A very pleasant stay in the heart of a historic town. The hotel exceeded our expectations – from the beginning, the staff was kind and attentive, taking great care of us throughout our stay. Breakfast was excellent, varied, and high-quality. The room was air-conditioned, with a comfortable non-separated double bed and a modern, clean bathroom – truly comfortable and well-maintained. A big highlight was the private wellness area, which offers complete privacy and peace for relaxation. For €25 per person for 2.5 hours, you get access to two saunas, a jacuzzi, and a cozy relaxation zone. We thoroughly enjoyed it – a perfect way to unwind. The location is great, just a short walk from landmarks like Ptuj Castle and the town center. Even during the peak season, we had no issues with parking – the hotel provides several parking spots right in front. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for comfortable accommodation with excellent service and a relaxing atmosphere.

We were accommodated on the top floor, where the only window in the room was quite small and positioned high above eye level. While there technically was a view, it wasn't really usable unless standing directly under it. For guests planning to spend more time in the room, the lack of natural light and outside visibility might feel limiting.

When we checked in, Sacha was very informative of where to park our car, and gave us a map to ensure we knew where to go. Check in was very informative , including restaurant recommendations for the evening. We also paid to do the wine tasting experience which we would highly recommend. There was only one member of staff working, and they were still able to discuss the wines in detail, provided some history of the wine regions and we had time for a chat about different parts of Slovenia we hadn’t been to yet. Amazing service, very friendly, approachable and knowledgeable.

Great location in the centre of town. It wasn't busy but the excellent receptionists seemed to cover a multiple of roles, giving us time and making some good recommendations about food and the dangers of early closing on a Sunday! Very nice breakfast with pretty much everything you'd need. Comfy beds.

Here's hoping the hotel is in the middle of a program of upgrading. Some aspects were great like the beds but other areas, especially the public zones, felt rather tired.

There's definitely something magic about this place. Perhaps, because it's said to be located in the place of an ancient Mithraism shrine :) It has a very light, relaxing, cosy atmosphere. Rooms are comfortable and give you the vibe of a well-maintained family villa. I absolutely loved the selection of pillows, all feather-light. And it's the rare case for the hotel accommodation where pictures on the walls are worth your attention. Service is friendly and flexible. It's lovely when staff is ready to accommodate guests' little requests. Yes, and the location is top. 5 minutes walk to the castle and also located in the oldest street in town. I definitely plan to be back to enjoy the place, including waking up and listening to the birds singing in the hotel's little garden and meditating over a cup of coffee in their own historical cafe :)

One can wish to have a bigger shower cabin in the bathroom but it's a minor thing as long as it was fully functional :)

I had a fantastic experience at this hotel. The location in the Old Town area is perfect—close to everything, yet peaceful and charming. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, always making sure I felt welcome. The beds were very comfortable, and the interior of the hotel was tastefully designed with a cozy, stylish feel. One of the highlights was the beautiful garden—such a lovely place to relax. I would definitely stay here again!

Very nice environment and surroundings of the hotel, romantic location under the castle in the city center. Pleasant environment of the hotel, seating on the indoor terrace. Clean and air conditioned rooms, well equipped. Friendly, helpful and accommodating staff, if we ever visit this area again I will choose this hotel again.

The only small drawback is the limited parking options in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. There are only a few spots near the hotel, with additional parking further away from the hotel in the parking lot under the castle.

Very friendly front desk and bar employees. I was impressed to find slippers in my room (it is a 3 star property). And also service from the bar was very friendly and attentive, they brought me drinks to the interior courtyard which is very pleasant. Hotel is very charming and tries to bring you back in time and the classical music playing is very nice touch. Room has large bathroom.

Wi-Fi was not working in the room and speed was quite slow. I was also missing a bottle of water or minibar since the fridge was in the room. Some of the equipment in the room was not working (safe box and telephone) which are a minor inconvenience. And also room was on the smaller side but the positive side is that the bathroom was large.

What a wonderful very relaxing hotel. Ptuj and the hotel were so full of character. Local restaurants were great and so we're some of the bars. Traffic in the old town was minimal . Walking around the lake was long but easy and took you to some delightful village and bars

Three nights is probably the maximum you want to stay, unless you really like relaxing around in bars and cafés.

Beautiful rooms, perfect breakfast (freshly cooked eggs based on your order). The staff is super nice and speaks perfect English. The location is in the heart of the old town.

If close-by parking is full, you’ll need to park 500 m away or use the public parking. No issue for us - we travel light and the parking by the castle was super convenient - but this might be a minus for some people.
