The location is very good - right off the central square and close to good restaurants and many of the sites. The best part of the stay was the staff. They are amazing! They were very kind and generous, even taking special care to set out a cold breakfast for us because we had to leave very early in the morning before their normal breakfast hours. They arranged taxis, gave us great recommendations for visiting locations, made dinner reservations, and shared a lot of information about the city. They take great care of the hotel property and guests - it felt like being at home with family.

The location was great for us. The Assisi town is beautiful and in that smaller area, there is just so much to see and do. We visited in March so I imagined it would be even busier in the higher season. Our hotel was great, family run establishment and everyone was so polite, helpful and helped direct us with maps to some sights we shouldn't miss. Given the short stay, it was very good to have that piece of information. The people in the town like restaurants and shops were equally helpful and the sights were just awesome. Our needs were met and would stay at Hotel Pax should we travel back to visit.

It's a family business and the family members are involved and were very nice and friendly. They explained all the must-see in Assisi and gave great tips. The location is amazing, in the middle of the city. Breakfast was great. Good value for money.

From our room we could hear some delivery trucks arriving at 5 in the morning. It's a bit too early to be up with beeps and engines. We understand the city is small, but next time we will ask for a more quiet room.

Beautiful old hotel in a wonderful old building. It was very close to the main square, so we enjoyed an easy walk up the hill for dinner. Breakfast was wonderful! Loved the buffet and unlimited coffee.

You had to park well down the hill from the hotel, but that is to be expected and could not be helped in an ancient town like this. No marks against it for that, it's just the only negative thing about the place.

Charming hotel operated by a lovely family whose hospitality made us feel at home during our visit to Assisi. Clean, well-appointed rooms, delicious breakfast, and expert information on what to see and how to get around town (in English) including a welcome to dine at their own family restaurant, which should not be missed. Very conveniently located to see everything in Assisi. Thank you all again, we hope to see you on a return visit to your very special city one day. May God bless and keep you!

Only that our visit was too short!

Hotel Pax is a family-run hotel. My wife and I were given so much kind help by Mr. Antonio Scalioti and his dear family during our stay. The hotel is very charming. It’s perfectly located in the old area of Assisi. Our room was small but very nicely decorated. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel has a restaurant right around the corner and we chose to have our dinner there. It was delicious! We can highly recommend eating there. And their desserts are all home made! Thanks to the Scalioti family for making our stay in beautiful Assisi such a wonderful experience.

The owners of the hotel were friendly and very warm. The day we traveled from Rome to Assisi there were train delays and cancellations. But they called to find out what time we would be arriving and waited for us. We reached the hotel at almost 11pm. And they were still waiting for us. We had a pleasant experience in Assisi all because of the warm reception.

The proprietor and staff were all excellent and helpful. You can tell the care that they had for their property. Location was convenient to walking to St. Francis Basilica and other churches we wanted to visit. Very convenient to a lovely piazza. It was also a few meters from the church of St. Mary Maggiore where we were surprised to see Blessed Carlo Acutis’ nearly incorrupted body.

The bed was a little too hard for our liking. Basic breakfast.

Amazing location right off the main square, perfect for touring the sites then returning for a rest before going back out (it was hot). The staff were so attentive, they went the extra mile and helped us with our next connections which were messed up because of the train strike. Their restaurant was also very good. Lovely people!

It was the breathtaking location right in the middle of the little town of Assisi. My train was delayed from Rome and they were very nice to let us to do late check-ins. It was a lovely generational-family-run property and restaurant (a great ristorante that we learnt later on, that it was always full with local Italians as well as well-travelled tourists).

Everything was perfect.
