We were a group of 4 friends walking along the Portuguese Camino and stayed in the Hotel Conchieros for a couple of nights at the end in Santiago. The hotel is very nice and clean and comfortable, and only about a 10 - 15 minute easy walk from the Cathedral and the historic downtown area. The breakfast was only just ok - I would recommend going across the street to the nearby cafe for a better breakfast value. However, the staff were all very helpful in receiving our luggage transfer and calling a taxi in the morning to get to the bus station - very helpful when my Spanish is very limited. All in all, a good place to stay that is close enough but also a bit removed from the busy downtown tourist & peregrino activity.

The road outside, even though not a main road, gets quite a bit of traffic, but because it’s on the outskirts of town (0.65 miles to the cathedral) it’s nowhere near as loud as some other busier roads closer to town, the footfall going passed the hotel is a lot quieter here than in town as well, which is a big bonus.

Love the staff and the location. Great Tabac coffee shop across the street either yummy coffee and breakfast at a much more reasonable cost than the cafes in city center. Two grocery stores one on each end of the block as well as produce markets. The bus stop for the airport is also nearby.

It would have been nice to have a small refrigerator.

room amenities were complete and finally we found a place with a good airdryer! bed comfortable, bathroom wide and clean with all necessary amenities. the hotel it is not far from the centre and easy to walk, at the same time for us that we had a car , it was convenient for parking too. we did not try the breakfast, so we are not able to say if it was good or not! small and cozy it is a nice modern hotel

Everything about the hotel was great except the location. It was just too far from the old city and the Cathedral. I moved to another hotel near the city for the same or less cost.

The advertisement includes an inaccurate estimated time to the central city. I walked about 30kms the day I arrived with a 20 pound backpack that seemed like it weighed much more after that distance. More accurately, the estimate should be a range for fast vs slow walkers and those with or without backpacks. Let's say 15 to 30 minutes. It's a shame since it's a nice new hotel.

Excellent location , on the Camino entrance pathway into Santiago , just far enough from the busy city Centro . The staff were excellent , thank you

Room entrance vestibules adjacent , other non considerate guests returning to room noisy . Not hotel fault, suggest maybe signs requesting “ quite space - after hours”

Very modern and clean, appears recently opened or renovated, comfortable bed, nice bathroom, decent breakfast (nothing spectacular but good for the price and good selection of teas). I had a room on the 3rd floor, which meant I had a view of the neighbourhood and park, not just the backyard and neighbouring building. So my tip would be to ask for a room on a higher floor. Good location close to the historic old town with a supermarket and several bars and cafés nearby.

Our only concerns were the TV was too small and no English language available, so couldn’t use. Also too warm in room after setting temp down, and no fan flow. Receptionist was excellent in getting us amenities and adjusted room temp, but system changed back to heat soon after.

The hotel is located perfectly. There is a supermarket nearby. The room was clean and cozy. The linens were new and clean. There is a nice public area in a garden with chairs where I could relax and rest. The personnel was very friendly and hospitable. Thank you!

The receptionist was not always available, and when I had some questions or help, I had to look and wait for him. When I arrived I couldn’t get in since the door was locked on a coded lock. I had to wait for a guest coming out in order to get it.

Very close to the cathedral, confortable walking distance. We booked for one night and decided to stay another and staff managed to acommodate us. Clean room, spacious bathroom, comfortable bed.

Our room was in the ground floor, just besides the reception desk/ entrance, so you hear everyone getting in and out and in the morning it can get a bit noisy. We woke up early so it wasn’t that much of a problem, but if you want to sleep in, chose a room in another floor.
