The location of the property was perfect for us, even though it was quite far from the town. However, Sana and his brother offered lifts to restaurants and Sigiriya rock and picked us up when we were ready. Also, Sana's brother gave us a tour of the lake and the local area when we first arrived. They recommended Sri Lien restaurant, which was so good we went there three times. They organised our safari at the Kaudulla National Park and organised our transport to our next destination. The breakfasts were good, with delicious organic fruit from their garden. We had a dinner there and it was also very good. The room was huge, with a comfortable bed with lovely sheets and a mosquito net. Our favourite feature of the property was the verandah overlooking lush jungle vegetation. Sana and his family were the nicest hosts you can wish for. We loved our stay there.

Could do with some hooks and a couple of hangers for our clothes.

Peaceful surroundings with sounds of nature from dawn till dusk. Plenty of space, lovely balcony and area for meals. Beautiful garden with visiting wildlife. We saw mongooses, peacocks, a scorpion, toads, frogs, lizards, woodpeckers, various other birds. Loved it. Niranjala, Fantastic and the family were amazing. We had homemade authentic sri lankan curry. Breakfast was huge with omelette, hoppers, donuts, bananas and the best tea. Great location for access to lions rock and Pidurangula rock.

Clean, comfortable and great to relax. The family are some of the kindest people we’ve ever met! They were so generous, giving us lifts down the road so we could get dinner and picking us up later when we finished- free of charge. Each morning we had breakfast and they would ask what we would like to eat. We had some great chats sometimes via Google translate with to get a better understanding and translation to English. I would definitely stay here again if visiting Sigiriya!

Located very close to Sigiriya (Lion rock) and Pidurangala. I was able to visit Sigiriya to view sunrise. The host was very kind and helpful, and offered me lifts to see both above places (early morning 5:30am to see sunrise at Sigiriya) This place has a authentic Sri Lankan vibe, and at the back of the property is a small lake where you can enjoy a quiet evening time. I was able to enjoy a very traditional Sri Lankan breakfast during my stay.

This has been our favourite stay in Sri Lanka. We wished we could have stayed longer. We loved getting to know Sana and meeting his lovely family. He is a very kind host and a pleasure to talk to, even teaching us some Sinhala. He really took care of us and showed us an insight into local life, taking us on walks to places we wouldn’t have found by ourselves for beautiful sunsets. The room is spacious and well presented, the balcony terrace is incredible looking out on to his garden of fruit trees and pidarangula rock. To the rear side of the room there is another cosy outside private area where we had the most delicious Sri Lankan breakfasts and dinner with fresh juices made from fruits grown by Sana. For getting around Sigiriya bicycles are provided and we were driven to Pidarangula rock at 5am to start the hike. Thank you, it was a stay we will never forget.

The room is family owned, they were wonderful, gracious and helpful. Breakfast was traditional, which we thoroughly enjoyed.

Located right next to a very quiet lake. The owners are kind. The food is delicious. I feel like coming another evening.
