This place is just simply wonderful! Serene oceanside setting, traditional local design, nice food and drinks, rooms are spacious, everything works, the beach is very private, pool is large and well maintained, views and sunrises are amazing. Most of all: the staff is top notch! They really make you feel like you were family. Very kind and beautiful people who do a great job every day! Oscar, Tuesday and all the others made our time unforgettable there! F-Zeen is perfect for a relaxing holiday: no parties, no animation or loud music. Come as a mzungu, leave in the hakuna matata mood! 😊

Lovely welcome from the receptionist even at 1am. They gave us cool facecloths to freshen us and a welcome cocktail. They also gave a complimentary massage the next day, right near the ocean which was so lovely. The location is fabulous on a beautiful quiet beach with beach umbrellas and day beds, as well as a great swimming pool. Other restaurants available a short walk from F-zeen if you want to eat elsewhere. The fruit at breakfast was so sweet and delicious. The property is clean and aircon works very well. The staff have huge smiles and are very welcoming, willing and helpful. I highly recommend organising airport transfer through this hotel and using their tour guide. Very reliable and worthwhile.

A lot of cats sit next to you in the dining area which might be a problem for some people. Breakfast food, baked items and hot drinks could be improved on. The toilet sometimes had no water for flushing in room 16.

I had just fulfilled a lifetime dream on Safari in Tanzania. What a place to wind down and relax afterwards. The bungalow on the beach, with the view to die for over the white sands, palm trees, and blue Indian Ocean. It's truly a picture postcard location! It really feels so peaceful and quiet, no boys trying to sell you souvenirs on the beach, unlike in some of the more tourist areas. The food is fantastic, and the Chef really does excel. Lovely pool for a dip if you fancy a change from the sea. I've left the best thing until last, the staff are amazing! I have travelled to a lot of countries, but the genuine friendliness and customer care here is unquestionably the best I've ever experienced in my 62 years! All of the staff from the girls who cleaned my bungalow twice a day to the Manager were superb. Oscar on the front desk was always checking I was happy and had a great knowledge of the local area! Tuesday, Joseph, Abdul, Mary, and all the team in the restaurant and bar made a solo traveller feel among friends from the get-go! I had some lovely conversations. They all had the time to chat, and their smiles were infectious. I loved my experience and was so sad to leave my friends from Zanzibar! Asante to everyone I met at F-Zeen, you made my holiday!

The property is located on a quiet stretch of sand and the beach is serene and beautiful. I had booked a bungalow with a garden view and got upgraded to a beachfront room. I got a fresh towel and freshly squeezed juice upon my arrival, and I was escorted to my room. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. I also received a complimentary massage on the same day. Their service is simply amazing and you’ll definitely feel pampered here. Their breakfast was delicious and the bread baskets were the highlight for me - they had an assortment of mini croissants, muffins, cake and toast. I was also given a complimentary traditional cocktail on my last night. The staff were very attentive and ever ready to provide anything you needed. I got a warm Zanzibar welcome at this boutique hotel because everybody adorned a smile every time they spoke to me. They also provided fresh towels, spotless bed linen and sprayed the rooms daily for mosquitoes.

On the first day of my stay there was a lot of hair in the shower -almost as if it wasn’t cleaned properly. Then at night, my nostrils were blocked because of the dust in the room. I’m allergic to dust and the dampness in the walls definitely didn’t help matters. I had to frequently apply Vicks (and take an allergy pill) in order to breathe properly.

Lovely quiet location. Beautiful beach view nice to look at all day. Very relaxing setting. The staff get a 10. They went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. Super nice staff. The chef definitely knew his stuff. Great food.

A bit of a drive to get anywhere .

This hotel is luxurious in some ways and rather simple in others. Real luxury is the place. Hotel is close to the end of Uroa beach, where the beach is clean, wide, very quiet and where you can swim every day. In case of the lowest tide, there is nice big swimming pool. It is a boutique hotel in African style, the staff is smiling and very nice, keeping whole place clean and comfortable. Our four days there after safari were exactly what we needed- complete relax and we enjoyed every minute there. The breakfast was very good, starting with fresh juice and a fruit plate. The mannager welcomend us warmly and ordered a farewell drink for us. We were given free upgrade to sea view rooms- almost on the beach-great.

The rooms are already older and in some ways simple. If you are looking for modern bathrooms and small details in rooms are important for you, then this hotel is not probably for you. If you want a peaceful place on great beach to feel itś atmosphere, than it is place for you. Thatś why we give 10.

Amazing location - we had the room directly at the beach and could see the sunrise from.our bed. We literally lived at the beach. The staff was amazingly friendly and caring and very authentic. We had a wonderful relaxing week - probably the most relaxing in our live! The area is not very touristy which is something we enjoy a lot. After a week we felt we knew the village :-) Running at the beach in the morning is a great experience (3km length of the beach) - followed by one of the best massages I ever had (in the hotel) and the vacation was perfect. We would definitely come again!

This was such an epic trip for me and my partner. We enjoyed every second of being at F-Zeen. The room George (the owner) assigned us was absolutely beautiful. Just as the pictures showed and actually even more beautiful. The whole hotel was super tranquil, and being able to hear the waves at night was just dreamy. We wanted a relaxing vacation and so glad we chose F-Zeen, it's not in a crowded area like other touristy areas like Nungwi or Paje. You could swim in the water, as my partner did every day. I enjoyed sitting on the porch or going for walks on the beach. The staff were exceptional and super attentive and happy to help with whatever we needed. It was my birthday celebration and they worked with my partner to arrange a lovely romantic dinner, with amazing sea food, topped off with the whole crew singing happy birthday in Swahili. On our last day I wanted samosas and the chef made it from scratch within 2 hours. I mean what more can I say, It was such a magical time. Huge thanks to everyone, George, Dianess, Oscar, the bar and kitchen crew. The food was amazing. We enjoyed it so much and the chef made sure to check in to see if there was anything else we wanted. I can't thank George and his team enough for treating us like family and making sure we had a great vacation. We will definitely be happy to be back and would 💯 recommend it to anyone looking for a chill, relaxed holiday. There are also activities that can be arranged for you. We're super sad to be leaving but we leave with great memories and relaxed minds. 🥰

We saved the best for last. After traveling around in Tanzania and Zanzibar we wanted a place where we can relax to end our amazing bucket list trip and this beautiful boutique hotel was exactly what we needed. OMG, simply paradise. The location is amazing. We booked the bungalow at the beach and I couldn’t be any happier. It was everything I had hoped for and more. The staff is fantastic! So friendly, so helpful. We received a complimentary massage and it was bliss! If you want rest and relaxation in an idyllic setting with palm trees and a beautiful beach with white sands and people who will make your stay an unforgettable one, then book this place! The WiFi is fast, the shower warm, the service amazing, and the location is PARADISE! Thank you guys for making our short stay a memorable one! What a great way to end this bucket list trip!
