We found Hotel Txoko easily and were welcomed by kind, friendly host who also took our cases down the steep stairs on departure. Our room was lovely and big with good air conditioning, and the USP was the massive bacony- like another room! We enjoyed having our "sunshine breakfasts" out there which were delivered at a requested time. We enjoyed swimming at the local large, clean beach, exploring, and eating and drinking at some fab restaurants, including some classics such as Moules Marinieres. The local countryside is pretty and accessible, for example climbing "Larrun" in the nearly Pyrenees.

Hotel Txoko is a hidden gem. The single door is located between 2 bars, but once you enter you know you’re in a special place. It’s clean, comfortable and modern while maintaining the charm of an old hotel. Restaurants and shopping are right out the door, the beach is a half-block away and the church is a block away. My room was spacious with a large patio and 2 twin beds. Check-in and check-out was easy and efficient and the guys were friendly and helpful. A modest breakfast was delivered to my room at the scheduled time. I would definitely stay here again.

There was nothing I didn’t like about the property.

The hotel is very well located just a block from the beach, and the room we had got a small terrace which was nice. The beds were comfortable and it had a coffee machine in the room and free water that was cooled down was ready for you in the mini fridge. The room has a nice size and the staff was excellent

Its impossible to get there by car, and were missing more info about where to park to avoid the problems to get there. Also there is no elevator from the ground floor to the first floor, so you have to carry suitcases up and from there its an elevator that takes you further up.

Our room [no 8] was on the second floor. It had a window overlooking the street which was great. The room was a good size. It included a "Nespresso"-type coffee maker which we liked, and a little fridge. Sound proofing was good and we weren't disturbed by activities in the street. The hotel is situated close to lots of restaurants, and 50 metres from the sea wall and wonderful promenade. Breakfast was simple but the bread and croissants were fresh, as was the orange juice. Served by a cheerful member of staff [Bastian]. We were made to feel welcome by the staff. Nothing was too much trouble for Emma and Bastian. They were helpful and friendly.

There are stairs from the entrance to the reception on the first floor. This could be tricky if you have heavy luggage.

The Hotel is right in the middle of the restaurant area, adjacent to the beach and a few hundred metres from the main shops. The Hotel is really full of character and we received a very warm welcome. Even though our room overlooked a busy street full of diners the double glazing made the room nice and quiet.

The Hotel is above a restaurant which threw us a bit in trying to find it. A comment in the description "above Restaurant ????" would have helped.

It's such a cute hotel, right in the center of the town. It has a lot of character and the rooms are clean, spacious and with lots of natural light. Room number 9, which we got upgraded to because we travelled very off season, will give you the best terrace and views.

Not that I didn't like it, but it's important to take into account that while there is an elevator in th building it doesn't cover the first set of very steep stairs that will make the hotel not super accesible to clients with reduced mobility

We didn’t have breakfast but the location was wonderful. A very short walk to the beach and many restaurants. The staff went out of their way to accommodate us. We received a late checkout when requested. They provided beach towels. Benoit and Bastian were very friendly and helpful. We like that there was aircon as it was very hot when we were there.

Luxurious larger rooms many with balconies (almost a sea view). Great high tech TV capable of casting content from your phone. Comfortable large beds. Roomy bathroom. Central location within busy street packed with restaurants and just metres from big beach.

Due to central town location within small streets there is no parking -overnight parking is in Old Port secure parking for €27 per 24 hours.

Small, cosy and very well kept hotel located a couple of minutes in one direction from the beautiful clean beach and a couple of minutes in the other direction from the lovely old town of St Jean de Luz. Breakfast on our terrace was delightful and excellent quality. Madame Claudette is so kind and helpful and will do everything to make your stay a good one. Towels, coffee, biscuits etc all replaced every day, and a comfortable bed. We enjoyed our stay very much and hope to return!

Fabulous location for beach and restaurants. Felt safe, lovely room, nice bathroom, great terrace. Just a lovely boutique hotel (nine rooms) in a great part of St Jean de Luz to explore. Highly recommend. Staff were helpful with good dining recommendations too. Coffee, tea and water bottles provided. Very clean.

I didn’t use it but the area to have breakfast/sit in the common space was not so inviting.
