Our family of 3 only stayed one night, during our birthdays (husband's that night, wife's in the morning). They even brought my wife a special birthday breakfast. It was an amazing place in the trees and with a beautiful view. The room was awesome and our daughter stayed in the loft upstairs. The area and some of the facilities reminded us of a scene in Star Wars. : ) We would have liked to stay longer! It was far up in the hills but worth the drive. The restaurant lighting and decorations were very cool. We typically prefer local music at hotel restaurants when traveling (e.g. Indonesian/Balinese), but the early 1967 Pink Floyd music they were playing was unexpected and extra fun on our birthday night. Excellent food and drinks. Totally recommend this place!

Munduk Heaven Luxury Villas is like a true touch of paradise. Overlooking the most scenic mountain landscape, with an abundance of nature and offering peace and quiet, away from main city regions and hustle and bustle, this stay is truly one of a kind! When I arrived, I didn't know what to expect, but absolutely blown away by what this premises has to offer. From the original Bamboo and textures that make up the floating Villas and rooms, to the beautiful Spa, that offers a panoramic view of the landscape while getting a massage or taking a bath in their spa, you just can't get enough. The hotel manager, Fajar and staff were extremely hospitable and very attentive with their guests. You can dine in the hotel restaurant, which features a gorgeous infinity pool overlooking the mountains, and some seriously delicious food and drinks! If you can do it, definitely hire the Floating Villas, they are truly breathtaking and I was so amazed by their features and thoughtfulness when building this estate too! The lift going up and down adds an extra touch, but they have a pathway as well that you can take to see the surrounds and rest of the premises. They also offer a space that's perfect for meditation or even just getting your creative juices going! I was travelling solo so I hired the cabin Villas however after personally meeting with Fajar one night, he so kindly offered me an upgrade to the Floating Villa, which I felt like an absolute QUEEN in! The bed was super comfy, the upstairs features a tranquil meditation spot/additional bed which allows for 4 guests in the villa in total. The balcony is the perfect way to watch the sunrise in the morning and the sunset too! I could go on and on but it's just something you need to experience for yourself. Most people visit Munduk for the day to visit waterfalls etc but it's honestly worth staying and visiting the lakes below as well as the waterfalls and activities too like ATV.

Honestly, nothing even comes to mind. And I can't say that about a lot of places! Too hard to fault!

The staff is superb!!! We went for our honeymoon celebration & it was the perfect ambience to celebrate it🤍 The facilities are amazing😀 We regret not having stayed longer and taken a jungle tour. The massage session has been the most relaxed in my life 😍 and I have been to many many, trust me. They always keep the towels covering your breasts and keep their massage to an appropriate limit. The view from the spa is beyond our expectations. WOW. We took the couple’s one. Food exquisite! Best nasi gorang we had in Bali. Everything fresh, served fast, beautifully plated & delicious!! Next time we stay at the floating villa which would have been a dream.

Constructive feedback: we stayed at the jungle cabin & we highly recommend to simply cover the floor drain of the bathroom floor near the toilet forever & ever because it doesn’t bring anything positive, except a bad smell ocassionally. We placed the trash can on top & it helped. Second just to change all towels to a beige/sand color, because I know white can be difficult to always maintain. Third we are super glad to have had a dehumidifier, but we highly recommend to have bigger dehumidifiers available upon request for the rooms, specialty the jungle rooms because for the size of the room, the small one does not suffice.

A truly magical escape in the heart of Munduk Our stay at Munduk Heaven Luxury Villas was absolutely unforgettable. Nestled in the highlands of Munduk, the location is simply breathtaking – the views are out of this world, and every angle feels like a scene from a dream. The architecture and design of the villas are elegant and exclusive, blending beautifully with the natural surroundings. Every detail has been thoughtfully created – it's not just a place to stay, it's an experience. The restaurant is stunning, the food is delicious and full of flavour, and the staff are genuinely kind and attentive. We also had the chance to enjoy a cultural experience organized by the hotel, and it was one of the highlights of our trip – authentic, inspiring, and truly heartwarming. Munduk Heaven more than lives up to its name – it really is a little piece of heaven. We loved every moment and can only say wonderful things about this place.

