It was 28oC for several days and the rooms were so hot. There is no ventilation in the rooms or exhaust fan in the bathroom to remove humidity. We asked the woman at reception for a fan (as website advertised they had) and she said there were no fans and for us to open a window. The next morning we spoke to the cleaning staff who were very friendly and helpful and they had lots of fans.

This is just the best place to stay in Dusseldorf, from the front door onwards it is just a good experience, a nice reception, great helpful and happy staff, a great room, lovely bed, good Wi-Fi, nice en-suite, not noisy, great location for the old town, lots of places to eat, local supermarkets, U Bahn access in several directions, great breakfast selection and a really pleasent team looking after you. It's just a nice well organised rewarding place to stay. On day one go to the tourist information office (5 mins walk), follow their excellent recomendations, buy Dusseldorf Card and enjoy yourself!

Excellent location for Old Town. Food markets restaurants and shopping nearby. Very close to Rhine promenade. Staff courteous. Thoughtful and nutritious breakfast. Well maintained and decorated.

. Rooms look much bigger and brighter in photos. Our room was dark,small and overlooked courtyard of which the only view was bins! I requested not to be located beside a lift...we were located right next to the lift. No bar and no communal guest area. No air-conditioning, but not unusual for German hotels.

Confidently located in the Alt Stadt area f Dusseldorf. The style of the building is in contrast to many of the nearer/modern hotel buildings in the city, giving the Orangerie a certain character

The Orangerie doesn’t appear to have a bar or cafe on site. Staff produce a wonderful breakfast each morning, then guests are encouraged to leave the premises for the day. That said, it’s not a deal-breaker as there is an abundance of cafes and bars in the vicinity of the Alt Stadt, and when on premises guests are very well catered for by friendly and welcoming staff.

We Spent three nights. Room was Very clean bathroom also. Location is great, few steps to promenade. It is an old building, but clean , With elevator. Wifi was Very good. Breakfast was excellent, with Various Options and tastefull coffee. Very Welcoming and helpful Stuffs. Recomended, surely Stay again next time.

Everything! The location is perfect for seeing Dusseldorf at its best, close to the river and old town but away from any night-time noise. The building is of historic value, and there are several pictures around showing the history. Breakfast was exceptional and of our 8 day trip around northern Europe, the best we had. There is a parking garage close, the bays are a little small however if you look around you will find several 1 car bays (important to some, not to all), the garage is 2 minutes walk from the hotel. The hotel staff couldn't have been more helpful and pleasant to talk to and the ladies at breakfast were extremely helpful and cheerful. Thank you all, we had a lovely time.

Fantastic stay. Great night’s sleep. Brilliant and friendly staff. Breakfast was included which was rare for this price, and it was exceptional. A chef cooked me scrambled eggs in situ in the restaurant. it really was excellent. The room was great - very quiet, very modern, comfortable. A non functioning lightbulb and not many plugs in my room, the only downside. It was an exceptional place for the cost. Excellent location near the river and restaurants.
