Good location close to Douay train station (and the train reaches the centre of Orsières in 4 minutes). There is a noisy road close to the gîte, but the windows of our room were facing the river (which was also noisy... but in the nice way :). Good restaurant, specializing in beef, but serving also some Swiss classics like fondue. Nice staff, speaking English a little bit.

Strange bathroom solution (toilet, washbasin and shower- each one separately and the shower with glass door, located in front ot the mirror).

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The property and my room were warm - almost too warm! The location, by the main road to the Grand St Bernard pass, was busy but I didn't hear it from the room. It made access to the gite extremely convenient and just 90 mins or so from Geneva. If you don't care about nightlife, it makes a great base for the 4 valleys being just 10 mins from Le Chable gondola. For dinner, the restaurant was very nice serving various steaks and grilled meat along with some alpine classics. The room was basic but nicely finished with a good shower and modern fittings. I was never cold! Free parking right outside the front door. Situated in a deep valley directly next to a bubbling stream.

The room was smaller than expected. It didn't include any facilities for drinks like a fridge or kettle. The river was actually so loud it might bother you if things like that affect your sleep. Switzerland is expensive these days! But that isn't the fault if this gite,

This was the starting point for my walk on the Via Francegina in Italy. Took the train to Osieres and the bus to Great St. Bernard Pass and immediately started walking down the Italian side. Dinner was very good. Although it was rather expensive I did have leftovers for lunch the next day.

We stayed at La Catogne after planning last minute to do some skiing in Verbier. La Catogne was a short drive away from the La Chable list, which is very convenient. The hotel rooms are simple but comfortable. The staff is very nice. The restaurant was a winner. We had originally only planned to eat there our first night but the food and service were excellent, so we ate their both nights. It is a bit off the beaten path, but made a great home base for Verbier skiing.

Hand soap in the room would be nice. Otherwise, everything was very good!

Very nice Inn. Looking good from both inside and outisde, placed just by the river which you can hear through your window. At the same time placed just by the nice mountain road to ride. The room was big, staf was helpful and the restaurdant served good food so I did not have to go anywhere further.

Good location on the Via Francigena. The restaurant experience was very good. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

The listing mentions single or double beds but staff confirmed they had no double beds at all in the place. No problem sleeping in single bed but description is misleading. Also, they do not provide hand soap. I asked residents and they said it’s not acceptable for that kind of place.

very friendly staff. super clean. the bed was comfortable. the room was warm. the restaurant downstairs was very tasty and good menu too.

the shower was super tiny. the door of the toilet was a bit hard to lock.

The food was incredible! The restaurant staff didn’t speak English but we had fun using the translate ap on my phone. They were very patient and some of our transactions were very comical

My son is very tall and the bed was a little short for him but that’s the case most places we go.

Super friendly staff and a quaint little B&B. Short drive to Le Chable ski lifts. Ski boots drying and ski store. Dinner menu is very good, v meaty and not cheap but this is Switzerland!

It was easy to get to

The room was too far from the main part of the building so the WiFi didn’t work most of the time. And the smell of cigarette smoke from the outdoor dining area wafts in the direction of the room.
