Lovely place to stay. Martin n Paula were excellent hosts. Breakfast 10 out of 10 Rooms immaculate with nice little touches such as tissues cotton wool body lotion etc Would 100% recommend

Starting from the beginning, Martin met us when we first arrived and we found him to be very welcoming and helpful. Our room was very comfortable and well equipped, the bathroom was spacious and we had the luxury of a full size bath as well as a shower cubicle. Both were very clean and well arranged. The dining room was very attractive, all of the linen on the tables was immaculate and well pressed, the cutlery and crockery were clean . The breakfast choice was very good but the quality of the food was as good as if not better than anywhere we have ever stayed. We will definitely return in the future and highly recommend Ellie’s to anyone thinking of visiting the area.

The breakfast was fantastic with a myriad of options. My wife had eggs Benedict which I’ve never seen in a guesthouse before. My bacon sos and black pudding on a bread cake was cooked to perfection and everything was so good we booked to go again next year.

Nothing, you can’t improve on perfection. Martin and Paula run a superb guesthouse, the rooms are spotless, spacious and comfortable and the en-suite bathroom is excellent with a great big shower. The property is a short walk from the seafront which is perfect as it is really quiet late at night.

From the personal welcome to the happy departure, there was nothing not to like about this B&B. The friendliness was obvious, the property spotless and inviting, the location, 10 minutes from the swing bridge was excellent, although the walk is a little steep at times. Parking was on street with a permit system in operation. Martin supplied the required permit for the two days of our stay without being asked and our car stayed parked close to the B&B throughout our stay. I can imagine that parking during peak visitor season could be tight.

Location was great, short walk from town center. Accommodation was beautiful, and provided all the amenities required for a short break, including the extra details of bubble bath and sponges. Staff at Ellie's were more than friendly and and helpful, real pleasure staying here. Breakfast was yet again outstanding and every measure was made to provide a full gluten free breakfast.

Ellie's guest house exceeded our expectations and we would definitely visit again and highly recommend to others.

Welcoming owners, spotlessly clean, excellent room...beautiful bathroom with bath and separate shower, 5 minutes to the nearest pub and 10 minutes to the town centre. Breakfast was superb with excellent service. I will definitely be booking Ellies next time I visit Whitby.

We had a great stay at Ellies Guest house. Our room was clean and comfortable. There was free wifi and the breakfast was very good and catered for our needs with plenty of choice. parking was provided nearby which was welcome in such a built up area. Owners Martyn and Pamela were friendly and made us feel welcome. We would definitely recommend to friends and family wanting to stay in Whitby.

Lovely short stay, very friendly hosts. The most delicious breakfast, highly recommend the eggs benedict, best ever!! Knowledgeable hosts and will give you handy tips and recommendations...made the stay very relaxed, you can get parking here which is very beneficial, just ask for the permit when you arrive/message to confirm arrival. Good location.

Brilliant guest house, our room was spotlessly clean, well furnished with a very comfortable bed. Our hosts Martin and Paula were Brilliant and nothing was too much trouble for them.
