The husband and wife hosts, Carmine and Lia were super nice and extremely helpful and accommodating. We loved the breakfast! The homemade breads, fresh squeezed orange juice and coffee drinks were all made to order. Lia makes the most wonderful breads and sweet treats. Carmine helped us with carrying our luggages all the way up to the 3rd floor. We loved the modern yet simple elegance of the hotel, and the fact that there were only a few rooms. We couldn't ask for a better stay. We definitely would stay at this place again and recommend to our friends and family.

The only issue was that the electrical outlet in the bathroom wasn't working. I had to blow dry my hair using the outlet in the bathroom hall which was slightly inconvenient since there was no mirror. I'm sure that if I addressed it, Carmine would immediately fix the outlet, but I didn't bother to bring it up since we were only there for 2 nights. Plus, this was a very minor issue compared to everything else that was outstanding.

Love the beautiful contemporary interior design. Sleek and clean cut. One of a kind. And all furnitures are in the right places. My husband and I feel very comfortable . Our hosts are lovely and accommodating. Introduced us to a driver who did most of our transfer. All on time and easy communication. Breakfast was a ‘wow’. Way too many good items to mention . From home made bread, cookies, fresh ripen sweet fruit, to scrambled eggs. All perfectly done. And all the eateries they recommended were good. From gelato, pastry (quick lunch) to restaurant. Just mind that the bathroom door is made of semi see-through glass. Meaning there is no privacy .

The owners/hosts were so helpful, kind and communicative, we felt welcome right away! Breakfast was amazing, with many items made by our hosts. The location is excellent as well, just down the street from the main piazza. The property was very clean, very well decorated and was overall a wonderful place to stay.

The only negative was the shower - the shower in our room did not have a door (by design) and lots of water splashed out onto the floor of the room when we used it. The floor itself was very smooth, so it became very slippery when wet and we had to lay down several towels to keep from slipping.

We loved everything about Portico 10. The owners, Carmine & Lia could not have been any more gracious and welcoming as hosts. They were very accommodating to giving suggestions or recommendations. The building had a historic 1st century BC wall but everything else was very modern with the special touches of beautiful antique pieces of furniture. Our room and mattress were extremely comfortable. One also would not be disappointed in breakfast. There were many choices but the best were the homemade pastries, breads and sweets that Lia makes. Also, do not miss the special rooftop patio with the spectacular view of the lower Assisi town. This was a gem in Assisi not to be passed over.

We loved everything! Owners, Lea and Carmine, were wonderful hosts. Their property is well kept and our room (Suite) was spacious! The style is a great mix of modern and old world - everything is completely new and recently renovated, preserving all of the old stonework. They even have a rooftop terrace that is beautiful to catch some sun or watch the sunset! The place spotless! The breakfast was truly wonderful. Lea calls it a continental breakfast but this is an underestimation! It exceeded our expectations!! Everything sweet and savoury was homemade daily by Lea. They had a beautiful spread of various fruits, breads, sliced meats, cereals, sweets such a cookies, loaves, cakes, homemade jams, and each morning they have fresh eggs. If you’d like them cooked a certain way they will make it for you. Also wonderful coffees and fresh squeezed orange juice! We loved Lea and Carmine so much - they felt like family!! It will be hard for any other place to match the service we received from them. In addition, we visited during the Calendimaggio festival, a medieval festival where the two teams of the town compete in many ways. Ex. Flag throwing, games, re-enactments, etc. I felt transported in time. We stayed from May 9-11. We loved Assisi and especially Portico10! Perfect location in the centre of town. We were pleasantly surprise with the accommodations. We were treated like a king and queen. Everything was perfect from the moment we entered the B&B. I especially liked the breakfast. Lia mentioned that it was a continental breakfast. In the states a continental breakfast consists of a danish, cereal, hard boiled egg, juice and coffee. This was a full breakfast with freshly baked good, eggs to your liking, coffee, etc. etc. etc.

We just ended a most wonderful 3-night visit to Portica 10 in the old town section of Assisi and it was WONDERFUL, beyond any reasonable expectation. The hosts are Lia and Carmine. They are also the owners (and Carmine was actually involved in the construction/remodeling). You feel like you have been welcomed into their home (which in fact is true as they live there in the building). The building is within easy walking distance to all the sites you will want to visit. The interior remodeling looks brand new and should be featured in a magazine it is so beautiful. Capturing stone walls that date back to 1000 BC together with glass staircases and even glass covered architectural excavations. All doors are electronically controlled by pass card, so you don’t have to carry around bulky sets of keys. Our room was very spacious, beautifully decorated, and had the most comfortable bed. The lighting systems in each room are state-of-art with panels by both the door and the bed. There is a rooftop terrace that gives you a view out over the red tile roofs of old town, all the way down to the valley below. The rooms have minifridges that come stocked with some essentials. But let me tell you about the “simple continental breakfast”. There is nothing simple about it and it goes way beyond a normal continental breakfast. Lia bakes fresh breads and pastries every day. And not just one type, but several. Every morning she had a different type of savory croissant, at least two types of bread, 4 or 5 cakes, strudels, pastries, or cookies. They offered sliced cheeses and meats. Carmine is often in the kitchen making fresh squeezed juice from various fresh citrus. There were always fresh cut fruits, various fresh berries, and whole fruits available. Multiple cereals were available and if you have any food allergies or sensitivities’, let them know in advance and they will go to great lengths to accommodate your needs.

Super clean, good location (near places of interest, churches & good restaurants), super breakfast, very warm and sincere host! My husband and i loved the place. I thanked my friend who recommended this place. We felt we were visiting our family members. We felt very welcomed. If you decide to come to Assisi, dont look further. Just book this place! Very clean, mix of modern and antique in artistic way. Very comfortable bed, beautiful roof, modern bathroom. Owners are amazing, great breakfast & hospitality. And the location is literally the best! Few steps from the main square! Would definitely stay there again.

Great small family run structure in the centre of Assisi. You can do everything walking. Parking (public) is not to far and anyhow, you don’t need the car in Assisi. The rooms was nice and well equipped, we enjoyed the brekfast witha fresh cakes prepared daily.
