The position over looking the sea, and a big verandah which was a bonus. Unfortunately the step out was dangerously too high. The balustrade in the front had rotted off and unsafe. The bedroom door was difficult to open from inside and banged when shutting.we were in room 424

Dinner, we shared a starter which was excellent. Mussels My husband steak meal was good and he enjoyed it. I ordered the risotto, it was almost uneatable, I should have sent it back, it was a solid mass of rice, I have enjoyed risotto many times over the years but not last night. The price was high and we would expect better.

The staff were amazing, really couldn’t ask for a better team to be looking after us! Great location from the town and the spa was lovely and relaxing! I had a treatment while I was there and it was honestly one of the best massages I’ve ever had! Would definitely visit again and would recommend!

A little dated in decor but still lovely! The food wasn’t bad but wasn’t great either I had the burger when we arrived and it was rather dry and tough however my other half had the pork belly and said it was really nice! The earlier you arrive for breakfast the better as when we went down Saturday morning around 8:45 and everything was either a little over cooked or mushy as it’s a buffet style but when we went down the Sunday morning at 8:15 everything seemed a lot crispier and fresh and was a lot nicer!

The location was great, and the view from my room of the Sea was lovely. The majority of the staff were excellent and very helpful, especially the Receptionists and Breakfast staff.

One evening shift staff member in Bistro was very unhelpful and didn't show any interest in the needs of the individual. But all the other staff were fantastic.

Wonderful sea views, lovely seaside hotel. I had a beautiful room, comfortable bed. I stayed 2 nights so had 2 breakfasts. I came down to breakfast at 9am botn days. The first morning the food was pretty dire, dried out over heated food that was almost unpalatable, the 2nd morning it was freshly cooked and delicious. Unfortunately the young staff couldn’t be bothered either morning

Over priced under whelming food in the bar. Younger members of staff uninterested in serving customers. Maybe the young staff are seasonal workers in school holidays but they are completely uninterested in the customers, getting someone to take my order or even acknowledge me was an uphill task. This was the same whether at breakfast or in the evening.

Pre-Xmas offer, excellent location, lovely sea view. Staff were very friendly & welcoming! The room was slightly too warm for my liking, but that's my personal choice. Waking up to a sunrise over the calm sea was perfect! Would love to stay again, but normal prices are outside our overnight budget!

No sausages for breakfast! I'm coeliac, so strictly gluten free, good breakfast, but with so many gluten-free sausages available at competitive prices, I was disappointed this wasn't catered for. Other places we've stayed in Looe & elsewhere use gluten-free sausages for everyone as you can't tell the difference!

I really liked the pool, the location of the hotel and the views from the bar area and the restaurant/breakfast room. I liked its proximity to lovely coastal walks. From the hotel is it very straightforward to join the South West Coast Path and I had a great day walking from Looe to Polperro and back, stopping off at Talland Bay for the scenery and food/drink at the cafe along the way.

I didn't opt for a sea view room, as the pricing structure made it comparatively very expensive for a solo traveller.

The hotel needs some work the males toilet near the reception had excrement on the walls. It was very dirty. Look like it hadn’t been clean for months. The bed in our room were two beds pushed together which made it very uncomfortable in the middle. The ceilings by reception had all water damage looked very tattered also carpets very dirty on the stairs and landing. I think the whole place just needs a really good cleanup. The showers are awful trying to adjust the hot and cold in the bath, so you can have a shower, they would be better off putting a shower bar in. They’re not expensive. Just more easier to control. It was quite expensive for one night.

The hotel is situated in an excellent location overlooking Looe. Although my room was at the side and a little noisy it was very comfortable All the staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was generous and in the dining room overlooking the bay and the Cornwall coast Good indoor and outside public spaces for relaxation and a drink / meal Free car parking

My room was adjacent to the kitchen extractor and hence a bit noisy with the window open. So another time I would try to book a different room but I would be OK with it again, if necessary Public area carpets could do with being replaced

Excellent location close to the water's edge (rocks). Sea view room had a superb view across the bay towars the East - we watched the surise every morning. Adjacent private parking (long private layby) was good to have - the shore road gets very busy at times.

The staffing was haphazard - people 'not there', or not knowing what was going on. They'd lost our room key when we came to check in. Reception was unstaffed sometimes... The breakfast was supposed to run from 08:00 onwards, but it was after 8:15 when all the food items were finally put out (staffing again I'd guess). They they wanted another £2.50 for the fish options. The lounge area was really a bar with hard tables and chairs, not really condusive to a relaxed unwind at the end of the day.

Breakfast was very good. Plenty of choice.we were upgraded to a sea view room....spectacular views. Newly refurbished and very comfortable. Plenty of hanging space and drawers. Tea and coffee making with plenty of milk, and everything replenished daily. The staff were friendly and helpful. Dinners were very good.

Rather a long wait for dinner, and the second night the hotel was hosting a function, and it would have helped if we had been informed of its time so we could have avoided the crowd round our table.
