We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Monastero Sant’Andrea in Assisi. Our bedrooms were simple and clean with a very comfortable bed and pillows and a good shower. Plus we had a fantastic view of The Basilica of St. Francis. Breakfast was simple, but adequate. The staff were very kind and friendly. The hotel has a chapel where you can pray and an elevator. Highly recommend.

Staff were incredibly helpful and kind. The property was close to everything while being in a quiet little oasis. The rooms were beautiful, clean, comfortable and had everything you would need. The common terrace had incredibly beautiful views of the country and basilica of St. Francis; maybe the best view in Assisi! A great place to watch the sunset or have a morning cappuccino. It was perfect for a solo traveler to feel safe, cared for, and at ease. It felt like home away from home!

It would have been helpful if the breakfast hour began a little earlier but the breakfast itself was delicious and beautiful! Well done!

Our stay at Hotel Monastero Sant'Andrea was short but absolutely beautiful and enjoyable. The location is perfect, very close to everything in Assisi, which made exploring the town so much easier and more pleasant. The staff were brilliant and genuinely welcoming, adding a personal touch that made us feel well cared for. The food was tasty and satisfying, just what we needed to recharge after a day out. One of the highlights was definitely the view from the balcony, stunning by day, and absolutely magical at night. It was the perfect spot to relax and take in the beauty of Assisi. Overall, we left with lovely memories and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

Arrived on my birthday together with my Son - first joint holiday in years. We were really touched by positivity and friendliness of the staff, everyone was very helpful. The whole hotel, with no exceptions, was spotlessly clean, immaculate bedding & towels. We were given a room with most incredible view over the cathedral 😇💗 There (on the top floor) was also a big terrace/balcony just around the corner from our room with most spectacular views in many directions - over the city, the mountains, plus it was perfect for star seeing!! Very grateful to the staff arranging our stay. Felt like being in the heaven with all those views, beautiful energy of the place and very pleasant staff. It was, honestly, my best birthday everl!! Thank you VERY MUCH!!!💗

The room was great, simple, but with everything we needed. The extra toiletries included toothbrush and toothpaste! There were disposable slippers as well. Nothing in the room to make hot drinks, but facilities elsewhere in the hotel I think. We were in room 19 on the 5th floor with a view of the basilica. There is a lift! A roof terrace is shared and easily accessible from the lift area on the 5th floor. Shower was good. Breakfast was typical of an Italian breakfast with some savoury items and some sweet. Jams etc were all packeted ones. Hot drinks were from a machine. While not being the best breakfast we have had in Italy, it was by no means the worst either. The staff we saw were friendly. This hotel is right at one end of Assisi and away from the old centre so quite peaceful. Getting to the Basilica is easy, but everything else you need to plan your itinerary carefully. There is a lot of walking involved, slopes and steps. We ate at a restaurant just around the corner as did a few others from the hotel.

Another review had mentioned parking. There was gated parking on site, but like them we decided to use a public car park and walk. We used Mojano, which has escalators to help with the walk up and meant that we could view some of the sights on our way to and from the accommodation. We were only carrying backpacks! The location of the Monastera is great, but trying to find it on foot is very difficult and I am not sure that I would like to attempt it by car. Even using Google Maps we got lost. I didn’t check to see if the hotel had clear directions, but it would really help! Husband felt the interior was a bit ‘stark’.

The Hotel Monastero Sant’Andrea is a lovely place to stay in Assisi. The location is close to the Basilica of San Francesco and we had a beautiful view of the Basilica from our window. The room was simple, but comfortable and clean. The breakfast had a nice selection of both sweet and savory and the staff was very helpful, even locating a corkscrew and wine glasses so that we could enjoy a glass of wine on the terrace overlooking Assisi. There is an elevator to reach the upper floors.

They do have a small parking lot but it is a little tricky driving through the streets of Assisi to reach it. We opted to park in the Saba Giovanni Paolo II parking lot and walk the short distance to the hotel.

The hotel used to be a monastery that was turned into the hotel this year. The location is unbeatable, it's literally across the St. Francis cathedral. The staff was very helpful and cordial, giving recommendations for the day, where to park, where to eat and how to tour around the city. The room was bing enough, not very luxurious, but with an AC unit and comfortable beds. Breakfast was OK, nothing to boast about, but good enough options.

The staff is only available until 11:00 PM, after that you're on your own. The parking space is very limited, and since it's in the middle of the old-town, parking nearby is not really an option. It would suck on a rainy day.

This is my second time staying here. I really enjoyed my stay, the peaceful atmosphere and the lovely breakfast with homemade cakes and friendly Gabriella to greet the guests (and who she remembered me from my previous stay). The ladies at reception were very professional and kind as well. I've recommended this place to friends and will continue to do so! My only wish is that by renovating the rooms they don't strip the place from the soulful sacred atmosphere from the history of the old previous convent which adds enormously to this beautiful place. Can't wait for my next visit!

The location is top-notch. Right in front of St. Francis basilica with a direct view over it. Very close to the main bus station, close to restaurants, churches, souvenir shops. It was a monastery previously, so it keeps some of the sobriety of such place, with a small chapel inside, with icons and religious items displayed around which I find beautiful. The staff was very kind, very helpful, they made me feel like home. The view from their rooftop terrace is iconic, very hard to beat in Assisi. The room was very clean and the bed, even though very small, it was comfortable.

The rooms don't have any sound isolation, so basically, each step on the corridor, each key inserted in any door, each talk or whisper sounded loud and clear in my room as well. Late at night, early in the morning, sleeping quietly was a big challenge. Then the AC in the room would switch off after reaching a certain temperature and never go on again unless I get out of bed and do it myself. Imagine doing this every hour during the night. It's not ideal at all.

I loved the staff. They were all so great, kind, and helpful and did not hesitate to provide whenever we needed anything. Even just to make my mother just a bit more comfortable by giving us with plates and glasses for dining in and enjoying a glass of wine. The rooms were also comfortable, clean, and had a great view. The breakfast was very good and there were several options for those like myself who eat a little on the healthier side. All in all I would recommend it to anyone who's looking for something affordable and yet a great value for the money. I loved that they had a chapel in there as well for morning prayers, which my mother personally appreciated seeing as she could pray as early as she wanted.
