We stayed in the Dove Loft, quirky, beautiful and spacious. Location is perfect for being close to Whitby shops. The room had a fridge and good coffee and tea facilities. Courtyard is beautiful with seating area

Nothing really but would have arranged to drop off my luggage by car next time. We arrived at lunch time and the street was too busy to take a car up so we walked from the church street car park. We were able to bring the car when leaving and it was much easier. Again, not a criticism but the room was warm so windows were open. If you are a light sleeper bring ear plugs as the sea gulls like to tell you, you are at the beach !

Location was perfect and the little courtyard really was a quiet haven from the busy street. This was a lovely quirky property with some small bits to improve.

The space was limited due to the nature of the property however, there was a distinct lack of any shelving or space to put anything personal. Not even a shelf in the bathroom which meant the dreaded risk of balancing things on the back of the loo! As we were there for 3 nights it was more of an issue than someone staying for only one. They could do with a separate lower table to put the tea and coffee facilities on so at least you could then use the drawer top. The kettle is dangerous too - the lead is too short and you can't really reach the plug to take it out to pour so have to bring cup down the side of drawers - it's an accident waiting to happen. If those little things were ironed out it would be perfect!

The location was great, right in the middle of where you need to be, but nice and quiet. The room is not huge, but having access to a veranda and pretty courtyard to sit in was lovely. The bed was super comfy, room spotlessly clean and loved the bathroom and shower. Not much in the way of storage space, but for a 2 day stop over, it was perfect. The owners were both lovely to deal with. Last minute booking, but will definitely go back.

There isn't any parking at the accommodation, but there are a number of options for long stay parking, which are just a short walk away. I checked the website for Whitby before travelling and it says you can pay, by cash, card or app, but when we arrived the machines only take coins and the card machine didn't work on either of them. I managed to download the app (quite alien to me tbh) and paid for the 2 day stay. I would advise downloading the RingGo app before travelling if you don't have it, but it was easier than I expected to sort. They even send you a notification in good time before your parking expires.

We were upgraded and surprised on how good the rooms where. The location could not of been better well recommend and would love to stay again. Staff very helpful and loved the little court yard garden and lights. Local pubs only meters away well worth the visit.

Toilet in room six bit small for my husband who was quit large but rest of room was fantastic.

A unique and beautiful little place right in the centre of Whitby. Comfy bed and lots of beautiful features. It was very clean and had plenty of nice extras like the coffee and biscuits.

The only downside was there were no staff around and no answer on the phone when we tried to check in. Staff in the cafe nearby managed to contact someone eventually to find out what room we were in. A quick call to let us know what room it was would have been fine as the room was ready with keys in the door.

A gorgeous, quirky accommodation in a fantastic location. Lovely, clean room and cute balcony to sit on in the sun. Fantastic comfy bed, will definitely be staying again - a hidden Jem. The bistro downstairs was also great - had breakfast and an evening meal in there - fabulous food on both occasions and really lovely staff - couldn’t fault it xxx

Cosy and quiet, tucked away own an ally off the main road. Beautifully decorated and peaceful garden. Comfy bed and the balcony is a brilliant addition to room 5. Staff were very friendly and couldn’t do enough to help with anything you need. Will definitely be back in the future.

Nothing to dislike, only possible improvement I could suggest would be to fit a shower head into the bath in room 5 then it would be perfect. But perfectly lovable without it.

Beautiful quaint place to stay right in the heart of Whitby! So unique and quirky, which is right up our street. Lots of character and they even do massages and herbal treatments which is amazing. We didn’t get to try one but we will definitely be back & be doing that next time. Right in the centre of Whitby and a short walk to the Abbey!

A beautiful little hidden gem right in the heart of Whitby. The garden is absolutely magical and a really nice spot to sit. Nice and handy for Sanders coffee shop, great for breakfasts. Our second visit here did not disappoint, our hosts were very welcoming. We'll definitely be back!

Amazing place and Amazing location, We had such a lovely time and will 100% be staying again very soon. The Staff / Owners were really helpful and lovely people. Even the toiletries that were left in the room were top notch. Anytime we stay in Whitby we will stay here. Don't even bother looking anywhere else. The fairy lights outside when we were going to sleep were just the icing on the cake. A truly magical place, a hidden gem!
