It way my first trip to Addis, where I discovered amazing people, always smiling to anyone. Lobelia hotel team was extremely kind and helpful. Room service and restaurant was excellent. The best part is that the hotel provides a tour guide; Mr. "Fish". What an amazing person, kind and very helpful. He make me discover the city : museum, history, gastronomie and a lot of places I did never expect. Thank you very much for every one I met in there, AMAZING!

The stuff was amazing the free breakfast with the fresh omelette ooh. I am all hot fresh food. Freshly juiced drinks. The hotel is not new but the house keeping ladies doing great job, on top of that the free van to the airport is very convenient and straight forward. I want to give special thanks the young girl on the reception who give me good information when I needed to go and visit ics

All people are not same but overall great people that is what counts thank you all.

Hotel Lobelia in Addis Ababa is the real place to start a travel in Ethiopia. The hotel staff is very lovely and provides you a very warm welcome. After a little rest, my travel mate and me started to think about our possibilities of doings for the coming 12 days. Then we just met Abay, a very experienced and friendly tour guide, and we had fixed our journey in minutes only. He proposed us a very reasonable tour around this beautiful country. Thanks to everyone of Lobelia and especially a big thank to our friends Abay and Mulu for the organization and as well their company in our incredible trip.

Great hotel! The service and the staff is wonderful. The airport shuttle worked without problems. The shower was amazing. We stayed for one night and came back three nights later for another layover in Addis. We could leave our luggage at the hotel for these days. On our first night we forgot some cash in the room and they returned it to us when we came back. Also we tried the room service for the first time in our life. Would go back to Lobelia anytime.

We had a lot of luggage and the room was too small to open all 4 suitcases at the same time. But I think that is normal..

The power outage posed a slight inconvenience, which was the only aspect I didn't particularly enjoy.

I arrived early and I was able to get into my room by 9am. The cafe next door is excellent and the hotel staff is friendly. Pick up-drop off service is a plus. Very comfortable bed. Felt safe staying there.

No hot water to take a shower. Notice in the room suggests to leave valuables in the safe but nor I, or hotel staff could open it. I couldn't connect to the internet in my room midterm of the time. Sauna was out of order.

This hotel.is the pick of a rather poor selection in Addis. Not a reflection on this hotel though. Excellent value for money and clearly popular. We had a very nice and comfortable room with a fridge, which is great. There are a tram of very friendly and helpful staff. It's very well located in Bole, which is a nice area, with some great restaurants nearby. Konark for Indian and Chanoly Smoothie and Noodle and Happiness Restaurant. It's very convenient for the airport. Free transfer to and from the airport.

Our pick up from the airport was very late with poor communication. The buffet breakfast was not kept hot and not great. The fresh cooked omelette was very good though.

Perfect location - close to the airport, near main street. The staff were friendly and helpful - especially early check-in. The beds were comfortable and clean. The room had a fridge and a balcony. The airport shuttle service was on time - free. The breakfast was very good.

Before arrival the hotel were connected with me via chat to make sure everything is okay with my arrival and everything else on spot was discussed, really nice touch. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and hospitable. The check-in was at 12pm.. but the lovely receptionist they decided to give me a room to sleep at until I've got my Suite room. "Thank you very much guys". I've arrived very early morning, and the driver "Teferi" is a great person, was waiting for me outside, for my free shuttle to hotel.. with alot of useful information in hand. Plus, they didn't mind that I decided to have my breakfast on day of arrival, instead of the following day.. I was hungry and the following day i woke up late.. so I am happy I had a very nice and good breakfast.. fresh juice and fresh coffee, with anjera. Don't forget to look up the roof floor.. for fresh air and get your coffee from downstairs. Good place to be.

Lobelia is a feel like home hotel.. Staff were so nice and friendly.. You will find people like Menyhil how helped me when my father got sick during our stay. All the staff helped but he was the one who took us to the hospital and stayed for translation. And you will meet with Sara on the reception, and her colleagues, they are all together a very good team, always smiling to your face. People on the restaurant, people on the Hotel shuttle service, security people, Abbay 😊. It's all about people.

It's an old hotel, most of the hotel facilities are not new, put compered with the price it's still a good deal, plus I'm a people guy. Thats why I recommend Lobelia as a number one option for people like me.
