Excellent location for visitors wanting to see Whitby, brilliant sized car parking space (accommodated my vw caddy comfortably and you can see your vehicle from the sitting room window), great communication from owner before and during our stay, bedrooms were a good size and the twin bedroom has a beautiful view of the abbey, the bedroom blinds were excellent quality in blocking out early morning light, beds were lovely and comfortable, fluffy soft towels, plenty of good quality toilet roll. The kitchen was above and beyond, including cloths sponges and washing up liquid, salt pepper, tea coffee sugar, pots and pans. We were even greeted with a fresh little milk in the fridge so we could have a cuppa straight away (what a thoughtful thing to do for your guests). Iron and ironing board, hoover, bin bags. There was a dishwasher although I didn't see any tablets provided but as it was only a 2 night stay we washed up by hand anyway . If you are staying longer maybe bring some from home. The dining table and settees in the front room area seated 4 comfortably. Out of the door turn right down the steps and turn right there's a poundland about 200yards down the road for anything you need, opposite that there's a cafe sweetshop, pub and butchers. Turn left at the steps and you are heading to the pavilion and whale bones.
The stairway and hallway up to the apartment front door were a bit narrow (as to be expected in Whitby!) which meant there wasn't much room to carry things up and we were really careful not to scrape the walls with our cases! This minor thing wasn't exactly a negative point but something to note if you are travelling with big suitcases.

Great location. Loved that we had a view of the abbey from both bedrooms. Clean, comfortable and everything we needed for a short break. Good location and huge bonus to have a parking space in Whitby. And the owner was in contact throughout to ensure we had everything we needed. Already looking into booking for next year.
Only slight negative is that the parking space is quite tight and the road narrow (hardly surprising in this location).Wasn't a problem for us but might be for others unfamiliar with the area.

The second time we've stayed and we returned as we knew the facilities were excellent. Everything great quality - beds and bedding especially. Slept very well and loved waking to such wonderful views. Kitchen and living area are fantastic too but we mainly ate out or brought back fish and chips. Having the parking space is such a bonus too! Thank you - we will be back!
Nothing to improve. Tiny thing would be maybe some some emergency products in bathroom cupboard - shower gel, shampoo as we forgot ours!

The area was very quiet. The parking spot is an excellent thing especially for Whitby. Everything we needed was already in the cottage for cooking , even a bottle of milk in the fridge. Easy to get down to the harbour. A bit harder to get back up though lol. Hosts replied to any queries. Getting in was easy as we had a code for a box in advance of the 3pm check in time. Lots of shops for bread, milk etc near by. Plenty pubs near. Grasby bar excellent food and fills you up. I put postcode into google maps and it took me straight there. Be warnes silver street is a very small narrow turn to the left. As is hunter street.

The location was excellent and it was handy having parking right outside. The apartment was clean and comfortable and equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The views from the apartment over the rooftops of Whitby are fantastic. The owner was excellent with communicating throughout, including directions to get to the parking, how to access the property, and allowing us to use the parking space until after we checked out.
Couldn’t fault anything

The apartment was beautifully decorated. It was very clean. It is light and airy with stunning views over to the Abbey. The kitchen had everything you could need. Great size rooms, it didn't feel at all cramped with four of us. The location is perfect, only a short walk to everything. We had a lovely stay here and will be back.
There was only one parking space, but parking in Whitby is limited, so I understand.

Great location and ideal parking space which you can see from the apartment. The road down to the apartment is narrow and the parking space quite tight to turn into if other cars are parked either side however it was fine for my car (corsa), just worth bearing in mind if you have a larger car. The views from the apartment are stunning and the apartment was spotless when we arrived, towels were provided. Beds were very comfy and lovely lounge space to relax in after a day exploring Whitby.

Great location, lovely little apartment. Everything was clean. Kitchen is well equipped. Comfortable beds. We had a great overall stay. Great view over the harbour and abbey from the bedroom windows. It's a nice short walk down the hill to the west side of the bridge, it's in a great spot. We unfortunately had a bit of trouble with noise from the neighbouring apartments but this isn't any fault of Jane the owner who was quick to help and apologetic on their behalf (even though the other apartment isn't owned by her). This sounded like it was a one-off, and we may have been unlucky with the holidaying neighbours on that occasion. This all said we were very happy with our stay and would recommend the place.

This property lived up to all the positive reviews. The kitchen was extremely well appointed with dishwasher, washing machine, microwave etc and every kind of utensil. The decor was very pleasing and everything was extremely clean. We were so pleased to realise we could see the abbey from both bedrooms. The instructions from the host were clear and helpful, the directions to the property were much appreciated and ensured we found it easily. It was in a good location, near enough to the centre but far enough to ensure peace and quiet. Free parking was a bonus as previous stays in Whitby were on paid car parks which was an additional expense. Four adults were in our party and all of us were very pleased with the accommodation. We will definitely be returning to this property.
