Fabulous place! Gorgeous view of the valley from a huge terrace. Actually every window had a view. Loved walking into an apartment rather than a hotel. Close to Santa Chiara church and close to the main piazza. Assisi has lots of steps, as does this apartment. If that’s not a problem for you, the upstairs shower was great - had strong pressure and water was hot. Didn’t use the tub. Restaurants and cafes are right out the front door. We stayed five nights and I’d love to return to Assisi and this apartment. Oh! And Laura is a wonderful baker. It was a beautiful stay.

I should have asked how the towel warmer works and the temperature control was a little hard to adjust.

A great location, steps away from the center of town and lots of shops and restaurants. The view from the deck was incredible. The breakfast was excellent. Lots of choices, meats, cheeses, cereal, yogurt, fruit, bread, pastries. The room we had was a short distance from the main property where we went for breakfast. The room was clean and comfortable with a large bathroom. Laura, as others have noted, is a great host. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

The only drawback, and a minor one, was that there was no shower but a bathtub with a handheld shower nozzle. And I should note that there is a long stairway up to the room, but we consider it exercise that allows us to eat more.

The host was kind to upgrade us for a small fee to a bigger room. It was a gorgeous and spacious room with clean sheets and a tower view. Continental breakfast was lovingly prepared by the host and was a decent spread. Location was close to centre but quiet.

Entrance was via a long flight of stairs with no lift, if you are carrying heavy luggages, it’s quite a struggle up the stairs. Do note that car was not allowed into the town unless you have permission so lugging the luggages through the town is also a struggle given there are several steps from car park outside town to the address.

The location is so strategic as to be a few moments away from the convenient Matteotti Parking garage, reachable by pathways that require no climbing of stairs, and also close to the main hub of action and social interaction in nearby Piazza Commune, which is reached by traversing a series of wide and shallow steps. The piazza is often buzzing with activity, yet this lovely apartment is tucked away from the noise. The apartment is impressive and large, offering a well equipped kitchen, large living room with views, two bathrooms and even a clothes washer. Awesome choice in Assisi!

Laura was so sweet while we had a bit of difficulty communicating in English but there was no issue at all. Everything was simply perfect for my lone journey in Assisi... Amazing panoramic view of the city of peace Assisi from the balcony of my room I stayed in. There is a restaurant just downstairs from the apartment with great food and superb wine selection. Sheets and towels were pure white and pristine clean. The location was perfect for shopping, dining, and visits to amazing basilicas.

Nee some censored lighting in the hallway going up the stairs to the apartment in the night. I couldn't find the switch to the light so that was a bit frustrating

The room was so spacious and exactly how it was shown in Booking. It had a modern touch and it was wonderful. The mattress was amazing, there was a big shower, a big bath, and a walk-in closet! Even with bath slippers and robes. We had the view of the towers, very beautiful.

Just one comment, if you see the first photo on Booking, it will not catch your attention - in my opinion - you will not really want to book this or to see what's next but if you click to see the photos you see the beautiful room with the modern touch and that was what made me book the room. I would change the photos and show the beautiful spacious room first, to attract attention. Because it was really special. Hoping you will get more bookings!

Clean, nice breakfast, the host is very sweet, we felt at home. I loved the sounds of bell coming from the church tower near us. It’s very near Piazza Comunale and Basilica Santa Chiara. You can take a tour bus right there at the Piazza.

It’s a little tricky to arrive there, ladder and stairs, but it’s worth it.

This was the final destination for our walking holiday around Umbria - and this accommodation was our favourite. It’s more amazing than the pictures. The view from the terrace is stunning and a great area within the apartment The bed was extremely comfortable. The view from the bathroom is breathtaking The breakfast was also the best we’d had Laura was a great host

From the moment that I walked into my room at La Zappa Inglese, I smiled. The room was large, and the big side window provided a beautiful view of the Assisi countryside. Paola fixed a lovely breakfast each morning with a wide variety of food items. The B&B is close to Piazza del Comune, and I considered this location ideal for walking to San Francesco Cathedral and other important historical sites.

There was nothing that I didn’t like!
