What a gem of a hotel just one street from the beach in a quiet residential area with easy free parking in the street. The hotel exceeded our expectations with caring friendly and helpful staff. Room was spacious and well appointed with a super king bed. We travelled with our dog who was welcomed with a her own bed, bowl and treats. As we had the dog they arranged breakfast for us in the bar lounge area as they only have a breakfast room. The hotel is only a short drive from the port and the walled town of St Malo. We stayed for two nights but would have happily stayed longer.

Nothing really but we would have liked an evening meal but they don’t have a restaurant but they do provide some individual plates on request. We had a plate of assorted cheeses which was well presented and eaten in the bar lounge area.

I liked the quiet position of my room with a sea view between houses. It was easy to walk to the sea front with a view of St Malo. Loved the breakfast. We were greeted each morning in the salon du petit déjeuner, personally, with offers of coffee, which was brought to our table. Gluten free products were also brought when requested and there were 3 different items: flax bread, crackers (Schar) and Madeleines. As well as French bread, croissants, gorgeous jams & Breton cakes, there was an array of cheeses and cooked meats plus scrambled eggs and bacon. We felt very much at home during the 4 days we stayed. No-one batted an eye lid when we returned early afternoon for a long siesta. The efficient receptionist rang a restaurant for us and came up to our room later to tell us she had booked the table we requested. She also came to test my coffee machine when it produced hot water instead of coffee. I really appreciated the lift & never used the stairs due to health issues. The cold meat or cheese platter that could be ordered was very good and was served in the lovely bar/salon at one of the tables plus cutlery, plates etc. with a drink from the bar it made a very enjoyable meal.

Temperamental coffee machine in room 8. Both mine and hubby's room 10 had showers that ended up flooding the floor for no reason we could see. Soon after arrival I complained about the coffee machine and it was test run immediately by the competent receptionist, but also was told several times the allowance was only two dosettes of coffe par jour, after which I would need to pay. As it was faulty, I found this a bit much! Later, this receptionist became more understanding and offered free coffee as did another member of staff who tried to sort it out.

The situation was lovely and our room had a view to the sea. The bed and room were very comfortable. Parking on the street was not possible when we arrived so we paid for parking on the hotel carpark. There are steps up from the carpark to reception and then a few more steps up to get the lift. The receptionist was happy to help with our luggage fortunately. In the morning the breakfast room was downstairs in the basement. It was a small room but everything was available thanks to a human dynamo who was on the go all the time. Very good staff, so important

Very nice hotel, attentive staff and lovely breakfast buffet. We parked for free on the road outside the hotel but there is reservable, payable parking at the hotel if you want the guaranteed space. Bikes are also for hire at the hotel. We loved the location as prefer a quiet area but bare in mind it is the opposite end of the beach to Intra Muros (the centre) so a half hour walk. What a walk though! Along the promenade is just wonderful with the stark difference between high and low tide. We will definitely stay again! 😁

We love coming here. The staff are so friendly and helpful and the tranquil atmosphere of the hotel is really relaxing. We enjoy chilling over a glass of something cold in the lovely lounge bar and with a short stroll to the sea the location is perfect. We travel with our little dog who is welcomed with treats, a mat and a bowl. Rooms are comfortably and stylishly furnished and we appreciated having a bath as well as a shower. Thank you to everyone for another wonderful stay!

Nice people, great location close to a more quiet part of the beach, still walk distance to saint-malo. Great breakfast, own parking and garden.

A lot potential of the place is not used optimally. We suggest to use more the classy part of the place, the main living room would be best as the main breakfast room, with balcony views to the sea (instead you are eating in the cellar (formal service area?) the garden should get some more real green, the wooden screens give a feeling of a closed off worksite. It has the potential to have full green hedges, easy to fix into a modern green city garden…hope they take these quick fix ideas with them

Everything, the receptionist were helpful and patient when I tried out my French speaking skills! They explained where everything was. Our room (suit) was nicely decorated, clean, spacious and the shower was warm. There was shower gel and shampoo available plus a coffee machine, safe and hairdryer. The bed was very comfortable. There were great views from the windows. Breakfast was the usual continental breakfast, including scrambled egg and bacon. The location was in a quiet street with off road parking (at a cost) which we used as we had bikes on the back of our van. It was roughly a 40 min walk to the old town of St Malo along the beach front, a perfect spot to watch the sun setting.

The was nothing we didn't like.

We love this elegant hotel. Friendly and welcoming, it’s right by the sea and about 30 minutes walk along the promenade from the intra muros. The rooms are very comfortable and stylish and the beds are super. Staff go the extra mile and made our little dog very welcome too - plus you can reserve a parking space in the courtyard, which is essential in high season. Breakfast was delicious as always and we have already booked a return visit.

Hotel located in nice old style French building. It located in quite place and just 3-4 minutes walk from de Rochebonne beach, so location is great! Hotel has its own parking for 15 euro per night with 8 parking place, so if you need a parking place, please book it in advance. Hotel and room was good and clean, bed and pillows were comfortable. Breakfast was great, we asked for fried eggs and they made it for us, thanks a lot! (usually in Normandy and Breton you get just boiled eggs or omelette :) ).

Pretty & charming hotel, which used to be two houses dating back to 1800’s. Very well maintained. Our room was lovely a good size and a large comfortable bed with en-suite, all well presented. Breakfast was excellent, lots of choice and even some cooked options such as scrambled egg and bacon. The garden / courtyard looked inviting, with lots of places to sit and enjoy apero, but sadly too cold to do so in February. The bar/ lounge area is full of character too. We will definitely use this hotel again hopefully in the summer time when we can enjoy the garden. We were surprised to pay for parking in the private car park. But there is street parking available if you don’t want to do this. But overall prices were good.

No proper cups for coffee, I would expect them in a four star hotel. There were no cups in our room. I requested some and was given paper cups…. Also there was only one pod of coffee per guest and no milk. Meagre offerings and I almost got the feeling you weren’t meant to use it. We did..
