Spacious, well equipped, easy parking, location to shops and food

Bright lights on entry are operated by sensor. There is no switch for these - they stay on as long as they sense movement. When you go to bed, it's 25 minutes before they go off. A night visit to the toilet has you blasted with light - and another 25 minute wait - this was awful. We asked, and this could not be changed. The blinds do not keep out street light and it's very noisy from street traffic because there's no sound proofing. Eye masks and ear plugs are provided, but that's not a solution. It's a shame, but give this place a miss if you want to sleep well.

The Hotel is easy to find but try to check before the Staff leaves although when we arrived late at about 8.00 pm he happened to be still around . But, don’t count on this . Otherwise, you have to be kin digitally which is not something I am most adept to .

The location of the car park is not adjacent to the hotel . If the Staff was not available you would have to scan a QR Code. But first you need to locate the QR code then drive to the car park which is located across the road . After you have found the car park, you need to ascertain the designated lots for the hotel .

The interior is gorgeous, very tastefully done. The details - the artwork, the pottery, the choice of furniture are beautiful. The experience awakened our senses. Our room 4F was spacious, with beds, a large shower and laundry and a lovely little kitchen. It’s very close to the onsens and shops and the hotel has an allocated parking space. Cafe downstairs offers delicious food. We scored a few pieces of beautiful Beppu pottery from the in-house shop.

The shower could be stronger and hotter.

Our room was huge with plenty of room for our family or four. They also provide towels and onsen kits that you can bring to any of the nearby public onsens. We also really appreciated the very helpful staff. We arrived a bit late but they were there to help us in.

It's huge and it is a converted commercial warehouse which is definitely part of the ambiance and appeal. But it might be a bit much with all the concrete from the original structure. But, it looks like the pictures, so if you like the pictures, you'll like the place.

HAJIMARI Beppu was great for a short or long time stay. They give you vouchers to an onsen every night so you can enjoy traditional onsens. The room was so well designed. I loved the cassette player and the option to choose and play tapes during your stay. You can have in room massages as well at extra costs. Loved the café as well. Very decent price for this stay.

This hotel is a must for architecture and design fans. The attention to details is amazing. It is close to Beppu's city center and the room has all you need for both, shorter or longer stays. The staff was super friendly and we loved the collection of cassettes.

The room was clearly designed with aesthetics in mind, it was well-designed with lots of mindful and interesting touches. The casette player was really fun and it was a very enjoyable stay. Staff was kind, polite and very helpful.

Parking is across the street and you will only find out information upon check in. Parking info should be shared beforehand.

The apartment was very spacious and had lots of natural light in the living area. It was very clean.

I didn’t particularly like the concrete aesthetic. The apartment was noisy in that you could hear the neighbours above. I would have liked additional supplies included such as spare toilet paper and bin bags for rubbish.

The interior design, the cleanliness, the comfortable beddings. Availability of the washing machine and Location is perfect too.

Amenities which are not included. Parking is away from the accommodation so had some difficulties dragging my luggages crossing the busy road.

It was beautiful! What an amazing hotel, would recommend anyone going to Beppu to book a night here it was fantastic. The art in the rooms and the energy of the space was immaculate. We had breakfast down stairs the next morning which was delicious and very relaxing. It was a very simple check in, it is in a quieter area of Beppu which was a nice way to finish our time here.
