This hotel was super clean and staff was nice. The room I booked is supposed to be for one person but me and my boyfriend were staying there together and we were more than comfortable. Definitely good amount of space, bed fit two people comfortably, bathroom was clean and good size, and there were enough places to put our bags/things. Parking was nice to have in the city- it is a little walk to the hotel from the parking lot but it was definitely much easier than having to go around the city to find/pay for parking everyday! Location was also a bonus.

I did not like the fact that we had to pay for breakfast knowing we would not be eating their breakfast. I understand that it is a hotel pricing thing so nothing against Chaves hotel but we knew we weren't going to eat there so it was a little annoying having to pay for it.

The renovated building was lovely.certainly the best Ibis we have stayed in anywhere. Central location easy parking on street. Staff were excellent. We completed a 6 day drive on the N2 road from Faro to Chaves and decided we needed 2 nights to relax. This hotel is amazing value and this ancient Roman spa town was worth staying in for sure.Be sure to check out the archaeological dig site in the town museum.

Nothing really although the breakfast could be improved without much trouble. Second morning though was better. Don't let this put you off.

The location in the old city centre near the river and bridge is great. The building is beautiful and fully restored, inside and out. Nice features are the glass floor elements in the breakfast room. Staff is friendly and helpfull. The room is nice, bathroom is spatious, beds are good.

Parking; you have to search around the area hoping for a paid public space somewhere. And yes, there is a bar but it's very small and not particularly inviting.

Excellent location area was very walkable with a lot of restaurants to chose from, your hotel was above and beyond excellent we only had time to stay 1 night but wish we could of stayed a week! Your options for breakfast were vantastic and a great bonus! Loved that you can see the old foundation and well. Would highly recommend your hotel and hopefully we will be back some day in the future

it’s extremely clean and comfortable for an ibis, first hotel on our tour with air con. plenty of restaurants and bars nearby or slum it at pizza hut across the street.

only thing lacking for me was the breakfast, bacon and eggs were cold both days and limited range of fruit otherwise plenty of continental options.

Modern, well maintained hotel. Rooms slightly small but perfectly acceptable. Amazing location in the centre of Chaves. Perfect for a few days off. We came by motorcycle and parked right in front of the hotel so cannot comment on parking.

Everything was great - very central, nice staff, nice room, good breakfast. The breakfast room has a cute little terrace outside - very nice! Great value!

Parking can be a challenge, but we knew that, so not really a complaint. There is free parking in town, if you are prepared to walk 5-10 minutes.

We went for a one night stay in Chaves and the hotel was everything we were after. The staff were all really friendly and the room, while not the biggest, overlooked the street and was quiet. The breakfast was also excellent and is available from quite early until late. I'd strongly recommend it.

Modern, stylish and well maintained building and facilities. In the city centre, surrounded by restaurants and small shops, but not too much hassle. Unbelievably quiet indoors, this hotel has the perfect combination of both city location and quiet rooms.

Unfortunately it doesn’t offer private parking, though there’s a parking lot nearby and scarce paid spaces surrounding the hotel.

Beautiful property with nice staff, good breakfast, well appointed rooms, and even some unique features such as archaeology. Reception staff was especially helpful and friendly.

We stayed a week and enjoyed everything about the property. But a week is probably too long of a stay in Chaves, although that’s not the property’s issue.
