We would definitely stay here again, the room was nice, the bed was so comfortable I got the best night's sleep I've had in a long time. The check-in was good, and we were able to check in early and wasn't rushed to check out. The location is good within walking distance to whitby. We had our window open during the night and didn't hear any road noise or no noise from other guests. The breakfast was also amazing, and the lady serving and the chef were brilliant at making sure no one was left waiting 😀 👌. Again, it's best we've stayed in, and we've stayed in a few in the area. So we will be back again soon. Thank you for a lovely stay

So much to love about this place, I was overjoyed to find the key to check in early and that I was able to leave my luggage in my room and explore. (It would be worth making this option clear if available as I thought if I hadn’t made it there by one I could checking in while 4.30) so made a mad dash. The room was lovely with a comfy, almost double/single bed. There was a library of books to read on the landing and breakfast was delicious with a sausage to take away each morning for my dog. I have a medical alert dog and this was never challenged or even mentioned which is as it should be. The location is great for the stations and such a short walk for everything Whitby has to offer. All the important things are there, great location, lovely room, hearty breakfast (Whitby kippers are divine) and such amazing value, you won’t find better. Thank you
One tiny thing is sometimes the waiting lady and who I spoke to on the phone can seem quite curt in manner, she was bordering on rude when I went to get a glass of juice and when I first called. She then seems to go over the top trying to make up for it. The cleaning lady was however a treasure and so polite and friendly and a pleasure to talk to. Tiny glitches aside this is a gem.

Our room was on the top floor which was a decent size and a good bathroom . Beds were comfy with lovely soft pillows . Due to the recent hot weather we only slept on the top of the bed as it was exceptionally hot . There was a fan in the room which helped a little . The room had a kettle with complimentary tea ,coffee and lovely biscuits 😋 along with a hairdryer and soft white towels. You were asked what you want for breakfast the following morning . Breakfast is lovely which is of good quality. Arundel house is a short walk into town which is handy along with a bus stop outside also . Would stay again but would ask for a ground floor or 1st floor .
The curtains in the bedroom could be better ,they barely cover the window width wise .

All staff members met us with a smile. We were very fortunate to be able to check in early in the day and leave our car although, understandably, this cannot be expected. The location is perfect and from our top floor bedroom we had a lovely view of the Abbey. ruins. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was very tasty and substantial. The fruit compote a lovely addition. We would most definitely stay again. Arundel
There was nothing worth mentioning that we didn't like as the price we paid was so reasonable.

Fairly central with some parking, comfy beds, good communication.didnt have breakfast because dogs not allowed in dining area which is fair enough, plenty of places within 10 min walk.
Room was a bit tired round the edges but overall was a good price for location, bathroom on the small side, not really the hotels fault but always find it difficult on booking.com to establish whether there is a charge for dogs and have to get in touch with the hotel directly,£15/night in this case which still kept the room within our budget.

Friendly and great communication about arrival and even checked on me when I hadn’t arrived as expected. Pleasantly surprised with my single room with a small double bed. Everything about it was well thought out, right down to usb sockets beside the bed and a touch lamp. Absolutely amazing breakfasts! Good location only a short walk downhill to the harbour. A lovely homely hotel with great owners and staff. I will definitely use again and recommend.
It’s probably not ideal for people with mobility problems as there are stairs and coming back is uphill. For me it was perfect though.

Host family was very nice and friendly, the house looks nice and is in a great central location, is spotlessly clean, very comfortable beds and breakfast was nice. Prices was also great deal for 2 single rooms
The bathrooms in the single rooms are abit small and missing some helpful little things like a shelf, toothbrush/paste holder and in the 2nd floor single room the bathroom tap is annoyingly to big for the sink but the bathroom is workable and certainly doesn't take away from our stay here

Very friendly welcome and was good to be able to check in before 1pm. Owner gave us good recommendations what to do in Whitby. Getting there early gave us the day in lovely Whitby. Great location - just a short walk to the quay with all it's facilities. Nice breakfast service pre-ordered the day before which makes sense to reduce waste. Comfortable room, good shower room and plenty of hot water with good pressure. I will stay here again.
Nothing to dislike.

Amazing location and view of the Abbey from our room. Staff were so lovely and helpful, the early check in was so useful! A lovely breakfast but choosing what we wanted on arrival did mean that inevitably the kids had changed their minds slightly by the time breakfast came along. These changes were dealt with immediately and with no issue. The ensuite could benefit from an extractor fan I think. The smell of damp was quite strong. Other than that, the room was brilliant!

Location , 5 minutes walk to Whitby town centre , plus 1 minute walk away from the start of the cinder track . The host and the staff were all very nice and made me feel very welcome . The room was more than I expected with everything I needed and the view from my window was Whitby abbey which was a bonus. I’m already looking at rebooking later in the year . Breakfast was one of the best I’ve had in a long time .. black pudding optional but yummy .
N/a everything was 10/10
