The room in itself is simple, just what you need to spend a comfortable stay. What really made me appreciate that hotel is the kindness of the whole staff. Even if I don't speak Mandarin, they answered all my questions and helped me whenever I needed it. Also the quality + quantity of the breakfast, great way to start the day. The late check-out is enjoyable too. Last but not least, the overall vibe of the building. You can feel it's an old establishment which has been renovated to fit the modern society needs. I love that atmosphere, but that's just my personal taste. Oh and you are next to a central bus stop to go to Alishan. That's super convenient. And the Wagyu restaurant just in front is an absolute banger.

The hotel was in a pretty good location walking distance to the Night Market and the famous Turkey rice restaurant. Also plenty of other restaurants around. Ten minutes walk from local train station and bus stop nearby. The staff were very accommodating and attentive always willing to find a solution to any problems. The man in eye glasses could speak and understand a good amount of English which was very helpful. Good wifi connection in the room.

Having a shower curtain would help contain the shower water from spreading to other parts of the toilet.

Location is good, we had a driver so no issues. Breakfast is local Taiwanese porridge, some bread peanut butter and jam. I would suggest the hotel to consider to have or allow tourist to request for some fried eggs to go with bread, to cater to those who don't take porridge. Overall quite happy. Basically, Taiwan hotels are all very basic and practical, no wastage. No fancy interior nor exterior. That is what i observed when i travel from Kaohsiung, Taichung and Chiayi.

- great location: it is not far away from the train station and there is a bus stop to Alishan Forest just outside. Furthermore it is very near to a nice night market - personnel was nice - breakfast: western style, they have toast with jelly, peanut butter and chocolate and coffee/ milk which was enough for me. They also have fruits and Asian breakfast

The room was very very clean and it smelled like bleach/cleaner. Traffic noise was minimum, maybe because we were on the side facing the alley. All the staff were super nice and pleasant. I enjoyed the view from the 6th floor.

We didn't know the light switches on the wall by the door controlled the A/C, so we froze in the room and even requested extra blankets. We figured it out when we went to bed and hit the switch and the A/C turned off.

Great value, good location, free breakfast was a buffet that was pretty good. Staff was very helpful in calling us a taxi or letting us leave our bags in the lobby.

Phone in the room didn't work but that didn't matter for us. There is a switch you need to turn on the AC which was unlabeled so it took us a while to figure it out, but all good in the end!

Clean, helpful personel, air conditioning, good value for money but nothing extraordinary. It served me perfectly as a stop before going on the Alishan Railway. There is a great hot pot restaurant 200m away that I got recommended from a lady in the reception - thanks! Close to coffee shops, shops, and restaurants. The breakfast was buffet and was good

Booked the room with the small sitting room and it was a really good size. Big beds (firm, which I like) and had windows that even open! All else good with a nice buffet breakfast and even a paper delivered, sadly in Chinese

Usual Asian drain smell and that damp feeling in the bathroom, but at least you could open windows to clear and it was a hugh bathroom

Liked the location. Was there on Sunday night, and easy to walk to Wenhua Park where multiple music & dance entertainments were taking place. Also visited the Wenhua night market. There is free car parking at hotel at the exterior arcade if you get there soon enough to get a space (maybe six spaces). Good advance communication from the hotel about this.

Staff was nice, breakfast was very good. Parking was available, altough they had limited spots. I do recommend to try and communicate it in advance if you can.

In our room, there was a very unpleasant smell in the bathroom. It did not really go into the room, so it didnt bother us while sleeping. But still quite unpleasant.
