Hosts were lovely and friendly, you are in their home and they are there to help, offer assistance and recommendations, but do so without being in any way intrusive and they set you up and leave you be. I arrived in a bit of a tizz and Gill calmed me down instantly, helped me with parking for the car and showed me to the room pointing out the facilities on the way. My partner had competed in a cycle event and arrived later in the evening and Jackson was on hand to kindly store his bike for us. Breakfast was fab and great veggie options, coffee was excellent, juices and cereals were available too. Our room had all the standard facilities you expect such as crisp white sheets and towels and lovely extras such as cafetiere coffee, homemade biscuits and a fridge with glasses and bottle opener also to hand.

Nothing at all. Pillows are on the firm side.

The owners were lovely and really friendly. The breakfast options were plentiful and the food served at breakfast was delicious! The Sausages on the full English were gorgeous. The place it's self was only a short stroll away from Whitby pavilion and the Abbey so everything is literally within walking distance.

The only thing we had trouble with was the doors and locks. The doors and locks work but with it being an older house it can take a little bit of finesse

Excellent welcoming bed and breakfast with friendly owners and a friendly cat. The room was comfortable and clean and the breakfast was delicious with a great variety of options available. Really usefully provides parking permits for the spaces across the road. Location is great walking distance to the beach and to the Abbey. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Whitby :)

Great location, easy walk into Whitby within a few minutes. Lovely room on the top floor, such nice touches, i.e., the biscuits, the wine glasses and a bottle opener :). Everything looked so fresh, clean and beautifully decorated. There was so much choice for breakfast, it really raised the bar for us!

Nothing. We’ll definitely book again.

Fabulous location just a short walk from the centre of town, and directly across from a beautiful park. We received a very warm welcome and wonderful hospitality throughout our stay. The house is spotlessly clean and very tastefully decorated. Our room was set out as per our request, we had a fridge in the room and we had tea/coffee making facilities and lovely home-made cookies waiting for us. The beds were super comfy and we slept very well. Our room (Rooftops) had a private shower-room and WC up a short flight of stairs, we had been provided with quality robes to make the short trip, the bathroom facilities were exceptionally clean and well maintained. Breakfasts were wonderful, with a wide choice of options to cater for every taste, accompanied by lovely coffee and tea, delivered by attentive and friendly hosts. We were sent lots of information prior to our stay which really helped us plan ahead. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Number 6 to others, it was a wonderful stay.

Communications with the hosts prior to arrival was great, and we managed to get an early check in with no problems at all. The hosts greeted us with a smile and made us feel really welcome throughout our stay. The beds were very comfortable and the facilities were fantastic, modern, clean and like a home from home. There is a small fridge in the room with milk and water provided along with tea, coffee and cookies which is replaced daily. The breakfast was the best breakfast I have ever had in a B&B, it was fresh produce and plenty of it. If I come to Whitby again I will certainly see if number 6 is available. Loved every minute.

No problems at all with the property.

No.6 was a fabulous place to stay. Welcomed in to tea coffee and home made warm scones which was a lovely touch. The house is spotlessly and our room was lovely. It was great to have a fridge in the room with water and fresh milk. The hospitality tray had ground and instant coffee and cookies with very clear labelling regarding allergies. Robes were provided as our bathroom was not en suite but was for our sole use. Lovely products provided in the bathroom. Breakfast was excellent with a wide range, so something to suit everyone. Gill and Jackson were the perfect hosts, nothing was too much trouble and happy to advise on eating out and entertainment ideas. Couldn't have wished for a nicer place to stay and will definitely return. Thank you both for a lovely stay.

Excellent hosts who are so friendly and helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. Spacious room, exceptionally clean and excellent location only 10 minutes from Whitby front. We had breakfast included with our stay and can not recommend this enough, plenty to choose from in a morning from cereal, fruit to a full English breakfast cooked to perfection. We where arriving late and Gill and Jackson even saved us a parking spot outside of the property. will definitely be booking again and recommending family and friends. 10 out of 10 on everything.

The location was excellent - less than 10 minutes walk to the harbour, but a nice quiet spot opposite the park and museum. The house has been beautifully restored and really well equipped with high quality bedding/toiletries etc. Breakfasts were amazing - ordered the day before from a really good menu. Had to be English breakfast the first day, which was great. Also highly recommend the American pancakes, which I had on day 2. Parking advice/permits were really helpful, as well as local advice about where to eat, what to do, how to get around etc. Lovely people and place.
