The spacious room, the breakfast buffet and the shops around it. The staff at the dining room was very helpful and courteous.

The lady supervising the pool on Tuesday night. She made us feel unwelcome and keep on reminding us about pool closure time then ask us to leave 15 minutes before the spa and pool closing time. We chose this hotel because of the pool and spa facilities but her demeanour made us feel so uncomfortable and feeling like she wants to get rid of the patrons as soon and many as possible. Very disappointed!!

We are familiar with this hotel having stayed here many times over the years. Room size good. Renovated entrance lobby an improvement.

Bedrooms becoming a little outdated. The room we were given this time decidedly tired. Pillows awful and basic. Considerable hassle getting non-feather pillow. Could do with better anti-mosquito measures in the lobby. Meagre coffee and tea supplies. No water supplied in rooms - notice in rooms stating this adheres to government policy on use of plastic - other hotels provided water in non-plastic containers. Notice at front desk states no toothbrushes or toothpaste provided in bedrooms - however we were given these at rewception.

Transport: nearest mrt is Xinyi elementary school which is about 15 mins walk away for us with kids along. We enjoyed the walk anyway since we could see local stalls or shops selling yummy local food and snacks. Uber can be easily booked from mobile app too. So the distance from hotel to mrt wasn't an issue for us. We could book Uber easily and picked us up from hotel. Breakfast: Average for us. You will have what you need basically. We stayed for 6 nights and the variety was about the same everyday. But we like the coffee for sure👍 Cleanliness: Howard isn't a new hotel anyway hence certain facilities or equipment in rooms perhaps need more refurbishment. Overall still fine in our opinion. Room facility: We had the family suite room and I love the beds due to their sizes. Such bed size was just right for a family with 3 large size guys and I do not need to be kicked out of bed😅 Decor: The paintings and mirror with the word "家” located at the floor actually accentuate the atmosphere. I appreciate the wide range of paintings which show plenty of art techniques. Good to have for sure👌

As mentioned above, overall still fine, just some areas such as the furniture might need to be changed. Reception and Lobby area can be more welcoming in terms of room design or decor since it is afterall a 5 star hotel. It lacks a usual 5 star hotel lobby and reception setting. Paintings were good to have but personally I think the setting must be able to compliment them too.

The staff was very helpful and nice, and the room was big. It was value for money for me having booked it very early in advance. The room was cozy and comfortable, and clean, and I love having a bathtub in my room that was one of the things I really enjoyed relaxing every night.

It's a bit of a walk to the nearest mrt station which is about 10minutes, so under the heat it is quite warm. However, it's in between 2 mrt stations so you can take your pick on which direction to go to. Other than that it's relatively convenient to get around by foot, bus or mrt train to other parts of Kaohsiung

The breakfast was pretty good. We had dinner once on M3. Food is good too.

Breakfast for Chinese could have more varieties. Also the price was way too high for us, who unfortunately did not pay in advance. This was our family first trip to Taiwan, including three young grandchildren. We were not sure if they were able to accept Chinese breakfast so we didn’t include breakfast when booking the rooms. I just wish your policy could have been more flexible; it would allow us to add the breakfast fees to our room charges at check in, or offer more reasonable charges towards us or other guests like us.

We booked premium executive room so our room had a bathroom with bath tub on the high floor. The beds were comfortable and there were fruits and water everyday. Breakfast was also nice, there were many kinds of food for buffets.

Hotel staff don’t speak either English and Japanese well, and no smile. They are not so kind. The hotel is close to the MRS station but actually not so close. It takes 10min but if you have some luggage with you, it’s takes 15 minutes or more. There are a lot of motorbike on the pedestrian side, it’s uncomfortable to walk with luggage in the hot weather. You need taxi.

The room size was very big. The bed was huge. The view from the 23rd floor was amazing. The hotel pool and spa.

The mattress was a little hard, although I still slept well. Only 1 pillow supplied but organised quickly when asked for a 2nd. The hot tub water was way too hot. The location was a little further from the train station. Which mentioned either a sweaty walk to get there or a taxi.

upgraded to a family room with two queen beds! spacious room with bathtub decent breakfast spread that's value for money! the pencil in the room is nostalgic! shampoos and soaps were really fragrant!

rooms we got might feel a little old, but there are some rooms that have undergone renovation and might look better!
