The location was perfect for exploring this beautiful town. The room was clean, comfortable and a reasonable size well appointed very nice bathroom.

We only booked breakfast on the first day but were very disappointed in it and didn't really think it was value for money at 17 euro per head. I asked for omelette, it said in the room you could but the person on duty said it wasn't an option. Also the shower wet the bathroom floor and mat whatever we did - not a big problem but needed towels replaced every day. Finally it seems smoking is allowed on the balcony - our balcony was shared with the room next door and they smoked on the balcony in front of our room not theirs!!

The hotel is situated in the heart of the old town, near the Cathedral and there are restaurants near by. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful, couldn't fault them. The bed was comfortable, there was a tea and coffee tray and a mini fridge. I liked that there was a bath robe each, and slippers and a hairdryer. It was a big bonus to have a car park with an area reserved for clients of the hotel. There was an underground passage that led from the car park to the hotel.

There was dust in the corners of the toilet, even on the toilet roll holder. The shower didn't have a door. We had to ask for a bedside table for one side of the bed. There wasn't much room for suitcases and we could have done with something raised on which to put the cases. The comfort room was supposed to be a minimum of 20m2 but I'm sure it was considerably smaller. I think breakfast was a bit pricey.

The hotel reception and bar area where good - but the rooms where very tired and dirty when we arrived and we changed 3 times before finding an acceptable one. The last one was a refurbished room and a lot better. Make sure to ask for a refurbished room when you book. The night porter was very good and helpful when we returned in the evening after dinner for a drink.

Parking is in an underground car park with hotel reserved spaces. We didn't know about that so drove around quite a bit before finding it. You need the address of the carpark and not the hotel for satnav.

The location and ease of parking. Helpful friendly staff. A lovely hotel that we have stayed in before and would chose again. I like the fact you can walk straight out of the hotel into the centre of Troyes.

The tv didn’t work. I did report this and apparently the hotel has had problems with TVs since some of the rooms were refurbished. This needs to be looked at and checked. Also the internet is extremely slow so no good for working or video calls.

Location and breakfast were amazing, we had a really great stay enjoying the views of quirky rooftops, wandering the dark streets and sleeping in very comfortable bed. To awake to such a comprehensive and varied breakfast was the icing on the cake. Secure parking a reassuring addition. Recommended

The intermittent wi fi provision was poor, although we didn’t pursue this with the staff. It might have been fixable! Slightly tired fixtures, carpet a bit past it’s sell by date. The longer we stayed the more we enjoyed the experience though.

Troyes is a lovely old city and this hotel is right in the centre of the pedestrian area. The reserved hotel parking is very convenient, although the entrance can be a little tricky to find, but they do send you the address of the parking garage, which obviously is not in the pedestrian area. There is no restaurant, but there are dozens within a few minutes walk - we ate at Le Jardin which is 20m away in the same street, and was very good.

The location in the heart of Troyes was perfect. Close to everything needed as a traveller. The lounge was quiet and enjoyable for sitting to read or have a drink, having windows to the cobblestone laneway. Staff were very friendly and responsive.

The accommodation was simply decorated which was fine even though a little dated/tired but the positive features made up for this. I know bacon and eggs is not traditionally French, but the only thing I suggested to them was to cook eggs for guests individually so they were not sitting in the heating dish.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights last year during the annual Music Festival. The location is absolutely fantastic and it is a beautiful hotel. Fabulous!

Our room had recently been refurbished but the Air Conditioning hadn't been finished so wasn't working. My husband and I could not sleep because the room was so hot. It was the evening of the Music Festival so we couldn't open the window because of the noise outside (we did try). We didn't complain because we don't like to especially when we know how amazing the hotel is from our stay last year.

Perfect location for a short break. Breakfast good value with good range of continental options. Friendly and helpful staff. The negatives below also added charm and quirkiness, it was interesting to see how the whole hotel with modern fittings and facilities was incorporated inside a very old building.

It wasn't a problem for us, but our bedroom unexpectedly had several steep steps just inside the doors that we had to navigate with our suitcases. There was also a low beam over our bed.

The property was very unique, stylish and comfortable. It was a great location to the town and tourist spots. Parking was easy and good value for money. Felt very safe. Troyes is a very lovely city that mai rains its cultural heritage with some fantastic eateries!

Unfortunately, the hot tub was out of order during our day, which was one of the reasons we did pick the hotel.
