Nice old style wooden bungalow in very good condition. Great view from the bungalow IF you are in the front row. The Bungalows are covered/surrounded by trees, therefore it´s not too hot in the daytime. The area around is kept clean on almost daily basis and to me, the place felt very save, also because a very kind thai family stays around in the backround all the time and also takes care of all your needs.

Nothing to complain about the location or the equipment, BUT, the longtail boats are very loud and running almost all day.

Right in the beach behind another resort. You still get to see the water from your room. Very spacious room with lots of hanging space for clothes. Be prepared for no hot water and non-flushing toilets. We were made aware and had no issue with it as we were there in very hot weather. They provide you with a bucket you can fill with water and use to manually flush. There was no sealing under the front door so ants could come in too easily but it is an older built bungalow in the bush so you can't expect it to be as sealed as a hotel room. Just embrace the nature! The staff was extremely nice and helpful.

We were in one of the garden rooms and the view is stunning. This is quite basic accommodation but given the cost (especially for Koh Lipe) it is a great place to stay. It was really clean and had everything we needed, including a mosquito-net with no holes and a kettle. There is also free water refill. The staff were super welcoming and let us check in early. This place is totally worth the money compared to some of the more costly places on the island.

The only issue we had was the walk up the hill to the room. One of us has a dodgy knee and the uneven deep steps up and down the hill were very painful. If you have any mobility challenges or any injuries, a beach room might be a better option.

Altough it was a bit hard to find it for us, when we finally checked in (free earlier check-in) we fully enjoyed our stay. I recommend to pay for the sea view bungalow because it is the best what this accomodation offers. Imagine to buy some weed and relax on the terrace with amazing tropical view to blue lagoon. Dream. You will definitely get what you paid for. There is also offered free coffee in the morning.

The location was amazing with some of the best views I’ve had in Thailand from a hotel. Staff so helpful with ordering taxi’s and helping with luggage! Comfortable bed and mosquito net already fitted. There was a fan/kettle/towels/soap and glasses in the room. Room was very clean and tidy. Great for adventurous couples or a peaceful nights stars gazing! First class customer service from onsite staff. Thank you : )

OK so this is by no means a 5 star hotel but it’s not sold as such and is a reasonably priced option for the island and perfect for a night or two’s stay! Be aware there are many steps up to your room (the view is worth it!!) and it’s basic accommodation. The hotel is planning a modernisation project but this has been delayed due to covid as have many updates on the island….There is (as advertised) no air con and the bathrooms are traditional - I.E no hot showers and you flush with a bucket and water.

Daya hill is a very simple bungalow resort, the most amazing things is the view from the hill bungalows. If you like to stay in a quiet place this is the best resort of the island.. thank you See you next time Sofia and Alessia

If you want to have a digital detox, this is the place to go. Peaceful and relaxing. I had booked for 2 nights but made the mistake of putting in the incorrect date, Daya honoured my 2 night stay, that alone speaks to their character.. Basic. Clean and tidy but what a view. Probably best to leave the heavy suitcase as it is on a hillside and is a little bit of a trek up from thr beach.
