Big, comfortable room, very solid breakfast options. The staff was also very friendly.

The windows are not very isolated, so you do hear the street noise. It didn't bother me, but maybe others might have an issue with that. The walls are also thin - you definitely hear your neighbors.

Superb hotel. Location excellent between 2 metro stations and just off a bus route. Loads of cafes and bars in the vicinity. Staff outstanding, helpful and a pleasure to talk with. In particular, on reception, Johansson and behind the bar, Alvaro. Both had a passion for their respective jobs and are a credit to the Motel One organisation. Rooms and bathroom excellent size and very clean. Will definitely book this hotel again.

Really nice hotel, very central, a few minutes walk from the plaza de España. Lovely staff and very quiet room as we were at the back of the hotel. Room was comfortable and clean,had really good sleep. Bar was really nice and relaxing. Didn’t have breakfast as there are loads of bars and cafes around the hotel.

Nothing apart from the Breakfast being expensive at €14. We decided not to have it. Cheaper to eat outside in the cafes and bars.

The place is small but extremely well thought out rool with everything a single traveller may need. Power sockets at the right place, tea coffee maker, comfortable bed, decent wash and toilets, even some mints in the room which gives a feeling of a personal touch evenwhen it is just advertised as a hostel. I believe the owners have given a lot of thought of how to make the guests comfortable in the small place and it really gives a pleasent feeling. I would go there again any time. They keep in touch with you before arrival and make thewhole experiece so relaxed and easy.

Everything good. Finding the reception is a bit tricky though, it is on the 4th floor.

Motel One Madrid is in a fantastic location with all attractions within walking distance. There are a large number of affordable restaurants near the hotel, as well as two self-service grocery stores. The hotel is very nicely decorated and the staff are extremely friendly. The rooms are much larger than you would expect from Motel One, and the cleanliness is impeccable. Plus, the rooms have a small fridge, which is not a typical feature of Motel One.

What could be improved is the soundproofing, as noise from nearby cafes reaches the rooms until around 1 am. Also, there are no carpets in the rooms, which I am used to in Motel One, and the duvet is very tightly tucked in, so it takes about five minutes to pull it out. I recommend placing it as in other hotels in the chain - folded on the bed. These are really minor quibbles, I always feel great at Motel One, like I'm at home.

Friendly staff. Perfect location, and it is easily accessible to public transport, supermarkets, restaurants, etc. . Comfortable and clean room, with elevator. I like the bed here; it's not too soft and not too hard for me. The open space is also very relaxing. I would highly recommend staying here. And if I get the chance in the future to return to Madrid, I will definitely stay here again.

water always splashes out of the sink; the button on the toilet is not that functional; no available drinkable water in the room. Other than that, it's great.

At least, a kettle and a mug for tea shouldn't be difficult for any hotel now.

Beautiful, quiet, modern hotel in the heart of Madrid. Comfy beds, super clean, good shower facilities, good lighting options inside the room; we were also happy with the terrace overlooking Madrid (not spectacular views but quite alright with the sunrise / sunset light!); small but important detail: surprise with balloons and a card from reception staff at the check-in (it was my husband’s bday trip..))

The size of the room I thought was gonna be bigger or with another (living?) room if one wakes up earlier not to wake up the other. No coffee machine/ kettle/ water (nothing at all, in fact..)) in the room; No light at all on the terrace. The price for this type of the room could’ve been lower, imo.

We enjoyed the various options available at breakfast and quality of the food. The room was comfortable, in very good condition and clean. Appreciated the air conditioning. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel is in an excellent location, being within walking distance of the centre and close to public transport options.

This hotel is very central and walkable distance to Plaza de Espana. To be honest you can walk to most areas on a beautiful day and if you are not in a rush (i.e. Chueca, Sol, Plaza Mayor, Park de El Retiro etc.) The room is not very so I would stay there for longer than a couple of nights, especially if you are with two. However, the room had an arm-chair, a little fridge and the beds are reasonable comfortable. My room didn't have a great view and was quite dark. The bathroom is decent size, but the water pressure is not great. I personally decided to skip breakfast as I opted for a heavier lunch/dinner outside and tasting the beautiful Spanish Cuisine. If you decide to stay, I would strongly recommend having a coffee / breakfast or even lunch at Punto Kafe (less than 5min walk from the hotel) - thank me later. Check out - you can ask to check out until 1pm. They don't do later unfortunately, but they do have the ability to store your luggage until you need them back.

Not great water pressure from the showers and the room felt a bit overpriced, but then again, I'm sure its inflated due to the great location. I would definitely stay again.
