Robin Hood's Bay is a lovely spot and I would highly recommend Thorpe Green House. Janet and Steve were wonderful hosts and the room was large, clean, very comfortable and (despite the weather) very warm. The breakfasts - including home baked bread - were also excellent. On the day I was due to leave I was caught out by a sudden, heavy snowfall which made local roads, including the A171 to Scarborough, impassable. Janet and Steve very kindly offered to put me up for one more night without charge - thank you so much!

Our room was bright and spacious with a wonderful view. There was everything we needed, including a seating area and a lovely shower room. Janet is a wonderful host, she's friendly and welcoming and made our stay very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, lots of choices Janet also makes her own sourdough bread! Janet and Steve's garden is stunning, we had lovely weather and managed to enjoy watching the sunset sitting in their garden. We hope to visit again soon.

We had a wonderful 2 night stay, at Thorpe Green House Very spacious room, With a large bed and a large wardrobe, also coffee and tea facilities were provided. It was very clean and tidy, hosts were very friendly, if you need anything just ask. Not Far from Robin Hoods bay about a 20 minute walk downhill. There was a post office on station Road which was nearer the beach, which sold a few vegan pastries which was a bonus.

The only issue we had was the curtains let a lot of light in. The rooms would be better if they had blackout curtains this would make a huge difference.

Loved everything. Beautiful house and garden, warm and accommodating hosts, fabulous breakfast (home-made fayre, well cooked and served with pride) Room was beautifully decorated, clean and comfy. Huge bed. Little seating area was a nice touch. Shower was uncomplicated. Nice and hot. No ridiculous controls. Just how it should be. The hosts (and soppy dog!) Were so lovely. Unobtrusive, friendly, and nothing too much trouble. Stunning scenery. Walking distance to Robin Hood's Bay and Whitby a short drive away.

Really enjoyed our stay, the house was lovely and our hosts were really gracious. We felt comfortable and relaxed and we were made to feel very welcome. The super king bed was very comfortable and the vegetarian breakfast was great. Would highly recommend a visit, we will definitely be going back again. Good food in the local pubs and the location is close to Whitby, with a good bus service.

Loved the room we stayed in, the bed was huge and extremely comfortable. The room had everything you'd need, with teas and coffees that got refreshed. Bathroom was lovely and clean and had a big shower with great pressure. Our hosts were very friendly and Janet gave us lots of recommendations of places to go and eat! Breakfasts were sublime, with fresh homemade herby sourdough, it was a real treat and we'll definitely be back!

The room was very clean and spacious. Location good for us as both Scarborough and Whitby not too far away. Janet and Steve are a lovely couple and very knowledgable about the area. Although this is a vegetarian hotel and we are not vegetarians this was not a problem. The full english breakfast was good quality food and set us up for the day. Janets homemade sourdough bread was really nice. Thank you both we enjoyed our stay with you.

Janet, our host, was lovely her home, beautiful, great location, just a 10 minute stroll to Robi Hood Bay, or a 15-minute bus ride to whitby. Homemade breakfast is amazing. We would definitely recommend and return parking also no problem just at the side of the house.

The property was in a good location, not far from Robin Hood’s Bay. The hosts were very welcoming, and approachable. Breakfast was very tasty and Janet couldn’t do enough for us. Beautiful place and we can’t wait to go back.

Excellent bed and breakfast, the hosts were very helpful, the room was very clean with a view on the countryside, the bed very comfortable, spacious room with en-suite bathroom. Everything was very clean and comfortable. Great breakfast served by the host every morning! we had a wonderful and relaxing time, we stayed 3 nights! I would definitely stay again and definitely recommend it!
