We had adjoining rooms for two adults and two older teenagers, a corner king and a queen, on the top floor. Fabulous views from the balconies of the surrounding mountains and even the Bow River, which was a 2 min walk away. Supermarket and Bear St/Banff Avenue shops, galleries and restaurants were also 2 min away. Catholic church or Presbytarian church a 5 min walk. There is ample free parking for hotel guests in the basement. We only used our car to drive to Sunshine (15 min) and one day to Lake Louise (40 min). Everything in Banff was easy walking distance. Our rooms were really spacious and comfortable, with good strong showers, a small fridge, microwave and kettle. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was amazing, and there were also a-la-carte options. We opted out of daily housekeeping and were rewarded with $5 restaurant vouchers per room per night - $130 - well worth it!! And we were still able to ask for anything we ran out of or needed.

Honestly can't fault it!

BPL was one of the first hotels we stayed at when I first came in 2016… I was so excited to see there were Reno’s and was over the moon thrilled! We rented the jacuzzi room and I found it so perfect and beautiful! It was my first time also dining at La Terazza and that was also a true highlight.

The jacuzzi tub had some sticky residue (appeared to be beer or wine perhaps) on the ledge. renovations are stunning although a little sloppy in areas: some tiles don’t line up to the wall with some gaps in between.

They accomodated my request for a quiet room, and despite being informed I'd need to go outside and up some stairs (as the elevators weren't yet set up), I was placed in a new room on the main floor. Great location! Across the street from the hospital, (the reason for my visit) and the touristy part of town, with restaurants and shopping, is easy to walk to.

Fitness facility had no view and was hidden in the pool area. It also was extremely basic, yet crowded. You had to take off your shoes and socks to get there, or contaminate the area from the change rooms to the pool with what you brought in on the bottoms of your shoes. Since there isn't anything inspiring to look at, they probably should have moved the fitness alcove to the entrance. Not sure if the reason was because the renovations weren't complete, and they just set it up so the equipment could be used in the interm.

Amanda at the front desk was incredibly helpful on both check-in and check-out, as was the person who helped get our luggage to our room since the elevator didn’t go to our floor during the ongoing renovations. The accommodations provided because of the inconvenience of having to go through an outside staircase and up and down some stairs by far outweighed the hassle. The location was excellent as well. Beds were super comfy.

Some of the “old” has been left in the newly renovated rooms: old doors, old ceiling tiles, bathroom fans. It just stood out because the rest of the room was so new.

The lodge is absolutely at the best location in Banff- right by the river, right near the park and museums, practically on the bike path and inside downtown. All the staff- restaurant, front desk, concierge, housekeeping-- were extraordinarily courteous and helpful. They were above and beyond expectation. We used the breakfast buffet several times and it was very good. The pool is clean and well-kept as well as the locker room and we love the towels.

Our bathroom- accessible room 100--had a nice shower. But with every use the water went across the entire bathroom floor and out of the bathroom toward the room door, with the shower curtain closed. I realize this is necessary for a wheelchair accessible shower, but it increases the need for towels to twice the normal amount. we had to cover the floor with towels in order to use the bathroom, and set up a "dam" to keep water from leaving the bathroom. The only other issue was the in room coffee. It is the most tasteless coffee I have ever experienced in a hotel or restaurant. Even with using 2 sachets there was no taste. I recommend a different vendor. also-- your coffee at the buffet should be free for hotel guests.

Great Location. Good Amenities. covered parking on site. Friendly service at Reception and Restaurants. The Italian food for dining and breakfast was good. Bike rental facilities are on site. Pool and Jacuzzi.

Rooms felt dusty due to the construction going on at site. Also the beds could be more comfortable. We did a road trip to Banff and stayed at several hotels. The beds and pillows here were the least comfortable. I hope the hotel upgrades these as part of the renovations. Also would be nice to have modenr Keurig Pod style coffee machines.

Great location with access to Banff town minutes away. There was also a supermarket close by. Large rooms and great amenities for families for example, they have a laundry room where you can wash and dry clothes (coin operated) which also had a microwave, useful for heating up food for little ones! There is also an ATM in the hotel and underground parking. Hotel restaurant was also good quality although range of food could have been wider. Staff were friendly and helpful and went the extra mile on a few occasions, for example recommending local dining places on our first night as we arrived quite late, making one of our suitcases travel worthy with some duct tape, trying to arrange a tour for us with one of the tour companies in the hotel and giving us access to the parking garage for a short period after we had checked out as we had some time before our flight. We appreciate the flexibility, thank you!

Hotel was slightly dated but this wasn't really an issue and I know there are renovations underway.

The hotel is in an excellent location (very near the centre but no noise heard at all). We were overlooking a car park and didn't hear a thing! The room sizes are very spacious and comfortable. The hotel was/is in the process of being renovated and we were allocated a renovated room. The others did look a little dated when we peeped in open doors but I heard no complaints about them. We ate breakfast there which was a very good selection of buffet food or you can order from a menu. Would definitely stay there again.

nothing - all good!

Great location from the village, did everything on foot and loved the experience. Very quiet. They placed us on a room with a view of the mountains which was pretty nice. Food from the restaurant was amazing too.

The online check in doesnt quite work, we did it in advance and our room wasnt ready until 4:45 (45min later than what promised). Staff was a bit lost, sent us to the other way of the property instead to the correct direction. This all while we carry our luggage all the way on the street (since the hotel is in construction) to then find out it was in the other end. Staff should know locations of bedrooms. But other than that, all was great.

Beautiful mountain views, convenient location and welcoming arrival. Lounge was lovely and Aperol Spritz was perfect. Hotel was renovating during our stay and offered free parking, breakfast and any noise was very minor. Well done Banff Park Lodge !

Crave Grill waitress couldn’t be bothered to make eye contact to get a coffee or the bill, didn’t seem to want to be there. This always irritates me in a hotel with such wonderful customer service.
