Both mornings of our stay we were up early, so we had breakfast in Santiago de Compostela. But breakfast was available at the Casa. In fact, Sofia did everything she could to make our stay terrific, and her recommendations for a nice supper in a local Santiago neighborhood were excellent. In addition to seeing Santiago, we took side trips to Cape Finisterre and La Coruna. Plenty of time for both. The Casa is in a rural area just outside Santiago, close enough to reach the city center in short order, but remote enough to enjoy the peace and green setting. On the morning of our departure to Porto, we went into Santiago early and visited the Market. All the fresh fish, produce, breads, pastries, and meats you can imagine. Terrific atmosphere, with kids lined up on the sidewalk on their way to school. Reminder to US bound travelers -- you can take well-wrapped cheese from Spain through US customs, but no meats.

Can't think of anything.

Having the rural feel but just outside of Santiago de Compostela was an awesome experience. We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast both mornings and were fortunate to have dinner one evening. Fantastic food and value! Our room also had a view of the valley which was beautiful. Sophie and the team were so attentive and made us feel right at home in her grandparents farm home! Sophie offered local suggestions for dining and attractions and when we left, she even offered for us to reach out for suggestions in other areas of our travels!

Nothing at all!

Beautiful house, spacious room, comfortable bed, good parking, fabulous dinners and breakfast, the family who own and run their converted farmhouse are just lovely. Not far at all from Santiago de Compostela, an easy 20 minute bus ride from right outside the hotel, the owner giving us the clearest possible information to get there and back. This place is so lovely I am reluctant to share it as I want to keep it a special secret! We are on a trip across northern Spain and have stayed in 5 properties so far, this is by far the best. If you want a bit of real Galicia then stay here. And, amazing value for money 😊

The owners of the hotel could not have been more helpful. We had not realised that you could pre-order a meal for the evening as long as they knew in advance. When we missed the bus to take us back into Santiago De Compostela for the evening we were a little despairing , not knowing what we could do, however the owners of the hotel did all they could to give us what turned out to be a lovely evening, We had drinks in the garden and then we were even able to have a meal there as they were already catering for a group of people who had finished the Camino Way that day, they just made sure they catered for us as well. The brother and sister who run the hotel really do everything they can to ensure that your stay is comfortable, welcoming and the best it can be,

It was all good.

The house is in the outskirts of Santiago, surrounded by countryside. There is a bus into the city centre but we drove in and parked without difficulty. It is a beautiful old converted farmhouse retaining lots of original features. We ate excellent breakfasts and evening meals. They catered for gluten free dietary needs brilliantly. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. Would thoroughly recommend.

We were truly charmed by the warmth of the staff — Sofia and Isabel made us feel so at home, wrapping us in genuine hospitality. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, and the location, set in picturesque countryside with magical sunrises, was a real bonus for us. That said, if you’re travelling without a car, do keep in mind that you’ll need to rely on the local bus service, which runs once an hour, to get into town or taxi (Cabify).

Nice heritage building. Rural location so very peaceful. Enjoyable breakfast.

We missed the message from the proprietor so our bus trip into Santiago for dinner was fairly stressful as there was no bus station as such there with an hourly bus that finished fairly early. The property is quite remote. The gravel driveway was challenging at the entrance on a motorcycle even at walking pace but manageable with care.

I loved the authenticity of the property. It felt like a country escape, which is exactly what I needed after completing the camino. The room was wonderful, the staff expressively attentive and professional, always there to help.

It would have been great if there was a mini bar fridge in the room. But that didn't take away from my expectations!
