Angela was such a lovely host. Full of ideas and suggestions. We found it difficult to park as someone had parked their car diagonally going into 2 spaces. But Angela was on it, phoning the owner, rearranging everything. And was successful. She really went over and above the call of duty. Great English, really affable and so so helpful. The Apparthotel is really quaint with a lovely terrace. The fact they have parking in this medieval city centre is amazing. Must be reserved in advance. A great little place. Angela recommended the champagne bar where we could buy a glass of blanc de blanc for 11 euros - and it was LOVELY!
It was a gorgeous little place. Bravo.

location was good close to town centre and restaraunts . check your map its easy to get disorientated and walk the wrong street and wrong way. breakfast delivered to our room the night before in a basket , all good bed good lovely town and restaraunts nice atmospere.
shower room walk in shower , but the whole room gets wet and slippy it is possible the shower curtain was missing , but some attention in the bathroom is needed to minor details . WC continues to run until you tap the flush again. what else.; finding the place . have a look on google maps at where you are going and what you will see. we looked for a Hotel. actually stopped outside and didn't see it. (sat nav took us directly to it) drove around the block and then realised it is a door in the wall. Not the hotels fault really :-)

This has to be the cutest, and probably oldest, hotel I have stayed in. Checking in was easy and speedy, and we were shown to our room, not just left to find it ourselves. If you like quirky, you will love this hotel. Showers in the bedroom, toilets in cupboards, hidden second bedrooms, unexpected balconies.....the list goes on. There is limited private parking The hotel is situated very handily for a stroll to the restaurant area, and there is history everywhere you look.
The parking is very limited, and some of the spaces are small. There is aircon in the living room, but not in the bedrooms.

The location was great, within a few minutes walk of the Old Town. The owner was very hospitable and helpful. We had to leave early the following morning and we had a breakfast delivered the night before. It was absolutely wonderful! The room was large and incredibly comfortable. The only point to note is that if you drive a large car it can be tricky navigating the entrance and small car park. Having said all that, parking on site is a bonus and the owner was very helpful in navigating us into the car park. It’s definitely recommended to pre-book the car park if you want a space as it’s very limited. Would highly recommend and would definitely return.

I liked this place, it was in the middle of the old town. On foot, within a few minutes, you would reach all the interesting spots you would look for. Furthermore it has it’s own and safe parking just in the location, and it’s easy reachable by car or bike. Especially the hosting was fantastic. The patron called me in advance to ensure, every thing would work fine on my arrival. The apartment-style I liked a lot - so you’ve got everything you need in your four walls. Thanks for the stay and the kindness.

The building is fascinating and intriguing. Pierre helped us to park which was great. The bed was super comfortable and shower good. Location fantastic for the restaurants and cathedral museum etc. The breakfast baskets were splendid too.
We hadn’t realised our bed was up a very small set of steps and as 68 and 74 year olds that was challenging. Booking.Com might like to include something like that in their information? Kettle needs replacing.. lid didn’t close! We didn’t get a chance to tell Pierre!

Simply the most unusual place I’ve ever stayed. It was like living in mediaeval London. If you want an experience, I highly recommend it!
There’s nothing to dislike about the property because there’s nothing to compare it to. If you’re not good with smells though, it does have the smell of a very old building which I didn’t find unpleasant and if you have a bird phobia, I would avoid it as there are pigeons. If you’re not used to French properties don’t be fooled by the frontage which looks a bit like a lock up!

We loved this place but don't come if you favour a modern soulless hotel room. St Georges is a historic (16th century) restoration in the heart of the old city. A unique experience. Host delightful and informative- and helped us navigate the narrow archway into the courtyard. He even rang ahead to check our arrival time so he he could be available! Breakfast was excellent and enough for lunch as well
The rooms were a little dark but this was as to be expected in an ancient building

This hotel is really a real surprise and mystery experience. The location is amazing - in the old city centre, in a monument building from 16th century, on a narrow tiny cobbled street, a couple of minutes walk from the main streets of Troyes. You come to a locked gate with no signage or visible hotel entrance/reception. Only a mysterious note on a house's gate, telling you to call a certain (French) number (for me it was an international call, so I was initially quite annoyed). A super friendly voice tells you he'll be around in 5 minutes. In this time, two more cars with hotel's guests stopped behind me, as confused about it all as us. The locals, in the meanwhile, trying to pass through the narrow street with their cars, were giving us nasty looks for blocking half of the street (we all parked half on the pavement). The manager then arrived in a run down pick up truck with a broken mirror, and expertly manoeuvred in front of this little queue of cars in another surprising development. When he opened a gate, a tiny medieval courtyard appeared. It was super cute, with a little sitting area with garden sets and plants. Also somewhat hilarious because when you see it you don't believe you can get in with the car. You need to basically put your car perpendicularly on the street and possibly turn the mirrors in to get through the gate, though the friendly manager very confidently directs you... (there is another bigger parking 200m away, free after 7pm). We took it all in our stride, because it was really quite a magical place at the end, a little quirky and scruffy but special. The apartment was small and wonky but cosy and convenient, the bed was very comfortable, with good quality bedding. There is a library of old books near the reception. The manager was really so friendly, in what seemed like such a genuine and patient way. A highly unusual but nice experience.
See above.

Friendly & very helpful staff, very clean & great location for centre of the old village Parking available on site Beautiful breakfast basket delivered to room each morning
Very tight parking both to gain access to hotel & once inside but very experienced staff guide you & assist. In our apartment we had a very annoying step up to bathroom & toilet which needs to be extended to where the hallway narrows as you always trip up or down it even knowing it’s there as placed just where the door ends, but your eyes take you to narrowing of hallway. Not enough cutlery for 4 people, no bread knife.
