The hotel is in a truly fabulous location in the centre of this fantastic town. Despite this the bedroom was quiet and peaceful. The swimming pool is a bonus. The staff (especially Eric) were terrific.

Breakfast was poor (i.e hot food served very cold). Perhaps they should just stick to French breakfasts and avoid trying to please us Brits? Didn't like the fact that entry into Sarlat is complicated by bollards that prevent car access at peak periods. The car park for the hotel is fair walk (although Eric accompanied us and helped us with our luggage). The hotel stairs are a nightmare with luggage.

Le Petit Manoir was a beautiful ancient manor house, renovated tastefully in a French contemporary style while providing all the modern amenities required for a comfortable stay. The staff were welcoming and helpful, adding to the delightful ambiance of the hotel, which felt more like a home. Our room was exquisite with an exposed stone wall running the length of it with a large fireplace in the centre. The view over the old roofs of Sarlat added to the charm and uniqueness of this property. Breakfast had everything we could want and at the highest quality, often homemade. Quality sums up our stay in one of the most delightfully different hotels we have ever stayed in. This is a hotel that is an absolute must and we are looking forward to visiting again.

Beautiful hotel, I cannot fault a single aspect. The lady on reception, I think her name was Valerie, was so lovely, friendly and helpful. The room was gorgeous and well equipped, the bed was so comfortable, and despite being in central Sarlat it was so quiet at night. The air conditioning was a great perk in an old building, and the breakfast was very good. I would recommend this to every couple for a comfortable and romantic stay. We can't wait to come back!

If you have mobility issues the only downside would be a lot of stairs and no lift or nearby parking

The staff were wonderful especially Eric who supervises everything and for whom nothing is too much trouble. It's convenient that there is a parking garage nearby and staff meet you on the main road to help with luggage and finding the garage. The rooms are charming, very good bed linen.

Very common in French hotels and indeed homes, but I do wish there was a handbasin in the loo for hand washing, it's so unhygienic and also awkward also in the middle of the night to have to cross the room to find the bathroom without waking your partner.

This was my favourite place to stay in all of France! The staff were lovely and accommodating, our room was fantastic and had the best amenities. The location is very central with markets multiple times per week right outside the front doors. The pool was heated and an absolute highlight. A treasure of a place to be sure!

No on-site parking (multiple public carparks within walking distance however) No elevator (would be difficult for those with disabilities)

Le Petit Manoir is right in the middle of Sarlat la Caneda where there are excellent restaurants and shops. The hotel is beautiful inside and outside and will see many people taking pictures of it as they walk past. The front patio and hotel is gated with the front patio a nice place to relax amongst the beautiful flowers - the pool is small but warm. The rooms are very quiet despite being in the middle of town with thick stone walls and both a window and door blocking any noise. The road is closed to traffic after 11 am so when checking in park on the periphery of town and then walk to the hotel/check in to get the code for the private parking garage. The garage is about an 8 to 10 minute walk through town but easy to park once you figure out the location. Highly recommend Maison Lissajoux for breakfast. My favorite part of France and will definitely return to Le Petit Manoir.

Parking and finding the hotel prior to check-in was a little confusing but once checked in and found the private parking garage there were no problems.

Excellent property. Adored our room/ “Josephine Baker” everything about our stay was fabulous. The staff extremely helpful, nothing was a problem. The breakfast while a little expensive was exceptional and we would definitely return without question. The bed and linen was divine. Pool was an added bonus.

It was a bit tricky to find the car park even though we had a map it still wasn’t clear. A photo of the outside of the car park location would have been helpful as we are tourists.

Location: Perfect location right in the center of the town, easy walking distance to sites and restaurants. Although it was in a pedestrian area, our van was able to park just across to bring down our luggage. Breakfast: Excellent breakfast! The buffet selection was well-curated and of high quality. Room: Beautifully-designed rooms and thoughtful amenities. Comfortable beds and pillows. Everything was spotlessly clean, too. Staff and service: For us, the staff is the most valuable asset of the Manoir. Service was very personal. Everyone went the extra mile to make us feel comfortable and welcome. We were spoiled. :) From helping us with our many, heavy luggage, attending to our requests during breakfast, providing amazing assistance during a room service -- everything was done with a smile. Thank you so much to David and the rest of the team for making our stay memorable.

Nothing. I couldn't fault it, really.

This was the best accommodation of our entire trip. we stayed in the Collette room and had a beautiful view of the pool & courtyard. The room was so comfortable, beautifully decorated and the facilities were exceptional. The service was next level. Every single staff member we met was so very helpful & kind. And the breakfast….stunning! Organically sourced, freshly squeezed. Don’t look any further than this hotel when visiting Sarlat! Thank you to all the staff for making our stay unforgetable 💕

The most remarkable boutique hotel. Each room with its own unique interior. staff was vert friendly and competent. The restoration very impressively done. Although our stay was brief, the comfort gave us the feeling of being welcome. The hotel suited the midieval flavor of Sarlat. If you are anywhere near Sarlat, give yourself a treat and book a stay there.

You cannot improve upon perfection. :)
