We loved everything. Our room was perfect, spotlessly clean with a gorgeous ensuite, fluffy towels and lovely toiletries. The hotel was well located, looks fabulous inside and out and is beautifully decorated. Breakfast was delicious, we stayed for 3 days. All the food was fantastic and there is even a “Special “ offered each morning as well as the usual full English (or whichever parts you want) and cereals, yoghurt, fruits, juices. Even the tea and coffee is served beautifully. Every detail has been carefully considered. The team are so friendly and helpful too.

Room was modern, comfy and tastefully decorated. Bed was great and the room came with everything we could want, including access to a communal fridge and little bottles of fresh milk which I thought was a nice touch. Free parking permit included in the price (and believe me, in Whitby this is a huge advantage!). Breakfast was cooked to order and very good.

Similar to another property I recently stayed in, there was no one there to greet you on arrival. I think it would have been good to meet a human being after a long trip, as checking in using a code feels a bit impersonal. No other issues.

Gorgeous hotel on top of the hill. Our room was lovely, very small but had everything we needed. Bed is really big and very comfy. Tea and coffee replenished daily. Bathroom very small but beautifully done and incredibly clean. The staff could not be better. Great knowledge of the area and incredibly welcoming during your stay. Breakfast is excellent.

For me personally it was a little too far from the main area of shops and bars and on top of the steep hill bit almost all the hotels in Whitby are up that way. It does however mean you get amazing views out across the see from certain rooms and as soon as you steep outside.

Ideally located for everywhere we needed to be in Whitby, the room we had was spacious, clean and equipped with everything we needed. The organisation of the self check-in and parking arrangements was great, and breakfast the next morning was lovely and the service was really friendly and welcoming. Upon leaving, we accidentally left something in the room, and we promptly received a phone call to let us know so we could come back for it which we thought was very kind of them. Overall it was incredible value for money and we would 100% stay again.

I booked the suite as a birthday gift for my partner and it did not disappoint. The room was beautiful as was the bath, all very clean and cosy. Lovely little extras like coffee machine, which was needed as the bed was so comfy we fell back asleep and missed breakfast. Breakfast the next day however was lovely, we got parked right outside and no issues at all with the permit. Everything was thought of and it was a lovely walk into Whitby. We will definitely back! Absolutely loved it!

No complaints at all, it was fab. On a side note the hairdryer in the suite has a lose connection but still worked when holding the wire, just so you know ☺️

we stayed at the Belfry Friday till Sunday last week. what a fantastic hotel. the room was amazing. we loved the stand alone bath in the room. the bed was so comfortable and spotless. the breakfast was really good quality produce. me and my partner will definitely come again.

we picked the wrong weekend as my partner is a bit claustrophobic and it was goth weekend ( didn't know till we got there lol. but apart from that there was nothing we didn't like.

Modern and stylish, spotlessly clean, extremely well run and with great staff. Bedding, towels toiletries are of excellent quality. Great tea tray selection including fresh milk. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful with a great choice of 'main'.

Minor niggles - Pillows a bit lumpy, no tissues in the room. Cold breakfast minimal fruit choice let an otherwise excellent breakfast down.

It’s hard to fault The Belfry. Fantastic B and B. Quality from start to finish. Great rooms, comfortable beds , and tasteful decor, and wonderful quiet location. Free parking ,by permit, given to you on arrival. Wonderful breakfast that sets you up for the day ahead. Owners and staff are fantastic, they can’t do enough for you. Lovely feel to The Belfry and so close to Whitby town centre and not far from the Abbey. Difficult to beat overall. You’ll be staying in a memorable B & B, that will be hard to beat.

Initially I thought parking via the free permit given on arrival might be tricky, but we never had a problem finding a space when we went out on about. The only problem was we didn’t stay there long enough.

Great Location!! Clean and room was lovely and bright! Warm and comfy room as well. I stayed with my little boy too he loved it just as much. Only thing as this is personal preference the pillows were a little hard for me but that’s just personal preference. Brreakfast wad lovely and the tea and coffee/biscuit selection was nice. I loved the fresh water and also the option for fresh milk was a lovely touch! Would definitely stay here again. Thanks for making my little boy and me feel safe and welcome. 😊

Beautiful room which seemed recently refurbished. Absolutely spotless. Easy door code check in and a parking permit for our stay which worked really well. Phil and Sophie and their staff were very welcoming . We had lovely breakfasts cooked fresh to order. A great location in the town.

Honestly ? Nothing . We felt very at home and it was the perfect base to explore Whitby and the surrounding area.
