Location near airport

Perhaps the hotel could provide a shuttle service to bus station and airport

It was super quiet, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was decent also. We enjoyed the hot tub in the pool.

The bathroom was poorly designed. In order to get to the toilet, you have to uncomfortably maneuver between the sink and then you have to close the bathroom door. I think they could’ve made the shower stall slightly smaller. It would also have been nice to have had a mini fridge.I don’t think anyone should serve bottled orange juice. It tasted worse than tang ever did. It was a little far from downtown, but that would not deter us from staying there again

The staff were pleasant especially the breakfast staff. They did an excellent job of the breakfast and keeping the breakfast area clean. I like the fact there was a shuttle to the airport although the staff did not tell us about it when we arrived but arranged it when we were leaving. The room was spacious and clean.

In other hotels I have stayed at if there is a room available before the official check in time I have been able to go to my room. I resented having to pay a lot extra for early checkin. If the rooms are available ( which it was) why not make it easier for people who may have arrived on an earlier flight or are arriving from a different location as we were. I felt it was a cash grab and only paid it because I did not want to sit in the lobby. If check in is 4:00 and you have to leave by 1:00 that is not even a 24 hour stay.

Upon checking in, i was asked to go to the other HI.,( inn/ suites), as an upgrade, which I did. Nice warm pool. Room big. Beds comfortable, english tv channels. Free Laundry services.Well, 20 pesos for soap, so not free.

Being asked for 450 pesos to check in a few hours early , but was able to use the pool . Standing then in a check in lane, freezing cold and wet for 20 minutes as they are very slow to check in people. (Ended up sick) Ran out of pool towels. Glass wine was 10.00. The window latch was broken so kept popping open. The blinds were misaligned so only opened half way. The breakfast was not very good. Cold and no sausage/bacon/ham , no cold cuts. Ran out of cottage cheese( one of the only thing I could eat without sugar). I wish I stayed at the HI Express, I've stayed 2x and it was 10/10, this place is 7/10.

I was upgraded to a room at the neighboring Holiday Inn & Suites Puerto Vallarta Marina & Golf down the street which included a complimentary breakfast. The breakfast buffet offered nice variety local and western options along with a made to order egg cooking station. Overall the meal was and thoroughly enjoyed. The staff were all very nice and professional. Most importantly, the room was well kept, very clean and the wonderful bedding made for an exceptionally comfortable nights rest before my morning flight. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again, next time I'm passing through Puerto Vallarta.

Although the view from the 8th floor overlooking the airport and mountains in the distance in the north was expansive, the property next door is basically a demo site and not very attractive. This is not Holiday Inn's fault and is a relatively minor nitpick, but still notable.

It’s too bad the breakfast was offered after I had to leave for the airport. It would be great if guests with early flights could get a bag breakfast like juice, boiled eggs, a muffin to go. I would have loved that. I loved the pool and hot tub but there were like 45 young Mexican guests in there having a party and pizza and no towels left so I showed up at a bad/crowded time unfortunately. The room was big, clean, comfortable and quite awesome .. loved it. Just wished there was a little fridge to store leftover food safely. The safe worked well but it was so high up and hard to read instructions… I could have used a stool to get up and put stuff in there.

A small fridge would have been awesome for storing food from restaurants or drinks/snacks. I would have liked a face cloth but did not see any. Fruits, muffins, or snacks at the lobby would be an added bonus. I would have like the option I get or buy a snack or meal or breakfast to go. The breakfast and shuttles were not available before my flight. I would have liked to eat and take the shuttle.

Great location, liked pool and hot tub. Helpful Staff! Made local important call for me when my phone couldn't connect.

Thought they offered transfer from airport, wasn't clear only TO airport!

The bedding was luxurious on very comfortable beds. The shower has very good pressure and is modern looking. The pool area is accommodating , with great beach towels, and a nice view. The highlight of my stay was the most fantastic breakfast buffet. It's impossible not to find something you like with such a variety. And it was all so tasty. Luggage caddy is available if you have more pieces to bring to your room or luggage storage is available at the front reception. The hotel is very clean and the atmosphere is welcoming. Free shuttle is available to the airport.

Breakfast an unbelievable daily buffet. Toilet Paper that is powder scented as it rolls. Dove toiletries. Clean and well designed small room for spaciousness.

If you’re in fear of crossing traffic on foot, you will need a ride or rental car. However, everything you need is across what felt like 8 lanes of traffic with multiple medians, groceries, cleaners, shops, food, golf, beach, services of all types. I was a pedestrian, with many others, but first time or two you feel like frogger.

The room was clean and spacious, and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast had lots of variety and was very good.

Upon arriving, the staff at the front told me I had to pay for the room, but I had booked and paid for the room before arriving. I had actually paid 5 months before for a non-refundable room. I was able to show my receipts, so after consultation with I assume a manager, they did not charge me again. I did not hand over any credit card and they did not insist on one for possible room damage like some hotels.
