Fabulous all round! A beautiful room with high ceiling, tiled floor and lovely balcony. Super clean, complimentary water each day and room cleaning if you want it. Breakfast each morning had a wonderful homemade feel, with different treats from the kitchen each day alongside eggs, cereal and fruit options. Sharon and Roy are really wonderful hosts, who recommended places for new contact lenses, every restaurant was delicious and their local knowledge is amazing. The location is quiet, and walking distance from the bus station and also to the lovely promenade for a night stroll. Highly recommended.

Location was excellent for exploring the capital of Goa, easy walking distance through historic Fontainas part of town, the rest of Panjim and to bus station. Very short walk to a range of restaurants. The room was lovely and definitely one of the cleanest rooms we stayed in while in India. The owners were very friendly and helpful and provided advice on places to visit and how to get around. The breakfast provided was good and a good mix of local dishes and your standard eggs etc. Definitely felt safe in this neighbourhood.

The mattress was probably the hardest we had in all of our stay in India which was a shame as the rest of the accomodation was excellent.

My stay at Hospedaria Abrigo de Botelho was truly unforgettable! This charming hotel is both centrally located and incredibly peaceful, offering spotless rooms, a serene atmosphere, and a delightful breakfast in the inner garden. But what truly made my experience special was the exceptional hospitality of the owners, Mr. Roy and his wife. They took care of every detail with such warmth and kindness that I felt completely at home. Leaving was bittersweet, and their thoughtful gesture of walking me to my taxi speaks volumes about their genuine care for their guests. If you’re looking for a comfortable, welcoming, and charming stay in Goa, this is the perfect choice!

The room was spacious, clean and and had everything I'd need, including a mini-fridge. The bed was big and very comfortable. It was lovely to have a balcony to sit out on in the evening. The shower was great. The location is perfect - near to different parts of the town that you'd want to visit, but tucked away and quiet. And as a woman travelling alone, it felt very safe to be walking back in the evening. Roy and Sharon were very welcoming and very helpful, giving me great tips for walks and restaurants, and arranging my taxi to the airport when I left. If I ever come back to Panjim, I will most definitely stay here again.

I really loved how homely the entire stay was and the owners are amazingly friendly and hospital people! It felt like meeting friends and them telling you where you can go and what you can do! Whenever we had queries, we could just ring them up and they clarified the issue or helped us follow it up. I rate 10/10 just for Roy and Sharon. Breakfast = Simple Goan breakfast with a vareity of egg options, filling and delicious. Mineral Water = Have to say that being provided with unlimited mineral water bottles at all times of the day and night is wonderful!

1. Carry your license as you will need to drive to really enjoy the location especially nearby 2. Street dogs are a problem across the country and here too

I liked everything about this place. In fact, it was by far the best place we stayed in on our 2.5 week stay in Goa. The hospedaria is located in a side street of the Fontainhas Latin Quarter of Panaji, so very convenient for visiting the sights and restaurants etc nearby. Roy and Sharon are great hosts and have put a lot of care into all aspects of the property, e.g. furnishings and other little touches which make it feel very homely. The complementary breakfast was also by far the best we had on our travels across the country, with freshly cooked eggs to order, homemade breads and fruit. I was just sorry that we were moving on and could only stay one night!

The Hospedaria Abrigo is a beautifully maintained guest house in the Latin Quarters of Panaji. Roy and Sharon were the perfect hosts with recommendations for local restaurants, sight seeing and organising transport for our onward trip. Their staff were cordial and helpful. The home cooked breakfasts were lovely - a wide choice including an opportunity to try a variety of Goan dishes. The rooms are big and spacious, clean and comfortable.

Beautifully located at the historic Latin Quarter of Panjim called Fontainhas, this place is just the perfect pick for a comfortable stay. The rooms were clean, spacious, with an antique touch. Our lovely hosts, Roy and Sharon, were very accommodating. Roy helped us with a variety of local restaurant choices and sightseeing options. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience for our family of 9 members.

Roy and his wife (I missed her name) take really good care of all their guests. They gave us the best tips on where we could experience the best of what - seafood, local bars, restaurants. They, along with their super efficient and chill staff, have maintained the property really well. The rooms were clean, cosy and warm. Also the place is super close to everything and smack in the middle of Fontainhas. Would 10/10 visit again,

We stayed here for 3 days in Dec 2022. The room was in first floor and it had a balcony overlooking a popular bakery. A rocking chair was provided in the balcony. The room itself was spacious and there was a nook for dressing. The furniture were like period pieces. Overall had an ancestral home kind of feel. Modern necessities like mini fridge and ac were also present. What made the stay even pleasant was the hospitality of the owners Roy and Sharon. The sight seeing tips given by Roy were very helpful.

The property does not have private parking but there is plenty of parking space right in front of the property and in the lane leading up to it. In general, I felt Panjim is very tolerant to road side parking.