The only thing we felt could be improved was the cleanliness. While the overall experience was wonderful, we did notice that some areas in the villa – such as the furniture, taps, and bathroom fixtures – were not as clean as expected. A few of the pillows and towels were worn or had frayed edges. These details slightly took away from the otherwise luxurious atmosphere. At a place of this standard, we believe cleanliness should be a top priority. We share this as a gentle suggestion, as everything else – from the views to the hospitality – was truly outstanding. With more attention to this aspect, the experience could easily be flawless.

Unique location. Great views. Nice people. Excellent coffee (Munduk coffee is really wonderful). Very generous size and design of the "tree top" villa. Very helpful concierges, very friendly staff. Depressing restaurant (atmosphere), food preparation amateurish. Not bad, just disappointing. Maybe lacking dedication on the supervisor level. A stay of two nights is too short, five nights are maybe too long. Very nice massages at the spa with the best view ever. We got a great recommendation from the front desk staff regarding driver/tour guide. We spent two wonderful days with Wayan going to Sekumpul waterfalls, Tambligan lake, Jatiluwih, Batukun temple, Gianyar and finally Ubbud.

The restaurant is the weak point. Atmosphere like a tourist trap. Solution: Eat in your villa!

We spent our anniversary in what felt like luxury above the clouds. From the moment we arrived, the calming views into the valley and toward Mount Batukaru set a different pace, unhurried and quiet. We stayed in the floating villa, which is very spacious and thoughtfully designed. The hot tub in the room was a perfect way to end the day. But most of all, it was the everchanging valley that made this place special. Whether in full sunshine or when the clouds drifted in to linger over the jungle, the summit of Mount Batukaru would appear and disappear again. One afternoon, we lay in bed for two hours just watching that quiet play of nature. The restaurant, Kaki Langit, lived up to its name. Like dining at the foot of the sky. The food was good, and one evening there was a live band. Not the loud, distracting kind, but warm music that felt like good company. Staff were consistently helpful without ever feeling intrusive, which I really appreciated. A place we’d gladly return to when we need time to slow down and just watch the clouds drift by.

If I had to mention anything, just to make it perfect, I’d suggest paying attention to the colour of the lightbulbs in the room. Some were cool white, which took a little away from the warm atmosphere at night. But this is me being picky.

Amazing location, food and staff

We had a rat in our room on 1st night and the pool was out of use for maintenance.

Absolutely stunning floating villa. It was very spacious and the view was incredible. It was even greater than we saw on the pictures beforehand. We really liked the jaccuzzi after a long day of hiking to waterfalls. The breakfast was delicious, same as the diner. Stunning view over de area from the restaurant area, even watched the sunset from up here.On our last night we did the hicachi diner with live cook, that was amazing as well. Really fun and tasteful! Also went to the spa for a massage, which was great as well. The staff is the atmost friendly, we really loved them. In sum, the floating villa and this resort will be 100% worth your money and I can recommend it to everyone. Defenitely come back here when visiting Munduk.

The accommodations were top-notch. The staff was very attentive and responsive to our every question and need. The complementary 15 minute massage was a nice touch. They even surprised us with flowers in the bathtub and a fun anniversary welcome.

There is nothing I didn’t like about the property, though it would be nice if they had a welcome folder in the room explaining the amenities such as how to use the coffee maker (you would think it was common sense…) and access to the restaurant menu.

This place is absolutely gorgeous. We booked 2 floating villas for us and our 2 teenagers and we all loved the place. Wonderful staff, awesome view from the restaurant/bar/ swimming pool. The restaurant is very convenient for dinner and we ate quite well. We even had an Hitachi night. Grab is not available in the region but the hotel managed to find us a driver who drove us around in all the places we wanted to visit.

If you do not have a car like us and plan to spend a few nights there it can be an issue as the place is quite remote and you will need a driver.
