Location is good, centre of town. We had a good room, very nicely furnished and good ensuite. It is a disabled access room so there is additional room to manoeuvre around the room. Lovely amenities, clean and great art deco style renovation to the entire building both inside and out. Good parking at the rear.

Our room was at ground level for disabled access but could only be entered from the street. The bed is queen size. We would have preferred it to be king size for the room. The windows to the street only had night time curtains so there was no privacy to the street if they were open. The room was too dark with the curtains closed. Some venetian blinds would be an good improvement to the room and internal access (which was exclusively for staff) would have been preferable. Downside was the bar and restaurant were closed on the Monday night we stayed.

This property was an absolute gem . An amazing dog friendly room . The hotel is beautifully appointed as was our room . The food truly deserves 5 stars not your normal pub food . It was truly a boutique hotel. A special shout out to Mandy who made us feel so welcome and went the extra mile when we checked out and left essential medication in our room also thank you Tim. Do yourself a favour this hotel is just a truly wonderful experience and thank you for making our fur baby so welcome. .

We have stayed at this hotel before and were happy to return for our 2nd visit. The boutique hotel rooms are exceptional.

The menu in the restaurant is “strange”. It seems like the chef is just trying too hard. The mixture of ingredients in the dishes are just over the top. It’s Tenterfield; keep it simple. By all means just because you’re in Tenterfield doesn’t mean you have to cook basic food, but even as an example; the only bread offering on the menu was garlic bread that was stuffed with all manner of things. We asked the waiter could we just get plain garlic bread, or even just a plain dinner roll. No was the answer. The chef only does his/her elaborate stuffed garlic bread. Tough luck if you don’t like the stuffing mixes. Look at Bowral as an example- another very nice regional town where the chefs “get it”.

The hotel has been refurbished to a quality usually only seen in top city hotels, it was absolutely first class and a lovely stay. The bar and food options were great for a casual dinner. The room we had at the back of the hotel was very quiet, we couldn't hear anything from the road or other guests.

Minor issue - some kind of cafeteria service in the morning. The town is very quiet. There was great coffee across the road, but only the most basic breakfast options before 8am in the town, and apparently nothing in the hotel before 9am when we departed.

Love the decor and art deco vibe. Large well appointed rooms with stylish ensuites. Location is central but double glazing means it is whisper quiet. Interesting dinner menu and wine list with attentive service and in winter the open fire is a bonus.

Wireless screen mirroring would be a good addition for streaming shows ( Chrome casting etc). Guess a Smart TV would be required.

This is a beautiful hotel. The decor is excellent and very comfortable.

We booked a Sunday night and turned up to find the hotel closed up. To their credit, the booking was made late in the day and when we called a number on the door, the manager was there within 10 minutes and checked us in. We didn’t have access to the restaurant or bar but we did have the hotel to ourselves which was pretty special.

Great experience staying in in an old Hotel. One could imagine what it was like in the past , but with a little bit more comport. we had dinner there. and the chief was one of the best. everything had the most wonderful flavors. Would go again just for the dinner.

What a find. Beautiful boutique hotel in the centre of town. The room was beautifully decorated, warm and cosy country hotel. Walkable distance to coffee shops and restaurants, however we ate at the hotel and did not disappoint.

Nothing, wished we could have stayed another night.

Tables in the restaurant very small, seats a bit uncomfortable The noise of the aircon units on the side of the building. Only the first night though

Property provided pet friendly accommodation which was perfect as we’re traveling with our 9 year old pet cat. The manager was extremely helpful showing me the room and best place to park. Beautiful products in the bathroom and everything was clean and accommodating. Great location for disabled people as access and facilities are all well thought out and installed. Perfectly placed to walk to shops and cafes.

Need to park on the Main Street but there are spots almost outside the room
