The beach location was perfect for walks and sitting outside and enjoying a glass and watching people stroll by. The staff were all welcoming and kind. Breakfast with a sea view was an amazing assortment of boil your own eggs, various breads, croissants, pain au chocolat, and yogurt, fruit and cereals. We really appreciated the clean, tidy, well appropriated rooms with comfy beds. Sea view from our bed was perfect and a little balcony as well. Caroline was exceptionally helpful and kind, assisted us with drink and dining selections and helped us navigate Saint-Malo with our minimal French and her understanding of English. We loved the 25 minute walk to center Saint-Malo and close restaurants. I wish we had booked more days there!

We loved our stay at Les Charmettes and its beautiful oceanfront setting. It's a 20-minute walk along the beach to the town of Saint Malo, which we enjoyed and was no problem for our 9-year-old daughter. We liked being able to easily walk to the town of Saint Malo then being able to retreat to the solitude of Les Charmettes later in the day to enjoy quiet evenings on beach. The beach access is unbeatable, and we spent much time enjoying the water and watching all of the kite and wind surfers. The change in tides from low to high is spectacular! The breakfasts we amazing and we enjoyed a couple of fabulous dinners on the oceanfront terrace. The rooms are of average size but very nicely decorated and were very clean & comfortable and the staff was warm and welcoming.

The hotel is casual, right on the beach but very well curated… everything is so charming but not stuffy. We had tasty meals from breakfast to dinner at their cafe. You can’t beat the location and I found their prices a reasonable value.
I’m partial to a pillow top mattress so all the mattresses at hotels feel a bit hard to me. But the linens and pillows were lovely!

Clean, comfortable, tranquil, well kept building by the sea. Tasteful decoration, tea making facilities, hot showers . Beautiful views. Good quality bedding.
A lot of Stairs difficult if you have a heavy case to take up that could be a problem. Take small overnight bag if staying over for ferry crossing next day. Breakfast cold only and not suitable for anyone with gluten and diary intolerance.

Direct access to the beach, amazing restaurant, parking for €9 a day. The staff were superb and so relaxed. The room was clean, cosy and stocked with water, tea and coffee and an extra blanket if you needed. Combination safe in the room too. A supermarket, some restaurants and bakeries within a 2 min walk.
About 20-30 min walk to the town but you don’t even think about it when you’ve got a stunning beach to walk past

All of our conversations with the staff were great, they couldn't have been more helpful. The location is fantastic, right on the sea front and a short stroll along a lovely promenade into St Malo. The Breakfast was very good quality although some may find the selection a little on the small side. We stayed here as a base for travelling and was great as Mont St Michel only 40min drive away. Overall, a fantastic stay and would happily return!
More a suggestion for improvement would be the addition of air-con. We knew it was not available so no issue with the hotel however in peak summer it was warm. A large fan was already in the room which helped.

Sadly this was a flying visit, just overnight before a morning ferry (a short drive away). Our welcome was lovely with a very pleasant and helpful receptionist. The room was clean and comfortable and despite the extreme heat, we slept very well. We had booked a table in the restaurant which was perfect for the lovely weather: outdoors, overlooking the sea! Despite being extremely busy, the service was good and the food very enjoyable (there is quite a limited menu). We didn't sample the breakfast as we had to leave too early. We were very happy to find a hotel where we could book parking.
Nothing! We'd love to return for a visit to see more of St Malo.

Great location: On the seafront with a lovely seaview and large balcony; reasonably close to Intra Muros; close to a small supermarket and a very good patisserie and adjoining an excellent restaurant.
Bathroom a little tight, no lift and perhaps a bit further from Intra Muros than we had envisaged.

Superb location on the seafront with outdoors restaurant and panoramic see view from indoors restaurant. This place has real charm and character and very friendly and helpful staff. Limited car parking so you must make sure you book in advance. The breakfast was delightful and well worth the extra cost, definitely recommend that.
I only downgraded the room comfort and facilities because we had an attic room (no 8 I think) and the shower room is tiny. Advise against this room if you are a larger or 6' plus person unless you like a challenge! Otherwise nothing to complain about.

Charming hotel on the beach. Friendly reception. Helpful to get us a very early morning taxi to the ferry!
We regretted not being in the main building, not on the beach precisely, but a bit further away. Difficult to go up several floors with heavy suitcases and no lift! Idea: it would be good also if some food was available to order and eat in the inside living area, independently from the restaurant outside, because the latter is so crowded that if you want even just a drink, it is so difficult to get served that you end up not ordering anything.
