Excellent location directly opposite the train station (and train station car park - as the hotel does not have any car park), right in the centre of Whitby. Pretty decent price for the car park compared to others I have used in the past (£12 for 24 hours). Staff really friendly. We booked the superior room/suite which of course was more expensive than a regular room but it was nice to have a "front room" as well as a bedroom. Tea,Coffee making facilities refreshed every day. The hotel/pub does not provide food but as we were right in the middle of the town there are plenty of places to eat and drink. The pub is also decent. Would stay again.

Easy check in ( just go to the bar & give in your booking details) We was in room 5 that was really nice, clean, good size. Kettle, cups,tea, coffee, filtred coffee as well if you wanted it, milk & biscuts provided. We had a double bed in one room and a settee bed in the other room that was made up ( that my friend said was very comfy) with a flat screen tv in the 2 bedrooms The Station Inn was smack bang where we wanted to be within easy walking distance of everything. The pub had a live artist, singer on till 10pm so you could hear it in your room if you were in but that did not bother us at all & it's to be expected if your staying smack bang central to everything in a extremely busy pub. We all thought it was extremely good value for the money we paid!! We loved our little stay there to celebrate our friends 59th Birthday ( 3 of us ) and I will definitely go back there with my hubby.

Room 1, Excellent location, across from the train station 2 minutes up the road to the car park as this property does not have a car park, 5-10 minute walk to the 199 steps and the abbey and all the restaurants and shops, the Nespresso machine with pods was lovely and the seaweed wash and shampoo was great, the room has everything you need, hair dryer, plenty of Yorkshire tea bags, coffee and sugar and 2 packets of lovely borders short bread, iron and ironing board, radio and a fan as the room can get hot, good quality furniture and accessories the bed and pillows were first class and very comfortable, good quality towels and a TV ( helps drown out the noise from the pub) ear plugs are supplied which was a fab touch, no noise from the pub below after 11pm definitely worth a stay

Room 1 is beautiful, they supplied 3 sets of ear plugs as the room is right above the bars very very noisy you can hear everything that is sang, shouted and music thankfully it’s very quiet come 11 pm then your woken up with the delivery around 7.30-08.00

Lovely clean, nicely decorated rooms. The “living room” with sofa bed was an unexpected bonus. Very pleasant to sit and have a cuppa. Great tea and coffee facilities and lots of it. Lots of electrical sockets in convenient places. The en-suite was very clean and looked new. Lots of very hot water and good water pressure. Nice toiletries supplied. Great location overlooking the harbour. Lovely pub with live music. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Everything, our room was spacious, clean and comfortable, staff accommodating and friendly. The location was perfect, right near everything, good choice of bars and restaurants around. You must go to magpies if you're coming here. Good entertainment in the station inn. Before we came, people had said rooms were noisy. This didn't bother us as we stayed downstairs for the live music, quiz etc or was out and about. We will definitely book again.

Maybe ask the window cleaner to come a bit later 🤣🤣

We spent two nights in a nice deluxe room with views of harbour and train station, so in a great location. The staff were welcoming and accommodating. We arrived early for check in to leave our cases, but as the room had just been cleaned, we got into it early. The room itself was up a couple of small sets of stairs, but not a problem to get to. First impressions were very good and the website photos are accurate. It came with a very comfortable king size bed and seperate bathroom with a freestanding bath and walk in shower. A corridor between the two rooms was used for coats, shoes, etc. The pub doesn’t serve food, but there are loads of nearby places to eat and you can walk to the old part of Whitby in five minutes.

Nothing at all to complain about, but an extra chair in the bedroom would have been useful.

Location ideal for arriving by train or coach, Inn from the street has a lot of appeal with architecture, condition of building and plantings. Room 4 was a joy to walk into, Kyle carried my bag and opened door to a superb double room, from checked wool cushions on bed to tweed curtains with velvet tie backs, the fresh white bed linen and towels. Staff are doing a fine job presenting a beautiful room for a comfortable stay.

It was difficult to get a wifi connection for admin. Did let staff know about weird flickering bed light.

Executive room was lovely in size, with very large seperate bathroom. Bed was comfortable and clean, and bathroom too. Also views to the harbour. We stopped on a Sunday night, and there was little to no noise, after 11.15 approx. Recon that it can be very noisy over the Friday and Saturday, (hence the kind gesture of earplugs provided), did not have to use.

Did not realise the room had quite a few stairs. Not really for anyone with mobility problems, I think on either floor.

We booked a family room. It was so clean, the decors looked new, I felt safe the whole time. Very comfortable, heating was great, shower was excellent. We had an excellent night's sleep. Room had everything we needed including a coffee machine, pods, and tea supplies. The staff at the bar who checked us in was excellent and helpful, and the staff who we gave the key back to the next morning was very polite and friendly. Would stay here again the next time we're in Whitby!

Nothing! Absolutely loved staying here. We stayed on a Saturday night and there was live music downstairs but it wasn't at all disruptive. You can hear it slightly in the room but not an issue at all, I actually enjoyed listening!

The location is very central, we parked in the Marina car park(payable by the RingGo app) we were welcomed by the staff, who explained the fire evacuation plan, and all other bits and pieces. The room was lovely(we were in room 5). Exceptionally clean, beautifully made up beds. The en-suite was very clean, not even a water mark on the taps! The bed was so comfy. There was a kettle with tea and coffee provided and also a nespresso machine. We had a couple of drinks in the bar before we retired for the night, reasonably priced drinks and friendly bar staff. Once in our room we couldn’t hear any noise from the bar area. All in all we had a lovely stay.
