This was my 3rd stay at Sheraton, Great hotel for families. Close to airport. Food at cafe and buffet restaurant is good. facilities are good. one of the better hotels on Denarau. Beach and pool next to each other. Only 2 restaurants at this hotel, but you can walk along the beach to next hotels with more restaurant options. Rooms and bathrooms are good, clean and spacious.

If you are after white sand beach, this is not the place. Beach on denarau is not the best looking, I often get bitten and itchy bites when I swim at denarau beach - but you can go for a half hour boat ride to many of the white sand islands for day visits. I would not waste time and money on Tatavu restaurant at Sheraton, at least for dinner. It was expensive, not good service, my expensive lamb rack was totally tasteless and uncooked. They used to have a bar beside the pool and restaurant with open beds and live music every night, they have removed this room and no live music anymore, Shame!

We recently spent 11 days at the Sheraton Fiji Resort in Denarau as a family of four—my wife, our 8-year-old and 5-year-old daughters, and myself. Despite the weather not being on our side (it rained for nearly 7 days), the experience was nothing short of spectacular, thanks to the incredible efforts of the resort’s management and staff. During the rainy days, the resort went above and beyond to keep guests entertained. A newly opened kids’ room became a highlight for our daughters, featuring table tennis, mini-golf, board games, and delightful fairy floss and popcorn stations. This space turned into a hub where children could make friends, lifting their spirits and creating happy memories. Parents bonded too, fostering a warm sense of community. The lobby was always buzzing with activities, from traditional Fijian dances where guests were invited to join, to basket weaving workshops, yoga classes, kava tasting, and more. For families, a dedicated room played kids’ movies with cozy blankets provided, making it a perfect spot for relaxation and bonding. Every afternoon at 3 PM, the resort hosted workshops for kids, ranging from pizza and smoothie making to gingerbread and chocolate decorating. These sessions were a huge hit with our daughters. On a few occasions at 5 PM, we enjoyed complimentary cocktails and snacks, including delicious prawn and chicken skewers, spring rolls, and other tasty finger foods. The personal touches truly set this experience apart. On one occasion, we received a lovely bottle of champagne and a thoughtful letter from the hotel director—a gesture that felt incredibly special. On our last day, after checking out and waiting for our transfer, a staff member offered us complimentary coffee and ice cream, a simple yet heartwarming act of hospitality. The staff at Sheraton Fiji were phenomenal—genuinely happy, friendly, and always going the extra mile. Their joy was contagious, and their personal touches made our stay unforgettable.

Location and breakfast

The price is too high.

Sheraton Fiji is the best out of all the Denarau resorts. The breakfast buffet was the best one that I have ever had and I have travelled a lot. The room was nicely decorated and the pool was beautiful.

The beds were a little uncomfortable as they tended to make you roll to the edges. The adult pool was too shallow (1.2m max). The resort does not have enough restaurants and they were too expensive, so we were eating at other resorts.

Hotel location and staff

We booked two rooms trusting booking.com. 1 room for a couple the other triple room for our sister and two daughters. triple room only had one double bed. Why charge for 3 adults and have 1 double bed only. We were really disappointed. Called booking.vom and your staff was really rude. No help.

Great hotel in great location Pool is great very kids friendly People that were at the hotel are the best. Especially Mereani (hostess) at Island six one nine. Great personality, very warm and friendly. My daughter loved seeing her everyday.

Restaurant Tatavu has a burning smell coming out of the kitchen. At first he thought there were fires close by. I also thought my husband is imagining it but on day 5 and 6 of our stay we worked it out. Its a smoke type smell coming from kitchen. We were staying in room 1409 and and it was quite noticeable on our walks back to the room each night. Also i was told by our friends who have visited fiji before that we could use all pools of hotels in denarau island. That wasnt the case. We got kicked out of raddison pool ;))))))))

We found it quiet, well designed and a stunning environment overall. Beautiful landscaping and lovely weather. Even though it was the busy period it felt uncrowded. Pool area is excellent and beauty fully maintained. Rooms are lovely. Lots of nice outdoor spaces that allow quiet time. Most staff were very friendly, with customary Fijian style. The buggy drivers and restaurant staff were very nice.

The soft outdoor furnishings (cabanas etc) are stained and dirty which does not do the property justice also the soft furnishings in restaurants are also stained inc with bird droppings. They should be cleaned including removal of bird droppings between uses. A few (not most) staff were not as friendly as we have been used to in Fiji at other resorts. They came across as a little more pressured or impersonal. Welcome and Farewell reception staff were not as friendly as we’ve been used to.

Pictures don't do this place justice. The holiday paradise is felt in person, and staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and well looked after. Our room was upgrade to an ocean view twin double and it had a modern sleek feel to it. Our parents and siblings stayed in the villas and the cleaning staff, special mention to Vasaili (I think that's her name) did an immaculate job. Returning to the room after she cleaned felt like checking in again every single time. Phenomenal work. And with the villa being so far away, we especially appreciated the services of Sa'Ve. He was our favourites, so friendly and always taking us when he could on his golf cart as my dad's leg was injured. We enjoyed buffet breakfast daily and it never missed a beat. Everything was taken care of by the staff, special mention to Mereani, Ashley (Asaeli) from 619 and Alepati from Tatavu bar and grill who went above and beyond for us! They kept us coming back through out the week as we enjoyed their genuine connection with us and our children. We were there for a week and got to try 619 buffet dinnner on a Monday, so iconic with the ota Ika station I say it's a must try if you ever stay on Denarau island! The Tatavu bar and grill hosted my daughter's birthday. They were amazing and I was able to order a cake to be had beforehand, was the best mud cake I've had in a while and I didn't even have to pay for the cake til the final bill. Special shout out to Meme (the younger Meme) for being so patient with us and organising that cake. The facilities are honestly the best on the island. Water sports, Virtual reality gaming centre, morning water aerobics. So many different corners of the resort to just sit and have a quiet moment (hammocks and day beds / cabanas scattered about). 5 beautiful pools to enjoy, resort activities free to join in on and the kids club is part of your stay too. The Nanny's there are so lovely too.

Didn't like the pineapple juice at 619, tastes watered down. And also didn't like how there aren't any elevators to get to the second floor. Lastly, room service food wasn't as amazing as the restaurant food but that's expected because it is cheaper. And I didn't enjoy the ladies at the market stall upselling me and ripping me off, charging me x5 the price of what the resort store would sell for a shell necklace.

I don't usually give 10's, but purely for the staff this place deserves one. From the minute we arrived and were drummed in, to the farewell song we received at our last breakfast, every single person working at this resort made us feel so welcome and looked after. We had breakfast and dinner package, so much choice for both and the food was really lovely. We bought lunch at the poolside restaurant most days too, working our way through the plant based menu, everything was delicious. Cocktails lovely. Pools were all nice, we liked that you could use the ones at the Sheraton villas resort next door too. And the adults only one near the gym. Kids club was great, my daughter made an awesome tie dye t shirt with them, and loved dressing like a warrior for the evening fire show. Daily activities were lovely, we did bookmark making and basket weaving during our stay, but loads more on offer. Pool aerobics every morning was really nicely done, had a good atmosphere. Resort is in a great location for doing excursions too. Everything was really clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend.

Breakfast was amazing, the staff were lovely and welcoming. Our rooms were cleaned everyday with handwritten notes personalised to us! Great pool facilities including an adult only pool and we loved every minute! The location is great close to other resorts and easy access to the port. We would definitely go back next time and stay there.
