the front desk and concierge staff and housekeeping were inefficient and understaffed. they took more than 15 min to check in guest resulting in long and disorganized wait. Our room was ready only at 8pm even though we arrived at the hotel at 3.30pm. Took a long time to check in and room was unavailable. The room had no slippers and the operators and housekeeping staff did not answer calls. The room air conditioning is rather warm as it is set at 24C at its lowest temp. the bathrobe was thin and crumpled. signages and directions about the hotel need to be improved. the spa and restaurants are tucked inconspicuously. there is no security as outsiders can enter the spa and exit into the rooms areas. Outsiders can also just walked in through the lobby into the rooms area. Security is v poor. Dining options are limited with one whole day dining and another opened only for dinner.

From the moment we arrived, the experience at this hotel was nothing short of extraordinary. Every detail was perfect, and the level of service exceeded all expectations. Our room was absolutely stunning — spacious, clean, and beautifully designed with luxurious touches throughout. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the view made it hard to leave the room! The Banyan Tree Spa is a true sanctuary. We booked massages and it was the best I’ve had in years. The therapists were professional, attentive, and genuinely skilled. The atmosphere was serene and calming, with every detail carefully curated to promote relaxation. Breakfast each morning was a real highlight. The spread was generous and diverse, offering everything from fresh pastries and tropical fruits to made-to-order eggs and local delicacies. The quality of ingredients was top-notch, and the service was warm and efficient. The swimming pool area was impressive. The pool itself is large, clean, and has a nature view over the lake. Every part of our stay felt like a special experience. If you’re looking for the ultimate getaway that combines luxury, comfort, and top-tier hospitality, this hotel is it. We can’t wait to return!

The view of the reservoir was healing and it really felt like a retreat. There was an automatic mosquito blind so that windows can be open for fresh air The room size and toilet was great The breakfast has good variety and have a lot of sitting at 7am unlike others has reviewed. I believe they went during peak hours which the hotel did mentioned about peak hours. Wifi is good The bed was comfortable The hotel gave a beautiful tree card as a gift.

Breakfast choice was good but the quality of food could be better. I rather have quality than quantity. The air-con lowest is at 24 degrees but I think it is ok because it suppose to be a sustainability hotel. The bidet pressure was very weak, I think that could be improved

Banyan Tree Mandai is right next to the wildlife park, this resort offers a blend of tranquillity, elegance, and connection to nature. The spa is nothing short of exceptional, the massage was amazing and the therapist was incredibly skilled — I left feeling completely rejuvenated. Delicious breakfast spread. The roof top infinity pool — an absolute highlight. Perched overlooking the lake, it offers a breath-taking, panoramic views. A unique luxury experience, and I can’t wait to return.

The large sanctuary room, kids club/playground, restaurant, restaurant + kids club staff and pool. Proximity to the 5 wildlife parks is excellent.

Still completing work, lots of workers constantly fixing things around our room and broader hotel. Hotel staff seemed to have never worked in the industry. The connecting boardwalk to the wildlife parks is still in progress. Lots of workers painting, using jackhammers and welding very close to the path.

It was very near to the wildlife parks which provided us easier access to have breaks in between the visits. Since our kids require their naps, we were able to head back to our room to rest and rejuvenate for the night activities like Night Safari. They also provided us option to have our free breakfast at their restaurant or at Singapore Zoo (Breakfast in the Wild). But we didn’t know that in advance and we bought separate zoo tickets for admission and turns out, after having breakfast, we were able to explore the zoo ourselves. It will be good to know about this so we could have saved up on the zoo admission tickets.

The Family Retreat room offers a loft bed which can be quite dangerous for those with young toddlers. My daughter missed her footing while climbing down the ladder and she fell through the ladder, causing a huge bump on her forehead.

Spacious family room and friendly staff. The kids enjoyed sleeping on the bunk bed. We were given a birthday cake enough for our family of 5 pax and it tasted so good. Staff Riyan was very helpful and went the extra mile to make our stay a pleasant one. The rangers club kept the kids occupied with their reading corners, colouring books and toys. The staff brought a mummified pangolin for the kids to touch and learn. overall, we had a pleasant stay.

No bath tub for family room and check in takes a while as they had to prepare the room for birthday decor. The balcony facing the hotel reception can be noisy at night due to ongoing works at the nearby building. Swimming pool can be abit crowded.

This hotel exceeded our expectations - the staff were so accommodating to our family, from arrival to the end of our 8 day stay. This was our first stop after moving to Singapore, and quickly became our first “home” whilst we found a permanent place to live. The Kids Club staff were incredible at keeping our 2 boys entertained whilst we conducted our property search. By the end, most of the staff knew us and our kids by name, and we were always greeted by friendly faces. As far as the hotel itself: the views are stunning, the building architecture, infinity pool, natural stone and wood decour, and room design were the perfect mixture of luxury and rustic. We hope to return soon, even just to say hi to our new friends at the Kids Club. Thanks for the hospitality - you gave us the best welcome ever!
