I booked this hotel for a rest with my daughter during the holidays. It is a beautiful hotel with a long history. It was founded in 1909 and has retained its identity, imbued with the entire history of France, from royalty to the present day. The room is typically French small, but has all the facilities for a stay including a very comfortable bed. We ordered breakfast in the room and they brought us very fresh and delicious pastries, starting with fresh baguettes in various types, croissants, and other famous French buns. Even if we had no desire to eat, it was impossible not to be tempted. :)) We had dinner at the restaurant and also celebrated my birthday. The cuisine exceeded my expectations, with very refined and beautifully presented dishes. And most importantly - it was delicious! Thank you very much to the chef! Used the sauna as well, it was mostly very quiet and we were able to relax. In front of the hotel is Grand beach, a lovely bay, and a shore for swimming and relaxing.

In our room on the 3rd floor the toiletries which are lovely are in containers attached to the bathroom walls. They are on a pump system which was a nightmare to work. Mid shower I had to ring housekeeping to show me what I was doing wrong. The housekeeper was delightful but she had the same problem and couldn’t get any shampoo etc out of the bottle. Within minutes she’d arrange 3 new freestanding bottles to be brought to the room . Finally a decent shower.

Amazing hotel in a perfect location in the charming town of St Jean de Luz. We had three rooms for our large family and everyone had a beautiful room with ocean views. The rooms were impeccably cleaned every day with fresh Nespresso coffee, waters and treats. The restaurant dinner was excellent. The staff were extremely helpful when we asked to change one room type due to a booking error on my part. Two members of our party were in their 80s and the hotel and location were perfect for their mobility challenges.

For our older family members, the hotel tub was very difficult to step into. If needed, I would recommend asking for a room that has a step in shower. Also, there are no hotel beach loungers despite being directly on the beach. We purchased beach chairs at a local shop for our parents so they could enjoy the beach.

Property is stunning, the surroundings are breathless and so is the beach view. The two Silvias at the reception desk were courteous, helpful and friendly. The only person we found unfriendly was our sever on the patio, Batiste, he didn’t seem to want to be there serving…very unfriendly and rude, I had to have a gentleman help me open a bottle…. Overall, the friendly people made our stay very pleasant. Great rooms, nesspresso coffee, toiletries, a 5 star hotel 🥰🥰

The location was on the seafront. Beautiful views. Tastefully decorated and very very clean.

We were upgraded to a superior room, which was a lovely gesture. Our room was beautifully decorated and furnished. Sadly we felt that there was too much furniture in the room for the size of it. The front entrance needed a little TLC. It looked unkept. We used the free SPA facilities. Sadly all the exercise bikes for the swimming pool were stored around the pool making it look shabby. Felt the parking costs of 29 euros was expensive.

Food rather disappointing except for breakfast One or two members of staff in the spa a little offhand. Spa a little too dark and airless.

Staff were very welcoming and accommodating. Super location on the beach next to the promenade.Short stroll to the town with plenty of shops and good restaurants. Very relaxing stay with a superb range of quality and choice of food at breakfast.

We were not keen on our evening meal could of been our choices although the dining room itself is plush and the service was faultless.

Lovely, clean property, large rooms and very friendly staff! The breakfast was great and it’s extremely well placed. Just next to the beach and plenty of bars and restaurants close by. A very restful and classic hotel

It was a great place but the property is a little bit damp so the room smelt a little damp and felt humid without the air conditioning

Large room with chairs for 2. Big screen TV that was easy to attach our Roku device. The spa was delightful with great staff. The location was incredible.

The extra deep tub in our room was too high for us to easily climb into, so if you are of a certain age - beware. Bathroom lighting was not great though there was a makeup mirror.

Excellent hotel in prime location on the sea front. Bar food was better value for money and more attentive service. Good spa and bar facilities

Service in restaurant was poor for us, room size was 22 square metres but the room seemed small and was expensive for what it was. 32 euros for breakfast is extortionate and that was borne out by the few people in the dining room
