more breakfast options (eggs benedict, omeletes). No a major, but our king bed in room 12 slanted down on the left side so felt a little like I was going to roll off.

The place is perfect The rooms are really well laid out and very comfortable - great for two adults and two kids. It’s never too busy as it’s a nice small resort and never seemed to get crowded. Snorkelling is fantastic and so close the “house reef” is excellent and just gets better and better the more “ to the left “ north? you go - past monkey rock. Saw the biggest clam I have ever seen - about 80cm. Beautiful coral free sandy beaches facing two directions, SUPs , kayaks and a hobiecat we used half a dozen times. Lots to do Food was very good - massive choice at buffet and a station to cook you an omelette or eggs etc. the guy running the egg station ( Nikhail) was very warm and friendly and really went out of his way for me and my family. A real good guy that made our time here just that bit more special. Messa at the dive centre sorted us all out and organised some amazing trips. The highlight was with captain Si when he took us to the sand spit island. This was the among the best snorkelling we have done - saw 4 reef sharks and 3 turtles as well as a few Spanish mackerel , GTs , emperor angels , massive parrots amongst the usual suspects …! We had a brilliant time and really were sad to leave. I stuffed up the transfer on the ferry and we had to return to the island …. But the head of the boat staff …. Can’t remember his name …. Sorted us in minutes and water taxied us to our next resort within 5 minutes. Beautiful people …. Beautiful place. I can’t wait to return!

Beautiful location and wonderful accommodation. Staff were all wonderful and our son adored the kids club. We enjoyed scuba diving and snorkelling.

Food was a little on the expensive side. My son and husband experienced some sickness while there.

Great 'family holiday' location from mainland and easy to get to by a super-fast South Sea Ferry. Pretty much everything was wonderful including the weather! The South side does not really have a lot of sun in July or beach to sit on and is a lot breezier but heaps quieter than the North!

Sadly, with our back and hip problems we found our bed was a bit uncomfortable, could have done with a new plump topper. Certain dishes could be improved on the menus, using more 'fresh' local fish and produce.

The location was fantastic. Really quite incredible to have the beach and reef and everything so accessible. The staff were the key though - they made us feel so welcome. Like we were family. The food options were wonderful - Restaurant 1808 was fantastic! The kids club was fabulous - our children had an amazing time..

The shower pressure was pretty poor. It’s a tiny thing to comment on though given how wonderful everything else was!
