This is a beautiful house in a wonderful location with amazing grounds - we had planned to stay for 4 nights originally but booked in for an extra 3 as we thought it was so nice. We had a lovely big room with an extremely comfortable bed and great views to the sea. The house was really warm and friendly with lots of nice places to sit and relax, and there was an open honesty system of a range of drinks and snacks available for a small cost. There are some fantastic places to walk in the hills and next to the coast and some lovely places to visit nearby. Our hosts were very accommodating and the breakfast was excellent with lots of choice of fresh fruit, pastries and cooked options. And good coffee which is essential.

My husband and I absolutely enjoyed our 3-night stay! There are so many things we like about the hotel: - The garden is beautifully kept - I like how they use robot helping them with it. - The interior is very well kept. So much attention to detail! We love the bar particularly my husband who likes to have a gin and tonic after driving back from dinner. - Our room is spacious and I love the bathtub inside as well as the view by the windows. The bed is wide and super comfy! - The highlight is the breakfast- a lot of hotels we stayed before do not offer fresh fruits but here they offered fresh strawberries and various berries which I look forward to every morning! There is a wide range of breakfast options available, be it continental, English breakfast, pancakes etc.

Each room is different - some rooms have the private bathroom outside, some are inside the room. There is a helpful map showing layout of each room. Our private bathroom is just opposite our room which we were aware when we booked. The bathroom is well kept and so clean. The only thing is there is a bit of damp smell which I suspect is due to lack of windows…steams could not escape efficiently. I would recommend booking dinner before arrival as the restaurants in town seem to stop serving food by 7.30! So arrive early or book early to avoid disappointment. The owners have a long list of restaurants you can choose from.

Absolutely loved it!! If offered everything that we wanted for a quiet shut down holiday- peace, nature, comfort, luxury!! Great location with walking distance to nearby Bossington beach; lovely property with lots of period features, very well maintained with its old world charm. The breakfast offered was simple but perfect. The staff was very welcoming as well. Nothing to fault really!! :)

Nothing!! Only wished there was some option for meals especially dinner- at times you are out there in the lawns enjoying the beautiful nature and don’t really want to leave the property to hunt for food. But I appreciate the challenges as well! I just wish!! :)

Excellent location-walks straight from the accommodation and magnificent views. Very relaxed atmosphere

Slight issue with the booking through Booking.com as we specified a dog friendly room on the booking but the room we were allocated through Booking.com transpired to be a non dog room. Luckily we were able to sort out through the accommodation direct and pay the difference. I believe it is an issue with Booking.com's system where a location has some dog friendly and some non dog friendly rooms.

The stay was superb in all respects, starting with the excellent friendly welcome from the host, Guy. The location is wonderful, the room was perfect in all respects, with excellent attention to detail, and had a truly stunning view of the bay, right across to Porlock Weir and beyond. Breakfast was excellent and enjoyed with great views. The room was lovely, a good size, stunning view, comfortable bed, excellently furnished with a very good bathroom. The grounds are really lovely and good for wildlife. We saw a fox and an otter! All in all we had a truly wonderful stay at Bossington Hall and highly recommend it!

There was nothing that we didn't like.

Gorgeous location within walking distance of the beach, pubs, restaurants and many amazing local walks. Guy also directed us to Dunkery Beacon, a short drive away, and a dark sky reserve where the stargazing is phenomenal. The Hall itself is a splendid building, and the interior has been designed and furnished with incredible attention to detail. Superb bedrooms, huge bathrooms, comfortable lounge areas and a boot room for muddy boots, guests can find complete relaxation here. Breakfast at Bossington is an amazing event, with everything carefully sourced and freshly prepared, really fabulous. We will definitely be back, and would recommend a visit to Bossington Hall to to anyone looking for a relaxing and super-comfortable break in a beautiful part of the world.

Nothing, loved it all

This was the best B&B we stayed in during our trip through the UK. Every little detail is covered!Spacious, beautifully decorated rooms with smartTV, wireless charger & USB charger, beautiful views, amazing bed. I could go on for a while ;) Freshly cooked breakfast which was absolutely delicious. Great facilities such as a Cinema room with an honesty bar, including some cheese and nibbles making a nice light meal. EV charger worked seamlessly & at a fair price. Would definitely come back!

The breakfast was excellent. Lovely fresh fruit, pastries and selection of cooked to order hot breakfasts. I tried the smashed avocado on toast with poached egg, the vegetarian breakfast and pancakes with bacon and maple syrup. All were delicious with served by lovely staff members. The location is simply wonderful and Guy and his team went out of their way to accommodate my mother, my disabled father and I. For example, on arrival, the team had, thoughtfully, put an extra chair, with hard arm rests in the sitting room of the self-catered apartment which my disabled father could get in and out of.

We stayed in the apartment last year and were looking forward to returning. It is perfect for my elderly mother who has restricted mobility but was also equally enjoyed by my daughters too. Bossington Hall is beautiful inside and out in an absoloutely stunning location. Everything is to a high standard and we were well looked after. This is a very special place and an absoloute joy to be in. Look forward to returning again 😀

Pretty much everything was wonderful. The property is magnificent and maintained to a very high standard. The rooms are splendid and beautifully appointed. Opulent and welcoming. The lounge had breathtaking views down the valley towards Selworthy. The grounds around the Hall provide magnificent views of thew surrounding areas in many directions and also provide lovely walking. We both had a spa treatment whilst staying and both were wonderful. Very relaxing, and done by a very pleasant therapist. Highly recommended! The honesty system also warrants a mention. An honesty bar and evening cheese and biscuits was a lovely touch. And prices were all reasonable. Sat outside on the terrace on the warm Saturday evening with a G&T and cheese board was one of the highlights of our stay.

Only a very minor quibble, and nothing that spoiled our stay, really. The poached egg for my wife's breakfast wasn't runny, and the beans in my full english were barely warm. Apart from these too minor points, the rest of the breakfast was actually superb, and delicious, and hot. And incredibly generous, with lots of cereal, fruit, and french pastry options. May just have been a slight wobble on the day. It certainly wouldn't stop us from staying again, and we shall. Probably with friends as we've been praising the Hall to all of them.
